Harriet- I had a big red bleed with DS right around when AF would have been due and was certain it was all over. Also had plenty more bleeds between 6 and 7.5 weeks which I would have thought it impossible to have a healthy baby afterward- but I did! I know it's very difficult, but remember that bleeding/spotting can be normal. Prolonged bleeding and cramping simultaneously (more like having AF) is what's more abnormal. Stay strong. If it's stopped then maybe carry on as planned? It can take a few days to see if hcg is doubling after all.

Congrats to TryingNo1! It sounds like you've been through it, it's so lovely that you're almost there!
Do you have APS and Nk cells too? I'm on Fragmin, Aspirin, pred, Cyclogest for both of those conditions. I actually want to talk to obs about the possibility of a planned C- section as I feel it would cut out further risks but really need to research!
I think they just get you to stop Clexane 12h before surgery and then start again after? I bet you can't wait to meet your little miracle!

Thanks Sunny, I've remembered Mr S saying I have the Nucal in place of 12 week scan so it only costs me £50 more than my standard 12 week scan and consultation would be... ugh lol, I wish I could skip something to save money for a newer car but realistically, I'm just going to go for it 🙄

Seeking, the midwife thing is so stupid. I went to local gp at 7 weeks and they said they couldn't get me in until 11 weeks, I was like whaaaat?! I made my feelings clear and they told me to contact another local surgery they had connections with and I was in within days. They can make you feel so insignificant, until you give em the stink eye!

Harriet, I had spotting at around 6 weeks. TMI Warning! ⚠️ It was brown and quite solid/stringy and it was totally fine. Mr S looked for bleed site and there was nothing there. How strong is cramping? Period strength? I've had aches and pains and cramps all the way, everything is stretching. I was awake most of last night cramping due to constipation! 😵 All these things are going to freak us out. I think you should call clinic and ask about intralipids. Am sure they will tell you to go ahead and give some advice too 😊

Thanks ladies....one milestone done.... 9 weeks is only 2 weeks away. That's the next one for me. Lost mc #4 at 8+6 so once I'm past there I'll feel a little better.

Trying, so lovely to see you back here. You know just how happy I am that you finally have your little miracle on board, even now I well up and I've know a while!! You deserve it soooooo much! I admire the strength it took you to keep going, it's been a long and tough journey. I'm not sure many people could have kept at it they way you and DH did!

Tried booking my first midwife appointment yesterday - utterly useless!! I'm 7 weeks and they only have 3 appointments over the next two weeks!! Which with work and DrS appointments I can't make. When I question how ridiculous that was I was met with 'well most people would have booked it by now'!! Well the red mist descended!! Naturally a spouted off how having recurrent miscarriages doesn't really fill you with hope to book your appointment the moment you find out! Midwife is going to phone me today

Just hope all goes well. Still a long way to go....but everything crossed tightly and praying hard!

Ahhh it's going to be such a beautiful moment for you both! Mummy, daddy, and baby will be crying (happy tears) I'm sure :-)

Haha yes understandably about the sex ban. I had a bleed at 28 weeks and rushed in to get monitored- turned out to have been because we'd DTD the night before. So it went off the menu then as well! Not worth the stress if there's a bleed.

Do you know the gender?

I'm still being sick but I def think I deal with it better (still moan!) but I remind myself of where I was last year and it makes me feel grateful even when head is in the toilet! :)
Sup having mc and also having had ivf increases ur risk of this silly Placenta. as long as baby stays happy it's fine! Dh is now in a sex ban - lucky him! I didn't let him near me for first 14 weeks anyways and now hes back on it!

Ah yes I did say out loud 'why?!' when I read that as you really earned a straight-forward pregnancy! That said oh my goodness... You are going to love being a mum so much!! The depth of gratitude you experience after this journey makes the hard bits so much easier. I just know you're about to feel the greatest joy you've ever known when you hold your little one. Gives me all the feels! Xx

Yep getting regular scans and was already under a consultant as ivf pregnancy and it's my hospital protocol. Just would have been nice to not have another worry but I'm used to it now!

Keep things crossed for u, totally understand re ur thoughts to not have immunes. I hope it's another sticky bean for u :)

Oh my goodness Trying I am so happy for you it's got me ready eyed! If anyone deserves to be parents it's you both and it feels so right to have heard this news. Bless that belly!

My SIL had the same placental issue and towards the end they said they weren't sure if it had moved or not so she could give natural labor a go. She decided it was unlikely and went for the c-section (after a bit of spotting at 38 weeks)... Thank god she did! Her wife (a midwife) said it was the worst placenta she'd ever seen. The c-section did the trick and they've had a happy healthy baby girl for the last 10 months :-) As long as you monitor the situation (which I know you wil) I'm sure it'll go just as smoothly! Eeek so excited for you!

Only 4 weeks today so by my standards I don't even count it as pregnant :-( lol! Scan booked for 5+4 (hopefully) to see what's going on. I'm pretty calm to be honest... I'm so grateful for DS a second DC would seem particularly miraculous!

No I ended up with mr gorgy at fga and doing ivf at my local clinic
6mc and 3 fresh and 1 frozen cycle...
Just want baby here safely please now!

I strongly think pgs was what clinched it for me but I did throw in pred clexane asprin ivig hydroxy gcsf and intralipids in for good measure
Just on clexane now. Baby seems fine but placenta is totally covering my cervix :/ so got to take it easy and I'll be having a csection. Still a chance it may move but unlikely now I'm nearly 28 weeks. I'm totally fine with a section but hope I don't have a massive bleed.
Congrats on ur bfp, I hope ur keeping it together as u can. When r u going to have ur first scan?

With both my pregnancies, I have never had my 12 weeks scan with dr s, just the nhs one. I haven't had the harmony test either just the basic nhs ones. My understanding is that the 12 weeks scan isn't with dr s bt one of his colleagues but I may be wrong, as the programme has changed slightly from my first pregnancy.

With both pregnancies, I haven't had my booking in at with midwife until 10 weeks due to previous mc, however my midwife was very understanding and luckily i still got in to my local hospital for the 12 weeks scan within 2-3 weeks.

JustLa I didn't realise I could Not have the DrS one and instead have NHS... I think I would prob go NHS for nuchal and then Harmony with DrS... but might change mind once I'm at that point and have a scan with everybody lol!.

With my DS I just had the 12-week NHS... nothing else! Oh to be young and innocent!

Harriet, 6 weeks is around that time when heart starts beating so don't be alarmed if you can't see anything, I guess this goes without saying now after Seekings first hand experience!

Poppy you're right, our rights to be carefree and innocent during preg are gone but I really believe we will enjoy the fruits of our labour so much more for our struggles! Fingers crossed you're baking a good egg 🍳
