Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

@Stuckinstressville that is a VERY clear positive on both tests!! congratulations. That's awful about your doctor, if I were you I would ring up again and demand an emergency appointment.
@MsJuniper tentative congratulations from here too.. fingers crossed this line keeps getting darker. I can't help much a was a serial poas offender when trying to conceive last time and know it will be even worse this time!
@NoCatsHere thanks for the story about your friend. That really does give a lot of hope. I'm worried people will think I've forgotten my little girl or I'm just looking for a replacement baby which isn't the case at all!!! I've lost her due to an infection (probably GBS but could also be something I picked up from contaminated water in hospital but that's a whole other story and going through investigation with the trust at the minute) but if it was group b strep there is a chance it could happen again and it is also linked to late miscarriage and third trimester loss too, some people have told me they wouldn't even think of trying again with those risks because it would be selfish of me... but consultants have told me that the biggest risk is in labour and that I would be given antibiotics which should eliminate most risk. At the minute I'm mostly concerned about my csection being so recent but I've googled and googled and then googled some more and it seems there are lots of success stories after 5+ months after csection and most risks are during vbac which I wouldn't consider due to risks of GBS once waters break. Sorry for the rant - I'm just absolutely petrified lol and would hate people to think that I'm just trying for a replacement or being selfish.
I'm cd10 today too- another empty circle on my clear blue monitor. Think I will stick with opks this month and then think about temping next month to see if that makes a difference.

MsJuniper · 24/07/2017 14:17

Stuck that's awful about your doctor. I agree, make a fuss. If you can at least get a phone consultation then maybe the doctor will be more helpful?

Thanks for your positivity everyone, I am hopeful but had a faint line for my last three pregnancies which were just chemicals and strong lines for the three before that which also ended in mc. DS was a faint line though so there is always hope.

NoCatsHere · 24/07/2017 14:11

So I'm cycle day 10 today, and entering fertile week, or HT week I guess? I'm hoping for an obvious positive this month on the opk, not sure I can handle another shit vague cycle. Feel I've been very patient now, can't believe it's been 3 cycles since my mmc. The time just disappears in crossing off various sections of my cycle....

NoCatsHere · 24/07/2017 14:07

Ok, so fell off the radar for a bit but finally read back and have caught up!

Welcome everyone that is new, but sorry you are here.

bertie thank you for the new thread and excellent title choice. Sums us all up so well. turquoise you must take credit for the HT bit, it is a brilliant phrase and one I like to now use in RL too!

SJ88 I am truly sorry for your loss. That is just awful. You are more than welcome here, the girls are a lovely supportive bunch, Andy we all have such different experiences of loss. Just to add, a hopefully positive story, a good friend of mine also lost her girl at birth and went on to get pregnant 4 months later and had a little boy almost a year after her first loss. I never thought it was too soon when she said she was pregnant again, I've actually never been so bloody happy for someone. I can't think of anything more healing than to go on and have a child. Not a replacement, but just a child. Masses of luck for this cycle.

And stuck wow! What a line! I know it's not plain sailing but seriously happy for you. Go nuts at the gp that is insane they can't fit you in. Be a massive pain until they do, or turn up and make a bloody scene, or call epu, anything!!!!

msjuniper excited for you too, hope that line gets better over the next few days, so hopeful for you!

That's ridiculous stuck, what the hell?! Get back on the phone first thing tomorrow and cry, shout, scream. Make sure you are first for a cancellation or even just get an emergency appointment about "something else"? What did they say? That it won't matter? God I can't imagine how stressed you must be. How bloody incompetent!

Stuckinstressville · 24/07/2017 13:05

Msjuniper tentative congrats too. I always have had faint lines even with my son ( who is now 21months) so no advice other than to sit tight.

I have never had a line this dark so weirded out! I only dtd on cd 14 so erm messed up!called my gp for an appt as they normally test my Thyroid and adjust meds when I am pregnant but the receptionist said there are no spots for three weeks. Am beside myself as if they do not adjust my meds I could miscarry ... agh! He didn't care.

emvy · 24/07/2017 12:55

Sorry MsJuniper, you must have posted at the same time! Also tentative congrats regarding your faint bfp! I tore myself apart testing everyday after a faint with my last pregnancy and the only time I finally got a nice clear line was after I waited 3 days between. I'm now vowing to only test after I'm a week late because I can't cope with the stress again. Obviously, it's up to you! But I'd advise waiting a few days until you test again if you can tie your hands together and stop yourself!

emvy · 24/07/2017 12:52

Well that is definitely a second line stuck! I would be buying a couple more tests (I try not to over do it as otherwise it becomes even more stressful) and then calling your gp after seeing some bfp's on the other tests and asking them what they advise. I have no idea I'm sorry, whether you can have the thyroid tests or what you do regarding rmc. They might still want to see you anyway, I have no idea.. others might know?

Personally, i don't see how that test means anything other than a bfp but I'm not an expert as I restrain as much as possible from poas. In my opinion, your dates might not make sense but that's a definite positive and I would personally be treating it as such. So, tentative congratulations! I have everything crossed for you, please keep us all updated!

MsJuniper · 24/07/2017 12:49

Wow that is quite a line. It sounds as though you might have ovd early this cycle so if it's a true positive you are further along than you thought? Personally I am a poas addict so I'd be buying half of Boots to check. Definitely try and get some proper medical advice though.

Can't remember if you said you had other symptoms too?

I got the faintest whisper of a line this morning but that has happened so many times for me and not stayed, so I'll give it a week to see if it gets darker (well I say that, I'll probably tear every day!)

sj , am sorry for your loss, you sound like you are a wonderfully strong person and now considered physically good to go, the Drs would not mess about if it were otherwise. Only you and your Drs know when you are ready, and sounds like they think you are so, defacto, if you want to try, bloody hell do it, sorry, aggravates me when 'others' have such opinions on something so personal as TTC timing. Good luck!

Will have a good read of this thread, caught up on the others just now. I have never temped, referring to pee on random sticks for shits and giggles, developing a hatred of smiley faces. Smile flashing or not.

I have been lurking for a bit after a bad month of emotional ups and downs. Today was the due date of my Dec MCC baby, and DH bought me some lovely sunflowers to remember it and cheer me up a bit.

I only had the third loss in March then an awful RMC appt in June , next appt in a week for results of bloods and scans. However... the saga just got fruity. This is rather long winded, apologies.

I had terrible ovary pain overnight on CD25 last night, and 2, what I presumed were spotting pre AF, or a messed up cycle, 5 hour bleeds in the last week and spotting daily after a heavy heavy 10 day af. So thought, this month we are not really trying, only dtd the once due to the daily spotting. Did get a static smiley but kind of ignored it as was 6 days too early given my normal 34 day cycles.

Long story not so short.. .Today, 5 am I woke up and POAS and 9 DPO CD 25 of a 34 day normal cycle, I have the strongest second line on an IC. Thoughts? Is this is a dud test?

Do I buy every brand and every level more tests and pee on them? Do I still go to RMC next week?
Do I book a GP apt for my thyroid levels? I just don't know what to do.
The inertia is crippling. I am hiding in a meeting room at work pretending to work but sat staring at MN.

That in summary is a direct download of my brain today it seems. Sorry, very me me me.

Flashinthepan · 24/07/2017 09:51

Ladies not lasies! Not sure if that was supposed to be an auto correct to Lassies or lazies! Although I quite like the idea of going around calling everyone Lassie.

Flashinthepan · 24/07/2017 09:49

SJ88 I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. This is such a welcoming thread and a perfect place to get support going forward or to talk about your baby if you want to. Flowers

Lasies, I'm late. AF was due yesterday and didn't come. Breasts are still sore and no sign of af, apart from occasional niggly feelings. I think I'll test tomorrow with a frer. 14 dpo tomorrow. I'm so nervous and terrified it will be negative.

dudemeister76 · 23/07/2017 21:52

Lol @ step my fault!!

dudemeister76 · 23/07/2017 21:51

SJ download fertility friend. It's got loads of tutorials on there which are really helpful. X im going to do it side by side with clear blue to get a better picture of my cycle.

StepAwayFromGoogle · 23/07/2017 21:47

Have just realised that there's a good half page there on whether we temp vaginally or orally Grin Love this thread.

SJ88 · 23/07/2017 21:26

Thanks everyone for being so lovely.
I've never temped before - I've read a little about it online but it seems quite complicated and the results can be easily misinterpreted if you don't do it at the exact same time each morning etc?
I find the clear blue ovulation kit easy to use but they are so expensive Confused x

LisaSimpsonsbff · 23/07/2017 21:20

I temp vaginally (though I'm not sure I've ever revealed this to another person before!) - yep, I just skip when I have my period. It's not like you need the information from then anyway, you just need to be temping for a few days before you ovulate so you have a base line. I'm cd9 and going to start temping again tomorrow.

dudemeister76 · 23/07/2017 21:08

@blissful I'm on CD23 now so hoping it won't go past 6 weeks. I'm itching to get on with things!!! Not sure what happens if it takes longer??!!
Temping vaginally seems to be a better way for me because I sleep with my mouth open all the time so not convinced it would be consistent. Also the beep doesn't wake DH up lol.

Blissfulignorance · 23/07/2017 20:58

@SJ88 💐💐

@dudemeister76 I only temp orally, I haven't started again yet, was going to wait until after my 1st af. Which I am still waiting for. Definitely way past normal cycle length now. I hear you about pads though..... hate them.

The midwife at the epu said to wait 4-6 weeks for a bleed. I'm at 5 now, what happens when I pass 6 weeks? Will they just tell me to wait some more? Seems pointless if they do.

Starshine1 · 23/07/2017 20:45

Hi SJ, so sorry to hear about your loss. That must and I am sure, still is so tough. If now feels the right time for you guys to ttc, then that's all that matters, definitely not other people's opinions.

Dude- I haven't found it necessary of temp vaginally - seems to be quite consistant generally just with orally.

dudemeister76 · 23/07/2017 20:40

Oh SJ what a horrendous thing for you to go through. Massive hugs to you. I am pretty new on here and have found it such a support through such a lonely experience. Everyone is lovely!! Welcome xx

I've started temping to get the hang of it even though i haven't had my AF yet after miscarriage. Does anyone temp vaginally on here and if so do you just miss out when AF comes? Seems unnecessary. Also is it ok to use tampons now? If I never see another sanitary towel again in my life it will be too soon.

Lime19 · 23/07/2017 18:58

Welcome sj. I am so sorry you find yourself here. I was very sad to read your story.

I too have been on a hen party emvy! I'm not gonna lie, ive got a baaaaad hangover. I was actually quite good with drinking as in my fertile time BUT my tolerance of alcohol these days is low. I've managed the last 4 days of dtd, I'm gonna try a few more days but tonight, after 3 hours sleep will be hard Grin

emvy · 23/07/2017 18:53

SJ, welcome. I'm so sorry that you lost your little girl. You're in good hands here. I wish you the easiest, most boring of ttc, pregnancy and delivery journeys. I'm sorry I can't offer any advice on tracking as I only use my cm and other bodily symptoms to try to pinpoint ovulation. There are plenty of very knowledgable ladies on here though who I'm sure can give you the low down!

Bertie, really good idea about changing the name to "loss", maybe the next one? We seem to move through them pretty fast so I'm sure it won't be long before we're in need of another!

Cd10 here. Apparently entering my fw. Still having bizarre symptoms that don't make sense for this point in my cycle with waves of nausea and even some cramping today. Oh well. Onwards we tread. I've spent the weekend surrounded by wonderful friends for a hen do and am feeling very zen for the time being. I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend x
