Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Hi msjuniper, I've recently sat down and written a letter (that I'll never send) articulating my feelings and experience of my pregnancy and miscarriage. I've found it really cathartic. Maybe I'll share it one day, who knows. I'm not sure I could discuss with my book group though! I'm trying to talk about what happened irl though. I'm astonished that it's 1 in 4 or 5 and that it seems such taboo subject, it is such a traumatic experience though Flowers

Hi Bertie and Lime. Thanks for setting up the new thread.

Really sorry to read the stories of Batman and those who posted at the end of the previous thread.

Just been at my book group where fertility issues and mc were a topic of conversation, but I don't know them well enough to share so I just bit my lip hard. Maybe one day.

Thanks for the reply lime19. I did a test a few days ago and it was negative.

I guess I'll just have to wait see if it is AF and it carries on as I've not had a three week break yet. All very odd. Confused

Hello batmans, so sorry for your loss.

So my period took 7 weeks to come back.

Slightly different but After my surgical management, I had a few days of light bleeding. Then a break then quite a long period of more bleeding then a 3 week gap then my period.

It probably depends on how far along you were and how quickly the miscarriage completed.

I had read online that to be classed as a period you needed "around 3 weeks of no bleeding". Not sure how true that is. I had quite a few weeks of a positive test too. Very annoying.

I also had a few other symptoms a couple of weeks before... ewcm and possible ovulation I guess. So the timing kind of works out.

Hopefully it is your period and things are normal again from now.

Hello

I'm after some advice- had a miscarriage that started on 29th June, proper bleeding began a couple days after. Then it continued until around a week ago with continued brown spotting until today. Today i think I've come on my period (around 3 weeks after my miscarriage) as I've had bright red blood and looks very like AF. Do you think this is my period or a prolonged miscarriage bleeding? Any experiences of first period after miscarriage and how long it took to arrive? I'm confused as there hasn't been any clear break in bleeding. Thank you
