Hi all, thought I'd get the ball rolling on the new thread.

Welcome all with immune/natural killer cell issues.

It's been a while since a new thread so thought it might be helpful if we all added our stats:

I'm harriet, age 30, TTC#1.
3 mcs (2 at 5 weeks, 1 mmc at 9 weeks).
Hypothyroid and high NK cells.
Cycle 2 on pred!

Yeah I think so. They didn't really say, just that it could be from fertilisation. I'm wondering if I was in fact preggers with twins, because by the dates there's no way I could have got a 2-3 on a digi as early as I did. And maybe the bleed is what left of that and he rest has been reabsorbed... just my mind working overdrive

LunaB · 15/08/2017 10:42

You know, a healthy little bean at 8 weeks is SO important! Such a good sign this wee one is here to stay ❤️

Drttc · 15/08/2017 10:42

Seeking that is absolutely wonderful news!!! So happy for you!

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 10:42

Wonderful news, what a relief x

LunaB · 15/08/2017 10:41

Amazing seeking, lovely to hear you happy! What's the bleeeding mean tho? Like just a random little blood pool?

Seekingmiracles · 15/08/2017 10:37

Glad you're feeling good Luna!
And hope you can enjoy lots of non-ttc related stuff this month poppy. It does feel more relaxed when you're not constantly watching and waiting doesn't it.

Seekingmiracles · 15/08/2017 10:34

Morning ladies, good news here. So utterly surprised! Baby is measuring 8w5d just 1 day behind my last NHS scan. And a few ahead of MrS'. Got a small area of bleeding which they said may still bleed more. But at least I'll know why.
Hoping for good news for you too Harriet and Just Smile

LunaB · 15/08/2017 10:12

Brilliant babe! Positive vibes!

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 09:27

No ill effects from the Pred (yet) Luna (yes it's my first cycle on it). I've generally been feeling like a new woman and I'm wondering if that's down to the Thyroxine (on it for 3 weeks now), I feel totally lifted. I know Hypothyroidism can make you feel low. I've been doing 20mins on my bike a day (didn't want to embark on anything too strenuous) and really watching what I'm eating to minimise the potential weight gain.
Was supposed to have acupuncture yesterday, but the clinic hadn't booked me in properly, so missed out on that, which is a bit of a shame because I wanted to throw everything at this cycle. Feeling positive and excited still x

LunaB · 15/08/2017 08:58

Morning all, thinking of our scanners today! Good news re spotting harriet, I'm really sure everyone will be ok! And our faith and hope will be restored!

How you feeling from the Pred tee? I can't remember, is it your first go on it? Nothing to report for me - Starting Pred probably on the day you test!

sheepy, enjoy your job satisfaction, (I love old people, did you see that documentary about 5 year olds in a nursing home?) - and ignore the nasty lady

poppy, enjoy the break - its blissful to know you can't fail and NOT TTC 🙌

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 07:52

Poppy hope you enjoy the break from TTC. Be nice to reset your system ready for a clean slate in September.
Just good luck today!
Harriet & Seeking hoping to hear positive things for you ladies too.
Sheepy hope your colleagues got out the right side of bed today!
Just/Luna I'm on day 4 of pred, test date next Tuesday x

JustLa · 15/08/2017 07:27

Luna how are you feeling? Xx

JustLa · 15/08/2017 07:26

*thinking about non TTC things (autcorrect got me)

JustLa · 15/08/2017 07:25

Seeking and Harriet, will be waiting to hear from you hoping for good reports on strong little fighters ⭐️⭐️

Poppy you're such a sweetheart looking that up, it's very comforting thank you! I think I've been too busy looking up whether constipation can hurt baby... I must google that twice a day at least!!! Lol
A relaxing month thinking of non try things will be lovely and refreshing for you. No pred either so you can enjoy a glass or two throughout 🥂

Sheepy, agree with Harriet- hope you can just ignore the nasties at work and that you're feeling ok after your ordeal.

Tee, when are you testing??

Drttc, hope you are feeling hydrated and stronger?

Still thinking of Starshine- if you ever pop by and feel like updating us would love to hear from you

Xxx

Sheepy1980 · 15/08/2017 06:45

I do most days, still I am now going to start my new routine which is do my job and come home. I am going to also start Couch to 5k as well, me running is going to be funny

harrietm87 · 14/08/2017 22:22

Thanks so much for all the lovely messages - really really appreciate it everyone. I haven't had any spotting since I got home from work at 6ish, but still cramping a bit. Really regretting that 4 hour walk up a hill I did on Saturday but realistically know that won't have affected anything. I will update you all tomorrow morning.

And just and seeking I will be thinking of you both too.

sheepy that sounds so horrible. Hope you can just ignore them.

Oddly enough it was the other carers not the management team although one of them doesn't like me and is at times very off with me but I think it is just her. Working in a nursing home is usually beneficial and they are fully aware that I could be off a lot longer than what I was especially after surgery Friday. But I can't do that. We are chronically short staffed and being summer holidays it's even worse but with certain staff being the way they are and at times they are bitches and you actually wonder why they are in this job. Me I love it and when I get a thank you or a smile it makes it worth while

Sorry, last part was meant to say "sorry you've had a shit day, Sheepy... xx

PoppyJ1 · 14/08/2017 21:04

Hi all,

Luna, yeah I'm all good thanks. Spent the weekend with my mum, which was lovely. Feeling that early in the cycle feeling of calm knowing my O day is irrelevant in DP's absence! It will be nice not to have a 2ww this month! How are you feeling about your imminent testing?

Harriet, Seeking and JustLa, thinking of all three is you tomorrow and still expecting good news for you all despite the scary updates.

Just, I looked up some threads on results of nuchal scans and pretty much everyone was coming back with risks of 1 in several thousand, including a number of women in the mid thirties to early forties. Age seems to be only a very small part of the equation and the headline number for age is much scarier sounding than most of the results I read.

Sorry you've had a shit day, Seeking. Workplaces need to get their act together with health issues, the industrial revolution and was centuries ago and you must not be made to feel worse for your time off.

Lots of love to all and looking forward to some positive updates xx

Sheepy1980 · 14/08/2017 20:46

It's other carers, not management.. I am hoping that it is all sorted out.

LunaB · 14/08/2017 20:37

Testing soon Tee! 🎉🎉

Tee4me · 14/08/2017 20:16

Oh girls, fingers crossed for you all tomorrow.
Sheepy, talk about insult to injury, I'm sorry you're going through this x

LunaB · 14/08/2017 19:17

Of course of course Just! Amazing - and soon Harmony and then you'll be able to find out the sex!!

Sheepy, wtf?? What do you mean you're getting grief from work? That's awful!

Harriet... still thinking of you. Seeking... hoping it's still stopped

Drtcc, are you a type of doctor? I've always wondered if you are 'Dr Trying to Conceive'? Lol

poppy, did you have a good day!?

Sheepy1980 · 14/08/2017 19:09

I am back at work but regretting it, I wish people would not automatically assume that I was taking the piss with loosing the baby. I am getting grief because I have got next week off and they are not happy but it is the last pre booked holiday I had before I started the job. I have then got no other holiday until next year
