Hi all, thought I'd get the ball rolling on the new thread.

Welcome all with immune/natural killer cell issues.

It's been a while since a new thread so thought it might be helpful if we all added our stats:

I'm harriet, age 30, TTC#1.
3 mcs (2 at 5 weeks, 1 mmc at 9 weeks).
Hypothyroid and high NK cells.
Cycle 2 on pred!

Drttc, that's so great!!!! And 2 days bigger, you're feeding that bean well ❤️ The shitty feelings should hopefully start to ease up within the next couple of weeks I think, you're doing so well.

Soph and take4, I was doing 4-5 hiit sessions a week last year. Was so strong, until my 3rd preg and mc. Then I started trying again and when I fell pg I didn't even dare use my tummy muscles to sit up!!! Gawd knows if I'll be able to push a baby out. But it's all worth it as I'm doing well it seems :)) I go for lots of walks now so that's something you can do if you feel delicate.

Welcome Soph btw 😊 (welcome back? Feel like you've said hi before in here but I've lost the plot a bit lol) Yes Harriet did super ovulation with Mr S and it worked a dream as she's now a pg pred princess!
I've had loads of ~mystic signs~ from the universe too! Bad ones when things went bad, and what seem to be good ones now. Maybe you can tilt your head and adjust how you intemperate them? Perhaps it was telling you it's going to happen soon and everything is starting to align?

Welcome in Choochoo, sorry to hear what you've been through 💕 We understand each other's experiences in here and thankfully manage to maintain a sense of humour.
You can see some of our history on the first page of this thread if you're interested. Glad you found Mr S and us, these great women have stacks of knowledge and experience to share 😊

Luna, I too went too hard in my 20's... hope that's not to blame! 💥

Take4- Love GOT, enjoy!

Xxx

Fantastic news drttc! I'm so pleased all is going well!! And all without the drugs!! Amazing!! Sorry you're still feeling rotten, hopefully it'll pass soon.

Girls.. I know it's hard when you're ttc and so desperate for that rainbow but it took me 6 cycles, try not to let it worry you that you're onto cycle 2+. DrS wasn't in the slightest bit worried when I went in after 6 months, but we did discuss SO. Luckily that cycle was the winner!

Hopefully all those sperm supplements will have your boys swimming like Michael Phelps!!

Olympic medal (baby) here we come!!
My DH had lower end of normal motility and we've been ok.
I definitely recommend co q10, the ubiquinol version! I also read it starts with the egg Soph, it's fascinating!

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 22:36

Welcome Choochooo. I'm a newbie too :). So sorry to read of your losses- I really hope you can get some answers.

Totally get where you are coming from re feeling isolated. I've pretty much stopped talking to the majority of my friends about any of it and I just keep things private as they just don't get it. I'm on the period tracker app forums too and I've found those really helpful too- lots of the ladies on there have been through so much (not necessarily nk cell issues so this group seems perfect for Mr S patients). I find I'm enjoying my online friends far more than my in the flesh ones! Xx

choochooo · 02/09/2017 22:29

Hi can I join please? I'm booked in to the clinic end if September to start investigating. 3 mcs in the past 6 months.

Feeling pretty isolated as most people don't seem to know what to say to me, or they are pregnant and I'm hiding.

Would love to join if possible as I'm not sure who to talk to anymore.

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:58

🦁 🌝 💖 It'll be worth it babes

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:46

Still got to put up with these hairy double chins for that end goal 😘

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:45

My friend posted this... and it genuinely sums up my current life!

Thank you Dr Soph the Sperm Specialist 💓

Yes he does that, but not to make twins - I'm not fully familiar, a couple of the girls have done it (*Harriet, you did it I thought!?)

Take4 · 02/09/2017 21:42

Hi
My partner is a taking the Fertilsan as above but not the Proxeed and is booked to see the specialist under Dr S recommendation - a worry and more £££!! We are older so not surprising we're hitting some hurdles but with time against us we just need to crack on with it all! Very annoying though.......

SophS88 I too was massively into fitness and training and for the last year have done virtually nothing apart from eat, glad to hear I'm not alone. Watching my body change has been hard but I've just been too scared to overdo it or put my body under any undue pressure, hasn't felt right.

Anyway enough of my drivel, back to Game of Thrones......

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:40

I've just googles super ovulation. Does he offer that? Does it lead to more twins xx

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:37

He had to take both. On one of the websites for them it's supposed to do a lot for sperm health- and the success rate regenerating good sperm on it was huge x (I can't remember which one of the two that was about though).

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:33

Soph, these seems fairly similar multi vits, but I'm assuming because of the issue Dr S told your OH to take both, or to pick one?

I want super Ov too... might pull out the Age Card at my appointment 😝

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:33

What's super ovulation? Oh think it's just a steroid check... too see how your body has been reacting to the steroids or something if your not pregnant after the first two. That's what Nadia midwife lady emailed when I just tried to get more tablets without a visit 😂

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:32

Yeah those two. He's also still on his wellman conception tablets that he's been on since January. After lots of research I've done he's also on a high quality coq10. I mentioned his to mr S who dismissed it (as he did with 99% of the advice we'd been given from every other medical professional). But then I read the coq10 is on one of these supplements he recommendeds.

I also read lots about coq10 in a book called it starts with the egg... that's an interesting read I found. Part of me has just been trying to follow mr s's advice to the full in order to know I've given it everything which I have been doing apart from these two additional ones.

How many cycles have you ladies been on the pred/seeing mr s etc? X

Tee4me · 02/09/2017 21:31

Thanks for this!! Will get researching 🤓
I'm booked in on 25th September for if my 2nd cycle fails. Didn't know about a steroid test though? Assume we'd just review how things are going. I want to talk to him about super ovulation!! x

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:23

I shall google the living shit out of this now #saturdaynightsorted

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:22

So this is two different supplements he's on?

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:20

After the test Mr s said depending on the serverity would depend on the does required and whether we had to wait 3 months to try or not. But we got the go ahead and he never mentioned a specific dose so we just follow the packet instructions. I probably should have asked him but think I was over the questions on that visit!

Great thanks for the photo!

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:19

God my DH is 41 and we were both monsterous party animals in our 20s... and his 30s - dare I even test his sperm 😱...

I've not been for the check up (yet), booked in for 5 Oct in case 2nd cycle bombs too

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:17

Hope this works x

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:15

Speem 🙄🙄🤣

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:15

This is my second cycle... I'm booked in on 13th if this one is a negative for a steroid check... anyone else had one of these? X

SophS88 · 02/09/2017 21:14

Ps. My husband is 33 and fairly fit and active. Diet is good... not much drinking (I tend to give him the death stare if a beer appears these days) so I was shocked too. I did research the sperm comet test and apparently the lady who tests them in Ireland I believe is the leading dr in her field. When I googled it most of the top clinics (zita west, lister etc) all suggested that test above all others (maybe they're just on a high commission!)

LunaB · 02/09/2017 21:13

I feel you soph, I was SO sure I was going to be successful this month - I'm still testing all the time like a weirdo... ffs!!! Remind me how many cycles you've done now Hairy Mary 💓? (I'm more like Mental Mary... Pred has bulldozed my moods)

Yes I'd like to know what to get DH on to spice up his speem too!
