Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

MsJuniper · 02/08/2017 13:14

Wow that's exciting Lime! That is a decent line especially for so early on. I know it will throw up a whole load of excited and terrified emotions. Hope this is it for you.

Lime19 · 02/08/2017 13:10

Thanks all. I'm day 22. I thought I didn't ovulate this cycle due to scan on day 14ish.

I tested a) because I'm a hopeful twat and went slightly mad this tww. B) I got sore boobs c) I had some tests left

I've had one period since my erpc in may. It was pretty heavy.

I did have ewcm this cycle but my obsessive googling revealed it can happen on anovulatory cycles too.

voxnihili · 02/08/2017 13:02

Lime - hope it all works out for you.

AF started today - I was a little relieved as we hadn't taken precautions this month and had agreed that we wouldn't try before our holiday as I didn't want to spend the whole holiday waiting to mc again. Kind of feel like I'm out of that limbo phase now and can start to move on. My FW falls right in the middle of our holiday but I'm trying not to get too excited as it did last year as well. That said, we tried like mad the first week and not so much the second and I've since learned I ovulate much later than expected.

Oh my god lime I totally see the line, faint but it's there!! What made you test and talk me through this cycle again. I can't remember where you're at! You must have missed ov somehow

SJ88 · 02/08/2017 12:55

@Lime19 that is definitely a line.. not even a squinty one!!
Ovulating early would explain the missed ovulation and early result! Did you get bfn after May pregnancy? Although that would be a very long time to still have hcg in system I think.
If I were you I would be on my way to boots to stock up one some more tests to see if the line gets darker over the next couple of days :)
Xx

Lime19 · 02/08/2017 12:51

Well the lady that did my scan said it looked like I had not ovulated. I guess they can tell.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 02/08/2017 12:44

Tentative congrats, lime! Do you think you maybe ovulated early and that's why you missed it? It would also explain the early result!

Lime19 · 02/08/2017 12:36

Shiiiit! If this is it I'm freaking out! All the nemories are flooding back. Trying not to be too hopeful. I know anything can happen.

I feel all funny now. nit how I expected. I'm extremely anxious

BertieBotts · 02/08/2017 12:32

Ooh no it's too squinty to be last month (but I can see it!)

I don't think you'd still have hCG from May. Missed ovulation is my vote then Grin

BertieBotts · 02/08/2017 12:32

Ooh Lime! Sounds good! :) Is it possible you just missed ovulation? Or were pregnant last month and your last period wasn't a period hence no ovulation??

Look!

TTC After MC 12: Hopeful Twats and Emotional Wrecks welcome!
Lime19 · 02/08/2017 12:30

Help me! Could it be old hormone from my twin pregnancy that ended in may? But I didn't ovulate this month...

Oh my god I'm freaking out. It's day 22 of my cycle, the line is stronger than my twin line that happened also on day 22

Lime19 · 02/08/2017 12:28

Oh my god I got a line on a frer!

MsJuniper · 02/08/2017 10:47

Starshine that is completely understandable. I think there can be a perception from outside that you can "just keep trying" but it's not that simple, there is so much emotional turmoil to deal with on top of everything else and you have to look after yourself and enjoy what you have. I'm sorry, it is so unfair that you have this low reserve at such a young age.

I used to go for the "don't mention the cycle" method but in recent times we've been more scientific joyless about it. DH takes some medication as he has occasional ED so it is easier if he knows exactly what is needed! Even so we had a few "incompletes" Blush which were very stressful and I had a false early surge on CD13 which disappeared, my peak wasn't until CD25. Funnily enough I think the "successful occasion" must have been when we went away for a night and he didn't have his medication as he thought we were in a family room but DS had a little room of his own so we gave it a go anyway!

I feel a bit bad talking about DH as it is obviously something he finds upsetting but you are all so open and honest so if anyone else has the same issue you are not alone.

Great news about the dark choc by the way! 🍫

LisaSimpsonsbff · 02/08/2017 10:38

Been away for a few days, and sorry to see some bad news on this thread - Flowers for sunshine, mulder and cookie. How are you feeling msjuniper and stuck? Have been thinking of you both.

Just got an appointment to go to the Coventry clinic for the NK cells testing on Monday. Has anybody else done that? A bit nervous because it's a uterine sample not a blood test, and I wonder if it hurts. I hate having smears, and having a coil fitted was the worst pain I've ever felt, so not a fan of fiddling about with my cervix! Glad to be getting the test, though - was worried that they wouldn't be able to fit me in this month, and it feels one step closer to being able to try again.

hotcookie · 02/08/2017 10:31

Yeah, we have had a few lovely weekends away since the MC (and a proper holiday) but it always the "wrong" time (and twice have been ruined by period showing up 4-5 days early!)
We didn't have the most active sex life before TTC, and DH says he's too old to do it all the time (!), so we have been sticking to around fertile window time, but I never say "oh I think I'm ovulating" as that is way too much pressure-I'm never 100% sure anyway until my temps rise, although I do get EWCM my days vary a bit, as does ovulation...

Ekphrasis · 02/08/2017 09:14

I'm sorry cookie. I second a weekend mini break if you can. We went away last minute after my April mc with friends and I did me the absolute world of good.

Ekphrasis · 02/08/2017 09:12

Flowers lime, I was thinking the same. I only got to 8 weeks but what was cruel is that I had to see the gp a few times and got my booking appt a bit early as they wanted to get me into the system asap (bad pregnancy last time plus hypothyroid and I bet they look at me and think 'ANXIOUS!' In neon flashing lights.) also - I felt so unwell. That's horribly cruel to go through it all and then loose the baby.

So, crazed conception google #143: 'is dark chocolate bad for conception' (as I am addicted to 70% choc - only a few squares a day but I neeeeeed it) and I got:

"Chocolate contains high levels of resveratrol which is very good for egg quality so a little chocolate daily is fine its best to stick with the dark chocolate because it contains more cocoa than other chocolates.

On to another ingredient in dark chocolate that may help you conceive: arginine. Arginine is a building block of nitric oxide, which increases blood flow to the uterus and ovaries."

(Only spoilt by going on to list Hershey's caffeine content list. Pah!)

We are going to the US in Thursday, extra bar of green and blacks going in...

TheGrumpySquirrel · 02/08/2017 09:05

Sorry to hear that cookie Brewa baby making holiday / minibreak? Also not mentioning it when it's peak time.. I was worried I wasn't going to get any - ahem - delivery at all as I made the mistake of telling him it's ov time!
Managed successfully this morning - phew. OPK still had strong 2nd line (that's over 36 hours of surge now!). So I think ov must be imminent.

hotcookie · 02/08/2017 07:44

Well, I'm 11DPO, CD 25 and started spotting this morning, been having cramps & back ache for 5 days too... Not really surprised, we didn't have sex much last month-just cd 8 and 14 (morning of-day I ovulated). Any ideas for taking the pressure off? I'm not sure what we can do to fix that-DH doesn't seem to fancy it much...Trying to be spontaneous but it's bloody difficult with my work hours, I'm exhausted when I get home, and he gets up at stupid o'clock before I can wake up and we have morning sex!

On the positive-spotting didn't start until 11dpo, where it has been 8-10 days in previous cycles...

Starshine1 · 02/08/2017 07:00

Thanks for the support ladies. Juniper I had it done through medichecks. It was 1.9, have since had my follicles checked with a scan and they're also low, which confirms the result. We are lucky to already have DS and I don't think I can cope with IVF not working and when to then stop. So really trying to appreciate what we have and we are very lucky to have DS- think this has been the problem for the last two years, I was only 34 then and no reason for low ovarian reserve so it feels hugely unfair, but I am thankful, we could have even struggled with DS!

MsJuniper · 01/08/2017 23:14

Wow a busy thread today. Starshine and Mulder I'm sorry to hear your news.

Where did you get tested starshine? DH and I had the couples' MOT at Create as I knew the RMC testing wouldn't cover AMH etc. I was never sure what the result meant though as they just said it was "good for my age" something like 6 out of 21 which didn't sound that great. If the result had been very low we were considering taking out a loan to pay for their low-dose IVF but as it wasn't that bad we decided to carry on with the RMC first. I know you must feel pretty despondent at the moment but have you considered that?

Mulder I am also with St Mary's. Who is your consultant? I think I may also have the welcome womb thing as I have had so many cps and early mc. I hope they will do the progesterone test. Let us know how you get on.

StepAwayFromGoogle · 01/08/2017 21:28

Christ, lots happened while I was procrastinating writing that last post.

Mulder and Starshine, I'm so sorry to hear both of your news. Sending hugs and hand holds to you both.

I'm not sure if it helps any, Starshine, but a friend of mine had diminished ovarian reserve and still went on to have a baby. It's not a done deal. Go easy on yourself x
