Lose 10 pounds in 7 weeks - anyone like to join me?

Hello we did a thread a bit like this last year and it worked well so I thought I'd try it again.

I have a wedding to go to in 7 weeks and I'd like to lose 10 pounds. I'm going to follow a low fat diet and do more exercise.

I'll post my losses (and any gains) on a Weds morning.

Come and help me!

Oooh! I love the pah! Ready!!!!!
I'm afraid that rather sums up my eating this week thus far!!!!!

I feel fine...much more positive again (about ttc)...now I just have to wait for another two weeks or so without resorting to raiding the food cupboard too much!!!
Already had two sausages, two apples and a piece of fruit cake and only 2 days down.....14 to go!!!

I also do the core plan like PCM.....you can have 21 points a week on top of eating freely from the special list (!) so you cam still have your chocolate treat every day.

linjasmom · 22/04/2007 00:15

Hello everybody, I did some walking plus housework today so have worked off some calories, but also ate pizza with some friends today. 10 minutes in my mouth and 10 years on my hips I am afraid.... Oh well, it did taste fab! Won't be on a few days now, off on vacation! Ta-ta

Ready · 21/04/2007 18:29

Coggy - You are allowed to EAT, you are going through lots! I know that is not what I should be saying on a weight-loss thread - but pah! How are you feeling? Fingers and toes crossed.

Ready · 21/04/2007 18:27

Theheadgirl - I am still motivated, despite gaining 1/2 a lb last week - Have been really good this week (so far) to compensate for it. Today I have hoovered like a woman possessed - I use the hose rather than push the Dyson around - so pretty virtuous. And was in the garden for a few hours, weeding, leaf clearing, mulching and looking all smug at neighbours garden - not a patch on ours Our pear and apple trees are blossoming, and look fan-dabby-dozy! So I think I have burned off some calories today! I hope it pays off on Wednesday!

Ready · 21/04/2007 18:22

PCM - Intrigued. I do WW pure points (don't go to meetings, only got the books). How long is this list?? I am not sure I could cope with having foods that are off-limits. I love my 2 squares of Green&Blacks as a treat.

theheadgirl · 21/04/2007 18:12

Thank you pussycat but don't picture me cheering you on whilst you are doing the deed - I am sure it will put you off!

pussycatmomma · 21/04/2007 17:52

hellooooooo
Thanks for all the welcomes everyone...
I will have to give you my weigh in on a thursday night as that is the day of the ww meeting, and I dont have scales in the house (tool of the devil!). So mine will just have to be the last horse in.
First day was fine, today has been ok. I am doing the ww one where you dont count the points you just eat foods off the big list, i think it is called The Core Plan. I'll see how I do with it this week and might swap if I dont lose anything.
Have a great weekend everyone, enjoy the sunshine if you get some! (((waves )))
xxx
by the way love the idea of having a Headgirl cheering us all on with the ttc, how kind are you!!

theheadgirl · 21/04/2007 16:06

Hi everyone - it has got a bit quiet you are right Ready. Hope everyone is OK, and still feeling motivated. This Wednesday will be our 4th weigh in, so don't give up everyone.

I had a very bad day yesterday, ate out twice, but now I'm back on course. I still want to try to improve the amount of exercise I do. Lets see how things are looking on Wednesday.

coggy · 20/04/2007 22:01

restaurant.............is that better!?!

coggy · 20/04/2007 22:00

hey Pusscat .
Very impressed that you started WW on the same day as AF...I generally need a few days to binge eat and drink!!!!!

I have eaten, eaten, EATEN the past few days.
Been down to the clinic every other day this week and it's a good hour and a half away so I've had to eat out at Pizza Hut, cafes, fish resteraunt and other nice yummy places!!
Nice for me...not so good for the waistline!

Ready · 20/04/2007 11:05

Welcome Pussycatmomma - Weigh-in is on Wednesday, and other than that it is a free- for all

linjasmom - I am still sulking at putting on 1/2 a lb

It has quietened down a lot on here!! Hope everyone is doing well.

theheadgirl · 19/04/2007 23:11

Welcome pussycat don't forget to post on "weigh in wednesday".

Not all of us ttc on this board, I am here as weight loss buddy and ttc cheerleader.

Hope you're feeling better Mrs Mc

linjasmom · 19/04/2007 21:25

Welcome pussycatmomma! And good luck with ww. I am doing ww at home without the meetings - just use the lists. Works pretty well so far.
MrsMc, I hope you are feeling better now! And congrats, may I present you the platinum star for this week? By the way, I will not be here for next week's weigh-in.
Vacation, yippie!
Ready, how are you? You've been really quiet these past few days!
Hey everyone, hope you are all doing oK, somehow we all seem to have slowed down on here. Wish you all a nice evening!

pussycatmomma · 19/04/2007 21:21

eeeeeeeeekkkk
10.8!!!!! think that is the most i have ever been.....at 5.3 thats not good!
However onwards and upwards, Im going to really be going for it from now on
((v. hopeful emoticon!))
xx

pussycatmomma · 19/04/2007 17:12

hellllooooooo Ive been looking for this thread for bloody aaaaaagggges !!! glad i have finally found it. It looks friendly and poplular so this is the one i have plumped for (no pun intended!)
I could just do with a bit of moral support...have decided to start weightwatchers and tonight is the night of the first meeting! Not sure what i weight at the moment, just know it is too much! Im hoping to lose weight and try focusing on something else other than ttc. See if that gets me anywhere for a change!
Sorry to crash, thread too long and chatty to read all, but nice to see some familiar faces
xxxxxxx
if someone could give me the lowdown or is it just a free for all?

Roskva · 19/04/2007 13:24

Hi everyone, we were away over Easter and then my Mum has been staying with us, so not only did I not weigh myself for weeks, the diet rather went out of the window too. So on the scales this morning I was 10st, which is 2lb heavier than when I last weighed in .

So there is now no unhealthy food in the house, and I am not going to eat between meals.

coggy · 19/04/2007 11:56

I am a no-weigher this week!
Got stuck in a traffic jam and couldn't get to class!!!

Is this a really sneaky way of getting more off next week??!!!

mumto3girls · 19/04/2007 10:18

I lost 1lb....but i think it was just forgetting to drink coke one day ( normally drink about 6 cans a day )

mum03 · 19/04/2007 10:17

'fession time for me: - stayed the same - arggg. But then I did virtually no exercise and had bars of chocolate, so perhaps I deserve to have put on weight, so not so bad after all

Ready · 18/04/2007 20:23

No time to chat... but just wanted to say I gained 1/2 a lb! Tut. Sulk. Mope.

Well done losers

theheadgirl · 18/04/2007 18:40

Well done MrsMc, you are this weeks winner of a large bar of "Divine" chocolate

cedar12 · 18/04/2007 12:33

Pink elephant sound like wheat dosent like you at all. But white toast and butter is so nice isnt it.
Linjasmom its going in the right direction I can put on 2lbs easy when I have my af.
Eplipse keep the exercise up makes you feel really good dosent it.
Are we going to make the 15 lb target.

eclipse · 18/04/2007 10:56

No good news here. Much the same as last week. Can claim to be 12st 2 but definitely camping on the 12st 3 border.

Don't think I've had a bad week, just not good enough to lose weight. On a happy note, doing loads of exercise and probably the fittest I've been since having ds, but it's making no difference to my weight. Harrumph.

Good luck to all those still to weigh in, she mutters through gritted teeth. If only they'd stay gritted (whatever that means) whenever the bread tin's around.
