Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Bertie have you tested?

yellowfrontdoor · 21/07/2017 20:40

Hi Newbies 👋🏻 I'm so sorry for your losses Flowers

Bertie sorry about your FIL.
Are you testing tomorrow? Wishing you all the luck!

Work was hard, but I got lots of cuddles & kind words. Plus, they thought I wasn't in today so I just did a half day, perfect start really. Apart from the first 15 mins, it was nowhere near as bad as I thought.

Got a very faint squinter on an IC, felt relieved after my freak out last night sorry everyone.

Sugar82 · 21/07/2017 20:28

Hi
Im 34 and had my mmc at 12 wks .I had found out on the 8th june and miscarried naturally on the 10th june..Nice to be able to speak to people in similar situations.xx

Lime19 · 21/07/2017 20:15

Welcome newbies! Sorry you find yourself here.

Mulder, thanks for reply. Glad it's not just me! Hopefully it's just one of those things. If I was being a hopeful twat, I'd say it was Pain from REALLY strong ovulation from releasing a SINGLE (not twins again thank you very much) perfect egg that will soon be fertilised and beautifully implant. Sigh, we can hope I guess...

MulderitsmeX · 21/07/2017 20:08

lime i had loads of weird unexplained pains for 4 months after MC. It turned out to be nothing but you should go to docs as you said could be a cyst/etc.

I had ovary pains and then also general pelvis pains pretty much all month. X 4 months!

thisismadness77 · 21/07/2017 19:34

Hello can I join? Smile
I'm ttc after my 3rd consecutive mc, the last two of which were mmc. I have a 4 year old and had no problems with her. With each of the mc I have fallen pg on the first attempt, as I did with DD. Initial blood tests didn't show anything much. I feel like I'm setting myself up for a fall with 3 unexplained mc. So I'm a little half hearted, will probably only try once more. Things are good as they are, I just don't want to regret not having another, I know my DD would love it. I am 40 next month and don't want to spoil my first hol abroad in 6 yrs if I'm having a mc around then. Almost wish we had waited a month! I guess my expectations are just rock bottom.

TurquoiseDress · 21/07/2017 19:25

Ah ha new thread! Smile

Loving the title!
Can I take some credit for the "hopeful twat" part of the title please? It sums me up totally Grin

Am CD14 today- this always makes me vaguely excited & hopeful aka hopeful twat.

The last time I fell pregnant was March last year, we had sex once that month and when I looked back in my diary I realised we had DTD v late on CD14/early hours CD15.

Plus a load of wine earlier in the evening Wine

To sum me up- TTC number 2, have a LO aged 3. I was pregnant last year but bad news at the dating scan in the summer at almost 13 weeks. Baby was due December 2016.

We have been TTC since I got my BFN 3 weeks after medical management. Not a whiff of a BFP since then, apart from positive OPKs which are as exciting as it has got.

I have also just turned 39 (gulp), so have spent my entire time being 38 trying to become pregnant! Sad

DH due home from work tonight, we should get some action all being well. CD14 watch this space...HT! Wink

Wishing you all BFPs very soon!

Lime19 · 21/07/2017 19:10

Good luck to those testing.

Something weird just happened to me. I've had sharp ovary pains all day. I'm cd 10. It peaked this afternoon and became quite sharp and now no pain at all Hmm

I'm really worried it's related to these cysts I've now got. I've got a scan Wednesday to check how bad they are. After this I'm not expecting good news. I do not normally feel any part of my cycle. But this was a definite ovarian pain.

Anyone else had pain after their first af? My af finished a few days ago. It's not that. It's a strange pain.

MulderitsmeX · 21/07/2017 18:54

Welcome and Flowers to the newbies.
Sorry to hear about your fIL Bertie.

I am exhibiting superhuman self control Winkand have not poas at all yet this cycle and I'm on CD 27! Period due CD 30 so will 'treat' myself to a pg test over the weekend. Think it's a defo no though.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/07/2017 18:09

Bertie really sorry to hear about your FIL. Hope they've caught it in time to be treatable.

Ooh a live POAS! Hopeful for you!! 🤞🏼

BertieBotts · 21/07/2017 18:00

Thanks all for wishes xx

DH wants me to test Grin so will do one in a bit, trying to build up some wee first!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 21/07/2017 18:00

Hi guys. Thanks for the new thread. Will catch up later.

Feeling slightly less shit now AF isn't punching me in the back anymore (CD3 today) and my job interview went well but I basically turned it down as I know if I want a baby soon I can't do that job too AND see my DD and also stay sane (even if DH stays home). Feels a bit silly given I'm it even pregnant yet but if I take it I'd have to shelve the whole idea and I'm 31 so don't want to. This way my DD will be 18 when new baby is 5 if I manage to get pregnant soon. That seems like a better time to step up into a crazy work challenge, than now.

Also I'm going on holiday in 2.5 weeks time so will hopefully be super relaxed during TWW!

Hello all

Welcome newbies. So sorry you're here.

@BertieBotts I'm sorry to hear about FIL. Hope all goes well with him.

So I should be due AF yesterday if I was going to keep my cycle times post mc. So far nothing but cramps. Couldn't feel less pg so I guess she will appear in the next week or so maybe?

I really don't know how to feel about it all. I dont know if I'm ready to be pg again or if I want more time. I don't have any tests and don't plan on buying any as the only symptoms I have are a bad mood and the odd cramp. When I was pg I had sore boobs, had to pee every 10 seconds, was exhausted and had a strange taste in my mouth.

I know they say each one can present with different symptoms but I'm not convinced.

Good luck to those testing soon wether it's for a BFN or BFP!

BatmansPrettierSidekick · 21/07/2017 10:09

dudemeister76 writing a letter has helped me remember and extract the feelings I had about pregnancy and miscarriage, the wonder, excitement, the worry, loss and pain and what the future holds. I was off work and just sat and wrote through my tears. I may show it to my DH too one day. I'd recommend doing it.

Good luck and have fun trying foreverhopeful21 👍

Lisasimpson I'm usually 28 days bang on, but as my miscarriage was long and drawn out I can't figure out when AF is due! I really want to get on the bandwagon again as I'm all cried out now. I'll give it a couple of days and see if this is AF.....fingers crossed.

AnneLovesGilbert · 21/07/2017 10:04

Wow, this is filling up fast! Just posted on the old one! Thanks for new thread bertie. Going to catch up now.

dudemeister76 · 21/07/2017 09:55

Hi everyone,
Glad i caught the new thread......i just found you and don't want to lose you!!!
Batmans im so sorry for your loss xx Its interesting you should mention writing a letter. A lady i know from my gym had experienced miscarriage and suggested i wrote a letter to my baby and that it would be cathartic. I think its a lovely idea. Writing your feelings down always seems to help, but I'm putting it off at the moment as i know ill be in floods of tears.
Yellow I hope it all goes ok today. I dreaded going back too but found that it wasn't so bad. xx

I have purchased a thermomeybobby off Amazon!! resisted urge to add a moon cup to basket.
Also how do you add emoticons on here ?

ForeverHopeful21 · 21/07/2017 09:12

Hi, new to the thread! Sorry to all and your losses Flowers

Had MC in March at 12 weeks. Been TTC #1 for 3 years.
Had laparoscopy last month to remove ovarian cysts and now I'm back in the game!

Fertile week is next week, so I'm on the countdown. I've been popping the conception vitamins and I've got a hundred ovulation sticks at the ready. Trying to remain calm and positive Hmm

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/07/2017 08:21

I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL, bertie.

Good luck today yellow - I know you've been really anxious about it, but I hope it goes much more smoothly than you think.

Juniper, what were you reading? I've really noticed since my experiences started how rarely miscarriage comes up in literature, films or TV. I realised that you sometimes get depictions of infertility (not that often, but you do) but that I don't think I've ever, ever since miscarriage covered in a TV programme.

Batman I'm really sorry about your loss. How long are your cycles normally? My period came pretty much bang on normal time, but then I normally have long-ish (35 days) cycles. Three weeks seems quite quick, but maybe if you normally have very short cycles?

Flashinthepan · 21/07/2017 08:02

Sorry to hear about your FIL Bertie. Wishing him a full and fast recovery.

Cookie sorry to hear you're feeling low, particularly with your due date approaching. [Flowers] do you manage to have much sex outside fertile week? I know it's not always easy to drum up enthusiasm.

I'm feeling crappy, have come down with a lurgy since yesterday. Felt sick all day, plus sore throat blocked nose etc. I'm achy and gross so am having the day in bed to recover.

hotcookie · 21/07/2017 07:44

Congratulations to all the BFPs from the last thread-I hope it all goes smoothly for you.
I'm CD13, not ovulated yet I think, but lots of EWCM yesterday and today. Haven't managed to DTD since CD9, so hopefully will do tonight, but not holding out much hope. I think it's starting to get to DH, he feels its all a bit sterile and a lot of pressure, so keeps putting it off. Which makes me feel sad, and unattractive, which doesn't help. Due date tuesday... Sad

BertieBotts · 21/07/2017 07:20

We've had a mixture of news this week. Happy that DH's old boss and one of his closest friends here and his wife are expecting - on our last year's due date this year! - Actually I feel mixed about this, keep going back and forth. I like vicariously living through others but it would be fun to be pregnant at the same time too. I suppose there is still time, which is positive, but then on the other hand there is more pressure and disappointment if it doesn't happen by then!

And then the sad news which is probably clouding the other, FIL has throat cancer, DH's whole family are in a state of shock so he is being stoic for now, but he has said that he feels like he wants more urgency on the baby thing now because he so wants his dad to meet his child. Apparently throat cancer has quite good survival rates so we'll see but the tumour is already pressing on his voicebox.
