Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Oooh boat! I'm so happy for you! Fingers crossed.

That's the annoying thing about ff; it tells you your due date 3 days after you've ovulated. and I didn't google another due date calculator to cross check, no not at all

BertieBotts · 01/08/2017 16:45

Yes I have a blog for parenting/ttc stuff but I try to keep it more in depth and we'll written rather than my personal rambling so there aren't very many posts and I don't update very often. Am on phone now but will send a link alter.

Well I had the scan - and saw a tiny little sac! I'm officially 5 weeks! I've got a small bleed apparently so have to be very careful (and no DTD until we're more 'in the clear'...). Was not expecting this at all. Need to go back in 2 weeks to check it's growing. So Smurf and MsJuniper sounds like I'm joining your 'trying-not-to-be-anxious-about-scans' group if that's okay.

I'm sure it's been mentioned in other threads already but I do wonder whether me taking lots of Agnus Castus in weeks post MC, since I MC due to low progesterone. Don't know if it helped and obviously I'm very far from being out of the woods yet, but maybe it helped with my fertility???

Lots of luck and fingers crossed for everyone trying. Lime can I just applaud your restraint in the face of your colleague's comment? I would have struggled not to a. lamp him and/or b. burst into tears.

Lime19 · 01/08/2017 16:25

NoCats, that is crazy and I would never do anything that crazy (she says as she shuts down the window with the NHS due date calculator, which is also saved in her favourites) Blush

NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 16:00

Oh god i just googled when my baby would be due based on if i was to get pregnant this cycle. its a slippery slope to crazy lady in the 2ww isn't it!!! Blush

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/08/2017 14:44

I got this one SJ www.amazon.co.uk/Basal-Body-Thermometer-BBT-113-iProv%C3%A8n/dp/B015WKODDM/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1501594832&sr=8-4&keywords=thermometer+bbt&tag=mumsnetforum-21 and it's dead simple to use. Small, nice little plastic case, quiet beeps, memory function, does 2 decimal places.

I was 100% sure I always ovulated CD10, from copious ewcm, bloating and ovary stabbing pain. 100%. And I was vindicated in my first month of temping, until I actually ovulated CD14! I had dotted crosshairs on FF on CD10 and then a solid one CD14. Massive shock. Temp continued to rise till the day af arrived.

Do you get CM cues throughout your cycle? I monitor that and cervix position as second nature these days. And last cycle ewcm and stabbing pains had continued but I'd always assumed they carried on after ov, not began days before.

SJ88 · 01/08/2017 12:36

Hi everyone.
Welcome to everyone who's just joined - I've found this group really helpful.
Sending hugs and good luck to everyone waiting for scans & bfps.
Cd18 for me and STILL flashing smiley on my clear blue (although I had a distaster and ran out of sticks on Sunday but assuming that was probably a flashy one as I've had two since) my cycles are around 29 days long so looks like I'm going to ovulate too late for conceiving this month. I think my cycles must still be regulating since giving birth - I've ovulated cd16 first month tracking when I wanted to make sure I was ovulating and then had my solid smiley on cd17 last month. When I tracked before getting pregnant with my little girl I ovulated around cd13 so clearly not back on track yet which is pretty crap! Also clear blue opks are costing me an absolute fortune. It was my 8th flashing smiley this morning and I honestly feel like chucking it out the window - who knew ttc could lead to such an irrational hatred of smiley faces. Having a look on amazon for thermometers, does anyone have any recommendations? X

NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 12:21

tiffin nice to see you again, but massive hugs for bloody af. I hope you have plenty of tea and cake ready. xx

NoCatsHere · 01/08/2017 12:20

boat i hope you get some answers today. good luck for your scan.

fia welcome and sorry to hear about your losses. Especially the last one at 16 weeks must have been very tough indeed.

grumpy yay for postive opk! i like seeing those almost as much as the bfp sticks!

Only 4dpo here and the wait is already killing me. i don't think my OH has any idea about how much brain space ttc actually takes up. I think about it all day long. I never get symptoms though so there's no point me poking boobs or anything yet...

Doublechocolatetiffin · 01/08/2017 12:03

Hi everyone, I've stayed away for a month as I was trying to stop thinking about it all so much and relax to see if that helped me get a bfp. Not this month it seems. Just got af. So sad about it all right now, I know you'll all understand. I'll have to try and catch up with what's been going on. I hope everyone is ok.

halloumisandwich · 01/08/2017 10:24

Sorry for the insensitive work colleagues lime. I'm working at home again today - one day in was enough for now, and allowing myself a little sob this morning as my hormones continue to play havoc!
I have thought about writing about it Jen but not quite built up the courage. I've just read through all yours, beautifully written and ring so true - the baby weight without the baby is gutting and the dates that come round or events to go to. Really hope it works out for you this time! Hopefully you'll get a good dose of vomiting in a week or so to put your mind at ease Grin

JenCFA · 01/08/2017 09:22

Does anyone else write or blog about all this stuff? I've just started ( uterusmonologues.com ) and would love to read anything anyone else is working on. bertie did you say you had a blog a while back, or have I imagined that? Sorry if this is really nosy!

JenCFA · 01/08/2017 09:09

Oh smurf that's really tough. I don't think there's anything anyone can say to reassure you. But keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, (and hope you don't have to go on your own - this whole thread will be with you in spirit!) Can you plan something nice to do after/ tomorrow night so you're not focusing entirely on the scan?

Lime19 · 01/08/2017 09:02

Someone at my work just said "surprised your still here, thought you would be knocking out more babies by now"

Mate I'm surprised I'm still here too and should be handing over work ready for maternity leave.

I just smiled and said, "not yet"

Good luck smurf! Let us know how you get on!

Welcome fia.

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 08:53

Ah smurf congratulations! I know it's tough. I do hope you get through today ok and good luck tomorrow.

Smurf123 · 01/08/2017 08:35

Juniper I think I like the idea of weekly scans.. Just to keep anxiety at bay.. Although I do find I get really nervous the day before a scan so maybe not :-/
Jen of everything is OK scan should show me at around 6weeks 5 days... It's tomorrow and I'm incredibly nervous.. With both my previous mc baby was shown to have stopped growing around the 6 and a half week mark. To top things off I've come down with a horrible cold this week which isn't helping. And my husband work say they might not be able to let him out of work as they vent find someone to cover.. But I just cannot go on my own...

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 08:06

Welcome Fia!

Ekphrasis · 01/08/2017 08:05

Hi hfh. Sorry for your loss. I had a mc at 8 weeks though it had stopped growing at 6. I know I ovulated exactly 2 weeks later and af arrived at 28 days (usually 26).

We didn't try as we decided to try ubiquinol and allow 2-3 months for it to take effect. I must say the 'enforced' break helped me hugely. I've since had a chemical or very early mc - that hit me more in a way but again deciding to wait a cycle helped me adjust emotionally. I'm 4 days into a 2ww and I'm more chilled than previously (at the moment). We are about to go away so that might be helping. It's hard to feel in control of when you want to get pregnant to a certain degree, but then have it cruelly taken away. I'm 40 so feeling time pressure. We do have a 4 year old ds, but the longer it takes the older we will all be.

Hi lyd, sorry for your loss. I do remember lots of cramps in early pregnancy back in feb. Fingers crossed for you.

boat very puzzling, I do hope it's good news!

juniper I'd 50% consider the scans and the other half of me would find it extra stressful. I do know a friend who had regular scans as her anxiety was high after a missed mc and she did feel it helpful. I remember symptoms coming and going with my pregnancy in feb. I'm sure with ds some symptoms didn't start till 6 weeks. Keeping fingers crossed.

Sorry if I've missed anyone - I keep lurking and not posting. Trying not to symptom spot. I don't know if we dtd at the right time this time. I felt it was a 'good' cycle though. Ov around cd 13/ 14 and lots of ewcm. Very strong opk for 12 hours. (No idea if helps! Probably didn't ov after all that!)

Thinking of buying a moon cup to temp date!

MsJuniper · 01/08/2017 07:06

Grumpy I think it can be anything from 12-36hrs after your surge (which might have started overnight so I would cover both if I were you (& once more for luck!)

Fia256 · 01/08/2017 06:26

Hi all wondering if I could join!

I've had 3 miscarriages in a row now, first at 7 weeks, 2nd at 5 weeks and the 3rd one two months ago at 16 weeks although that one felt every inch a still birth with the whole process before, during, and after!

Decided we would get straight back into ttc as that seems to be my way of coping with the one we've just lost. Second AF since showed up this morning so here we go again for another month, although technically only on my second cycle so can't really complain. Think I was naively thinking it could happen instantly and all would be ok again!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 01/08/2017 06:06

OPK strong positive this morning. Does that mean I count ov as today or tomorrow you think? We DTD yesterday morning and will do again this morning.

Hope everyone has a good day x

MsJuniper · 31/07/2017 23:28

Grumpy that's exciting! What are you doing online?! Get to it Wink

Jen I'm glad it's not just me although obviously wish neither of us were in this position and could both be worry free.

I would go for the weekly scans but I'm slightly worried in case there's any implications having that many, especially the early tv ones.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/07/2017 22:47

@Stuckinstressville 😂 humpy indeed!
How are you holding up? Did you get your haircut?

Stuckinstressville · 31/07/2017 22:44

Juniper would you feel happier scanning weekly? I know I would as my 2 mmc were agony just with that false hope... but would you feel it was too much?

Sorry to the new members - this group pulled me from dark places so CakeBrew

Stuckinstressville · 31/07/2017 22:39

Wooopppppp getting dtd grumpy or should we say humpy?!
