Hi all, thought I'd get the ball rolling on the new thread.

Welcome all with immune/natural killer cell issues.

It's been a while since a new thread so thought it might be helpful if we all added our stats:

I'm harriet, age 30, TTC#1.
3 mcs (2 at 5 weeks, 1 mmc at 9 weeks).
Hypothyroid and high NK cells.
Cycle 2 on pred!

I've tried to make a document on phone with everyone's basic info!! Lol
Yes I've got an 11 week nuchal with Mr S, think he will look at baby for defects and take bloods to check.
I'm scared as always as have felt lots stronger with not many growing pains this week. Getting used to the fact that I think it's bad news every time but too scared to expect good news xx

JustLa · 14/08/2017 18:34

And Harriet I know that you already know this but may help to be reminded, you probably won't see a HB, but hopefully will see plenty of other reassuring signs.
A HB would be such a fab plus tho 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Rooting for you both xx

LunaB · 14/08/2017 18:34

You scanning too Just? I need to get this stuff down in my diary lol!

JustLa · 14/08/2017 18:31

Oh gosh Harriet and Seeking, I'm so sorry you are all going through scary times. Luna, you nailed it. We are all so invested in what's happening with our girls in this group, I'm really feeling for you.
Remember you're on all the correct meds so really should have as good if not better chance than normal preggies now.
Poppy and Drttcs points were good too, even a big bleed can be fine. And I had lots of period cramping in early stages Harriet.
Glad you both have scans tomorrow, it's a 3 way scan day then. Big day for our group xxx

Drttc, glad the sickness has stopped! Hope you're able to get more water, sugar, salt etc into you now. I'm sure your resilient little bean will be fine 😊 Good idea on trying to get a scan to put your mind at ease.

Sending love and thoughts out

Xxx

Drttc · 14/08/2017 17:30

Harriet I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm an example of women who actual bled (with DS) loads! It turned out I had a SCH which is more common than you'd think. They also said that the pregnancy was quite low and potentially had a small bit trying to attach to my cervix which would have led to loose blood vessels and bleeding. There are so many reasons really. This early on I think it can even be implantation bleeding still? Glad you've got a scan booked for tomorrow and really hopeful it'll be a positive outcome xx

Seeking Will be thinking of you tomorrow and praying you find all is well xx

PoppyJ1 · 14/08/2017 16:24

Harriet, you poor love. We are all rooting for you. Even if it turns to bleeding there is still a good chance it's fine. I know that sounds like a mythical hope buts it's absolutely true. Doesn't make it any less scary though. How awful having to deal with the worry at work. Fingers crossed for you x

LunaB · 14/08/2017 16:02

Oh sweetheart 😰

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 15:40

Thanks luna and seeking. Mine is 10am tomorrow. I'll be 5+6 which I know is still so early. I just feel so miserable now and want to go home to bed. Only a couple of hours of work to get through. It's definitely pink now rather than brown and more watery than CM. Just waiting for it to turn into actual bleeding.

seeking it's really good news that yours has stopped. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Seekingmiracles · 14/08/2017 15:12

Sorry you're dealing with this shit too Harriet. Mine is the same, brown/pinky cm. although it seems to have stopped for now but I'm going for a scan at 9am at EPU. Glad I've got it booked to be honest, didn't want to pay to get bad news at MrS'. So if it is bad news I'll cancel.
Glad you have a scan booked too Harriet. How far along are you?

Glad you're feeling better drttc.

LunaB · 14/08/2017 15:12

harriet that's good - and nothing to do but wait now.

Every success is a success for us all, and every time there's a threat to that success I believe we all feel it 🙏🤞

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 15:04

I've got a scan tomorrow. Really fearing the worst now but just have to wait and see.

Tee4me · 14/08/2017 14:07

Thanks for your timing advice on the meds Harriet, sounds like you have it nailed.
Sorry you are going through this uncertainty with discoloured CM. Are you still cramping? Yes you must try and get to epu tomorrow just to put your mind at rest x

LunaB · 14/08/2017 14:02

harriet I'm really sorry this is happening... i really don't know what to say as it's could just as easily be nothing bad - wish we could walk into a scan every day... would be so reassuring.

Remember you have been taking loads of drugs, plus a shed load of aspirin - and so all the rules about bleeding and discharge and pregnancy in general don't apply to us!

Just as the meds mask nausea etc. god knows what other stuff they mess with, like the CM...

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 13:46

Yes luna cm = cervical mucus aka discharge.

Just had some pinkish CM as well for the first time and terrified I'm out now. Ffs I'm so sick of this. My natural mcs started with red bleeding like a period but were much earlier than this.

I'm in work and really can't get out to the epu this afternoon. I will try to go tomorrow if it continues/gets worse.

Hope you are ok seeking

LunaB · 14/08/2017 12:25

I'm assuming CM is discharge basically harriet? I'm crap with learning the code letters!! Will you call the clinic and see what they say?

Drttc, glad you're feeling better, and that it most prob a bug! Not sure if your little one goes to nursery, but I've had the norovirus about 5 times in 1.5 years! Not great!! Goo idea to stay away from people until you're completely better!

seeking.... any news?

Drttc · 14/08/2017 12:07

Hey Luna thanks for asking- I'm still feeling fragile but much better than yesterday. Have stopped throwing up and can now hold down water and bland food. Was definitely a horrible stomach bug! Now I have that nauseating feeling hanging about all day. Worried about the dehydration and illness affecting the little bean :-( But want to recover more before going for another scan. Might try for an EPU scan in the next week if I can.

Harriet those symptoms don't sound worrisome. Hope you've not caught a bug like I have- I swear everyone we know has had something in the last month or so and I foolishly thought I'd dodged it! So the scan is next Monday? Not long now!

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 11:54

Thanks luna it's still there. GROSS POST alert!

Im only getting it when I wipe and it's weird - it's not liquid at all - really thick and creamy CM but just brown rather than white. I've never had it before. Also having some light cramps this morning and have had a bad case of the runs! So who knows what's going on. I'm trying not to worry. Scan is 1 week today.

Good luck sweetie seeking 🙏

harriet how's the spotting?

Just jeeeez what a faff indeed!! You poor little thing!!!

Drttc how you feeling Hun?

JustLa · 14/08/2017 10:11

I agree with the meds being a faff! After I do my heparin injection, I run up and down the stairs with the leg I just stabbed to circulate the liquid, or it burns lol. I then have to keep moving for a bit and look like a total nut job 😂
Omez and pred at breakkie, vitamins and aspirin after dinner, cyclo before bed (have to have one pee, get into bed, get out for another then go for it lol)
I can barely be bothered to deal with my slow digestive system and the severe acne outbreak on my chest! But... it will all be worth it if this works out 😊

JustLa · 14/08/2017 10:06

Thinking of you today Seeking. Hopefully the cm is just your womb doing its job and getting rid of old stuff and that your instinct is actually just some perfectly natural worrying xxx

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 09:36

Hi tee sorry should have said - I take my vitamins (pregnacare max and vitamin D) after lunch to avoid that issue. My routine is cyclogest 30mins before I get out of bed, then omeprazole before breakfast, pred after breakfast, vits after lunch and thyroxine and more cyclogest before bed - such a faff!!!

OP posts:
Drttc · 14/08/2017 09:01

Oh Seeking I really hope it turns out positively today. I agree that the actual symptom in itself doesn't sound worrying, so praying your feeling is wrong this time xx

Tee4me · 14/08/2017 08:29

That's interesting Harriet, thanks. One thought on that though is that I take my vast array of supplements after dinner which would certainly include calcium. I don't eat dinner until about 8pm so don't feel like I'd have an empty stomach by the time I go to bed @ 11ish 🤔 Or would dinner be processed (by the stomach at least) by then I wonder...

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 08:07

seeking please let us know how you get on. I'll be thinking of you today.

tee I take my thyroxine last thing before bed. Calcium can also affect the absorption of thyroxine and I usually have milk and/or yoghurt at breakfast so was advised years ago to take it at night instead and haven't had any problems. I'd try that rather than omitting the omeprazole.

OP posts:
Tee4me · 14/08/2017 07:51

Seeking really hope you get on OK today, I can imagine how unsettled you must be feeling. Hugs x

I can't remember who else is on Thyroxine here, but as I take it first thing in the morning, I wondered about whether the Omeprazole I'm now taking (to limit the stomach disturbances caused by Pred) could affect the absorption of the Thyroxine? Had a quick Google and noticed a couple of remarks that's it can adversely affect its performance. I currently take Thyroxine @ 7.30am, Omeprazole @ 8am, then the Pred after breakfast between 8.30-9.30am. Anyone on the same meds have any thoughts? Wondering whether I leave bigger gaps in between the meds or just drop the Omeprazole altogether and accept the stomach issues.
