Hi all, thought I'd get the ball rolling on the new thread.

Welcome all with immune/natural killer cell issues.

It's been a while since a new thread so thought it might be helpful if we all added our stats:

I'm harriet, age 30, TTC#1.
3 mcs (2 at 5 weeks, 1 mmc at 9 weeks).
Hypothyroid and high NK cells.
Cycle 2 on pred!

Great news sheepy! Best way - get them told off officially!!

I'm busy updating my little spreadsheet on you guys (😂), and adding little heartbeats next to all the new babies being baked ❤️

Not entirely sure what that means harriet... but anyway nothing happening with me... the usual aches starting to signify ovulation upcoming (I suffer badly from ovu pain so can literally feel the little blighter pop out!)... not getting jiggy yet... this weekend marks Phase 2 of baby making quest

I'm wondering how stuck is doing?

harrietm87 · 16/08/2017 08:02

sheepy glad you've been proactive at work and hope the culprit gets a good telling off!

poppy I love that mantra - thanks for sharing it! It's so hard once you've lost that innocence of expecting things to be ok - you just swing to expecting the worst and believing it will come true.

seeking your post made me well up! I can't wait for the day when I have my own baby sleeping on me 😊

sunny so good to hear from you and you're almost there!

drttc has your dating changed now? I think I'm 6w today - are you slightly behind now? Hope you're feeling better.

tee I'm excited for you! Not long to wait! Great that the thyroxine has given you a boost. I've had my results back and my TSH has gone up from 1.94 to 2.93, so need to up my dose. My GP is total crap and won't see me till Friday, so I'm just self medicating an extra 25mcg/day for now. I can also ask mr s on mon.

luna how are you and where are you at? Are you in FW yet??

Well things should be sorted at work, and I sadly made a formal complaint against a staff member being a bitch before I went sick it is being investigated, but said person is off this week and it is calmer and no atmosphere.
I do wonder why some people are in this job as they have no compassion I have had a lovely shift and spent time actually talking to my residents and the 'difficult' ones are usually the ones that like to have a chat someone to talk to. And someone that treats them as a person not a piece of meat..
not having so many effects of the predisnolone now that I am taking omeprazole along with my meds.
Hopefully will have my appointment with professor quenby soon but I have my Willow centre appointment in 3 weeks. Enjoying the snuggle time with hubby a lot at the moment

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 21:18

Yes twiglets!!!!
I strongly recommend acupuncture girls. The lady I see has a wonderful holistic/supportive approach.

JustLa · 15/08/2017 21:06

Oh oh good article Tee, I'll buy some tomorrow!
Smashed some twiglets today, hope they count 🙌🏼

JustLa · 15/08/2017 21:04

Thanks all for well wishes 😊

Sunny thanks for the update, you're so close to the big finale! How exciting :)
Hope you manage to get more sleep before the little bundle arrives.

Poppy what a great idea! Geri Halliwell had a baby at 44, naturally conceived with help from acupuncture! Think Celine Dion did too so it must be really effective ⭐️

What a week!

JustLa, this is great news, I'm so pleased! So close to reveal time, how wonderful!

Goes to show how many scary situations turn out well. Very encouraging.

I have just scheduled in fertility focused homeopathy/acupuncture with the women who cured my childhood cold sores and some weird giddy spells I used to have. She's a registered osteopath too and has an approach that blends with western medicine. The apt will be two weeks before DP and I will be trying again, so hoping she can give me a boost.

Have also been talking to my accountant about self employed maternity allowance and looking into how having a baby affects my tax estimates, etc. The Law of Attraction! Grin

Seekingmiracles · 15/08/2017 17:53

Great mantra poppy, one I will try to remember over the next few weeks.

So glad your scan has gone well just Smile

Sunny* lovely to hear from you! The sleep issue must be so exhausting, but perhaps your bodys way of prepping you Hmm
The next 7 weeks will fly by!

I'm currently sat with Tallulah having fallen asleep on me (which rarely happens these days) just thinking about how truly lucky I've been. There were dark days when I couldn't even date to imagine that I'd have moments like this. All the pain, heartache and stress is soooo worth it Smile

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 16:06

Awesome day for this thread!! Congratulations all round 🌈🌈🌈❤️❤️❤️

JustLa · 15/08/2017 15:45

Hi all, just dropping by quickly to let you know it's a hat trick!
Good news here, baby looking good and measuring a few days bigger than it should this week (this seems to fluctuate) strong hb, was dancing around on the screen like crazy and this was all on an abdominal scan, yay ❤️❤️❤️

Xx

Sheepy1980 · 15/08/2017 11:57

I did and I am trying to see if we can do something similar in our home, as I think it would benefit them

Drttc · 15/08/2017 11:38

Poppy that's a great phrase to keep in mind. Will try to remember it as my anxiety is starting to ramp up since recovering from the stomach bug.

Drttc · 15/08/2017 11:36

Harriet that's wonderful news!! Yay! Hoping you can feel at ease for a while now.

A very happy day for the thread :-)

Sunny so lovely to hear you're doing well. I can only imagine how it must feel to be in the third trimester and caring for a toddler... Knowing the baby will be there soon! You're doing an amazing job x

PoppyJ1 · 15/08/2017 11:29

My motto from previous therapy sessions is "separate thought from fear." Often when you "think" something is going to happen, that makes it seem definite, but actually you don't really think or know it, you just fear it and that doesn't make it real x

sunnyday01 · 15/08/2017 11:28

This thread is moving so quickly I can't keep up with everything going on, its so nice to see it very active with lots of support for each other as it went very quiet for a while!

Fab news seeking on your scan and at least you know why you have some spotting.

Also great news for everyone else getting good scans and hearing a hb.

Fingers crossed to all those still ttc - keep going it will happen.

As for me i'm 33 weeks tomorrow - strangely over the past coupe of weeks i'v started to feel more anxious - probably the most anxious i've felt this whole pregnancy - i think its because i'm now nearing the end i just want to make sure the baby is all ok. Up until this point i've been fairly relaxed and kind of what happens happens. I've also not bee sleeping that well - even though i am tired, its either taking me ages to get to sleep (the other night i went to bed at 9.30 and was still awake at 1am) or i go to sleep straight away but then wake up at midnight for a couple of hours. Its fustrating when i still have to work and look after an 18 month old! But i suppose i might as well get used to it!

LunaB · 15/08/2017 11:27

Thank fuck! What more is there to say!!!

Here's to everybody meeting & passing those personal milestones!

I've been getting heart palpitations when I get a notification that someone has posted!

JustLa · 15/08/2017 11:13

Omg brilliant news!!! 🙌🏼❤️🙌🏼❤️🙌🏼
Seeking, it must be reassuring to know that what you thought was instinct was instead, worry. Hopefully you can use that to help calm you next time you feel edgy 😊😊
Harriet how wonderful, a heart beat! The first time you get a hbu is so amazing, this pregnancy was my first too.

❤️❤️❤️❤️

Tee4me · 15/08/2017 11:06

Yes Harriet!!! Amazing!!! x

PoppyJ1 · 15/08/2017 10:58

This is fantastic!

I'm so glad for you both, Harriet what great news seeing an early heartbeat! Seems early heartbeats are a new trend in this thread, between you and Drttc! Fab!

Seeking, great that you have an explanation for the bleeding. Hopefully thIs will help your nerves as you get through the next milestone. Sad to think about twin possibility though, I suppose it's one of those things we will never know and possibly in nature are not supposed to know. My second pregnancy showed 2-3 weeks when I was actually just under 2 weeks. My hormone levels were the high end of normal; I think the digi ones set quite a low threshold.

Looking forward to your update, JustLa x

Seekingmiracles · 15/08/2017 10:56

Ahh that's great Harriet!! You must feel so relieved!! And a heartbeat!! It's so amazing isn't it, that something so tiny can have a heartbeat! Fingers crossed for a smoother ride from here on out.

harrietm87 · 15/08/2017 10:51

Good news from me too - I saw a tiny flickering heartbeat!!!! I've never got this far before.

They didn't really date me - said I was measuring just under 6 weeks (I'm 5+6) but all looks perfect. There was some bleeding near the sac but she said it looked like it had clotted. I've also got an ovarian cyst - the corpus luteum is massive! But again nothing to worry about - they will monitor it but should resolve on its own. I'm so relieved.

And seeking so delighted for you too! What a nerve wracking day!

Hope all is well for you too just.

Just want to get to 10 weeks then I think I'll be able to believe it. We lost mc4 at 8+6 so that's a horrible milestone

LunaB · 15/08/2017 10:46

Interesting... well thank goodness they aren't worried and it's just one of those things. I'm really happy for you! I can't imagine being 8 weeks preg! Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉 enjoy it hun!
