Come one, come all, new and old, no-one wants to be here, but at least we're glad we've got each other :) Flowers

Hope your stay here is short.

Now, some BFPs if you please and BFNs for those who are waiting for them too!

Hi Ladies,

I haven't posted in a while - some of you may remember I found out I was pregnant in may and have been following silently still and even now at 14 weeks I'm not quite ready to leave, luckily after 3 losses all is going well with this pregnancy so please have hope. I only know how hard that is trust me but it will happen.

@annelovesgilbert - you mentioned someone having the endometrial scratch. It was me (well I might have) I was part of the trial at Tommy's and either had it or didn't (I won't find out intol next year) but seeing as this is the only pregnancy out of 4 that's made it to the 12 week mark I am going to believe I have. Smile

It might be worth mentioning what I did the month I conceived as I know it's so hard every cycle when AF arrives.

I brought fertility crystals and had them on my bedside table next to a photo of myself and my husband and we wrote a girls name and boys name on a piece of paper and left that under the stones (our baby names)

Used digital ovulation sticks and did the deed on the day off and day after smiley face.

Took vegan prenatals which contain folate instead of synthetic folic acid.

Can't think of anything else but I wish you all the baby dust in the world Ladies and never give up. Xx

Was that at Coventry, msjuniper? Or St Mary's? I'm going for my first appointment at Coventry on Monday.

MsJuniper · 04/08/2017 15:01

Step, it was me who had the scratch. It's supposed to improve chances by 25% and I have got pg next cycle.

I had it as part of a research programme through the RMC. It was like a quite uncomfortable smear but I closed my eyes and pretended to be on the beach. Over quite quickly.

Bertie, missed your post - kinda funny(?) but also awful! Your poor OH! Bless him. That'll teach him for trying to be creative! 😉

Lime, I'm still angry at your bloody gp! It's making me furious that someone can just play with people's emotions like that in such a throw-away way! I don't blame you for feeling anxious. Lots of Netflix as a way to chill and distract?

Lime19 · 04/08/2017 14:02

Thanks for everybody's well wishes. I'm obviously testing every hour just to make sure Wink I'm not leaving the group til I know more. It doesn't feel real yet. I tried for nine months and it resulted in a mc. I can't believe we have only dtd 7 times and now I'm pregnant again. It's crazy! It's early days and I'm really scared. I'm on constant knicker watch. Analysing every twinge.

I'm still angry at the gp. She never even let me look at the test she did but I guarantee there would have been a line on it. The more I think about it the more odd I think it was.

She said "I don't want to ruin your dreams but that's a negative"

"There is no line on this test it's blank" as she threw it in the bin.

"stop worrying about your progesterone levels, that wouldn't be an issue at 33 years old"

I'm a better doctor than her!

emvy · 04/08/2017 14:01

HFH I had exactly the same experience with my last pregnancy - you get that feeling don't you, that you just "know". It did show up eventually! I honestly think intuition for being pregnant really exists as I've had it both times and also lost that sure feeling I had as soon as the babies stopped growing in my mmc and a few days leading up to my second, natural mc. I would just leave it a week and test again. I have everything crossed it will be a bfp next time!

In terms of the blow out - do it! A one off won't harm a baby this early on anyway, even if you are. As Anne said, nurture yourself - it's so important.

Fox, maybe someone meant to write ov for ovulation but it either changed it to ob or they just pressed they b instead of the v with them being next to each other?!

BertieBotts · 04/08/2017 13:57

Oh and Anne, yes, more funny stories though, the doctor told him not to ejaculate for 5 days before the test. Apparently as he's been bored most days stuck at home, he's been, er, practising shall we say. But during the 5 days he decided in his infinite wisdom that it would be fun to practice on me as log as he didn't actually finish himself. Lovely etc but after about three days of this, he gave himself blue balls. Apparently it's a real thing and really painful. I even phoned up to see if he could give the sample early because apparently that's the only way to relieve it but they were closed so he just had to rest and sit in a cold bath instead.

Oh dear. Well, anyway, it's done now, should get the results early next week I reckon.

x post with Lime Smile

How are you today? Is it sinking in yet?

I was mooching round the shops at lunch and nearly cried with broody longing at some teeny tiny baby trainers. I want to stamp my feet and while "where's my baby????!!!!!!"

Please send me some of your pregnancy energy Grin Sending you a hug in exchange.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/08/2017 13:53

Op as in operation maybe Fox? If they had surgical management of a MC. Or, is it definitely OP and not DPO? As in days post/past ovulation? That's very TTC specific and used a lot here.

I agree HFH, you've had a big blow and you should do the things that make you feel better. I know exactly what you mean, I poas in March and just knew it was positive. Until..... it wasn't. I was so shocked I didn't even cry. Every single symptom I'd had the cycle before when I was pregnant but lost it at 5 weeks. It's beyond gutting.

I'd let loose tonight, no reason not to, which is crap in itself as I'd happily give up all my vices to be pregnant again! Get posted up if that makes you feel good, enjoy seeing your friend, eat and drink anything you fancy. Or put your PJs on, tell her you're having one of those days and het a massive takeaway. Whatever floats your boat but do stuff to nurture yourself.

Lime19 · 04/08/2017 13:53

Fox is it dpo? Days post ovulation?

Massive congratulations to Lime on all your lines and +ve CBD. I agree with everyone else - those with BFPs please stick around. Gives the rest of us much needed hope!

Feeling very confused today. For the last two days I have been properly feeling pregnant, ie get the symptoms I only had after my last BFP. For me this is a really heavy feeling in my abdomen and my belly feeling really warm. I can't remember who was worrying about whether the heavy abdomen was a MC sign but with my last/first pregnancy I got the heavy feeling from 4 weeks and it stayed right until I MC'd at 7. The reason I felt like I had MC'd was that the heavy feeling had disappeared.

So I was pretty convinced that when I POAS this morning I would get a lovely strong positive. But no dice - negative on both a FRER and a CBD. I'm currently 35 days from my MC and whilst I know that its perfectly normal for AF to not have arrived by now I had properly convinced myself.

So now trying to work out if I stick to the non-alcoholic beer with my bestie tonight when I could really fancy a blow out evening...

Awesome Bertie, I'll have a read this afternoon Smile

Someone on here definitely had the scratch Step, wish I could remember who but sure she'll be along.

Does anyone test for progesterone levels? I had the full whack of tests through the RMC and there's nothing wrong with me either. Good news, obviously, but then no reason given for the losses.

They've offered me progesterone suppositories from BFP to 12 weeks, which he said would mean if the pregnancy failed I wouldn't bleed it out and we'd only know from a scan. Hmmmm. I know that some of the other MC specialists don't treat with progesterone at all as they're not convinced it helps.

I'm in a throw everything plus the kitchen sink at my next pregnancy, should it ever happen! I don't get on well with progesterone, I once had a pill that was too high in it and felt near suicidal, but I want a bloody baby and I'm willing to try anything.....

Hope you're okay.

AnneLovesGilbert · 04/08/2017 09:53

Sorry you had a bad night Boat but glad all is well this morning x

StepAwayFromGoogle · 04/08/2017 09:44

I agree too! Please stick around and keep letting us know how you are all getting on. I am deliriously happy when I see a BFP on this thread, as opposed to in real life when it makes me feel like I've been run over.

Ineed, I have all those worries and I'm not even pregnant. I worry about what my worries will be if and when I am. I know it's nuts. And I've got plenty of nuts to keep me going as it is.

Given that my blood tests have ruled out most of the common causes of miscarriage, I'm now on, 'not enough progesterone' or issues with my womb lining. It's exhausting but it makes me feel better to think that I have tried to do what I can. Which brings me on to... has anyone had an endometrial scratch? I'm considering having one done privately. Veering between that and just saying 'sod it - what will be, will be'.

INeedABiggerBoat · 04/08/2017 08:30

-Shyly offers hand of solidarity to MsJuniper-

And thanks for all your kind words Emvy, Smurf, Stuck, Hula, MsJuniper. Had very broken sleep last night because the mild cramps I'd had all evening just... faded. Convinced I was going to see blood this morning but nothing yet.

I'm so glad I joined this thread and agree with everyone else Stuck - having someone further along is so reassuring.

NoCats - fingers crossed for BFP when you decide to test again.

NoCatsHere · 04/08/2017 07:07

Cd21 and 7dpo and absolutely a bfn this morning on an ic. Hoping it's just waayyyy too early. Will wait and see if af arrives next week now.

PossibiliTea · 04/08/2017 00:29

Also agree Smile other people's pg announcements make me go dizzy and weird but genuinely feel hopeful when I hear them on here! Been lurking for a bit because I was waiting for AF to decide whether to have the hysteroscopy next week. It came so I'm booked in, not sure how I feel really.

Hope you are all doing ok

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/08/2017 22:59

I agree on all counts, stuck and smurf and juniper, you're all such wonderful company and it's only heartwarming and hope giving to hear how you're getting on. Bring on the BFPs Smile

I've had a top to toe pamper which always cheers me up! Got a super swanky party to go to Saturday and starting my overhaul tonight. Must dry my hair and head to bed!
