I'm nervous/excited Grin

AF due anywhere between Tuesday and Friday.. All being well and she doesn't show, I'll probably test next Saturday or Sunday.

Anyone else counting down the next week?

Babies I feel your pain! But on the positive side it sounds like your cycles have gone straight back to a normal length after the pill which is good. I'm still going to say you're not out until af shows though! Grin

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 19:11

So sorry you're having a bad night Florence fingers crossed you'll still get an early night!

Think I might be bowing out tonight ladies, just been to the toilet and there was a little bit of dark blood when I wipe. Disappointing! But figured chances would be low, it was only cycle one for us Smile and that's put my cycle at 29 days which gives me something to work with next month.

Shortcake men are so rubbish! I'm pretty sure my OH doesn't even think of me when he's out with his friends which was so frustrating to start but I've gotten used to it now and don't expect anything more. Him putting pressure on you to conceive doesn't help though. I hope that you get a helpful dr at your appointment and that will move you forward and hopefully get him in a more positive state of mind.

Oh no Florence! I'd be crying in the car too.

So I've had a bit of pink spotting. Just on the tp when I wipe but if I'm honest with myself I think this is af and she'll be bang on time tomorrow. Now I really wish I could have a bath!

Florence16 · 19/07/2017 18:40

Sorry to hear that shortcake, I would be annoyed with him too! Very insensitive throw away comment about his friends having reason to call home, grrrr.

Well, disaster for me!! Left work 2 hours ago and my car won't start. Jump starting failed and now waiting to be recovered. They'll have to store my car overnight and can take me to a train station which would take me 3 hours to get home from...DH has just left work to drive an hour to come get me. Then in the morning I have to drive him to sit and wait to get a hire car and then I take his to work. No one can look at mine til Monday! I am crying in the car, utterly ridiculous but I really needed my bath and an early night Sad

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 17:09

Thanks ladies - I'll let you know how the GP appointment goes. Yeah disheartening, but what is meant to be and all that.

I do get a bit cross with my husband though. In fact I am a bit annoyed with him at the moment. He went to an old boys school reunion weekend last week and since he came home he has been thoroughly miserable and moody! I hit the nail on the head when I said that it was because he saw all of his old friends and they had what he didn't: a steady job (he currently does freelance consultancy work), a house (he sold his house 2 years ago as we lived in different parts of the UK and he moved into my 1 bed flat), and children! His best friend is about to be come a father for the 3rd time and all of the other lads have between 1-2 kids each. They're all late 30s. He also didnt bother to ring in over the weekend - not too much of an issue as I told him to just go and enjoy himself, but when he said that the other guys were constantly phoning home, but they had a reason cos they had kids, that hurt. When we got married last year we had to have a few marriage sessions with the Priest (Catholic Church) and we were asked to discuss any reservations we may have about the marriage. I spoke openly and honestly and said my only reservation was what would happen if we weren't able to have a family! I am 40 / 41 in November and I know how desperate he is to have a family (to be honest he is probably more keen than I am) and I have always said that my age could be a factor in us not being able to conceive. Since we've been married I feel like we've pretty much be in limbo. We were / are considering relocating to Durham where OH's famiy is from, but due to the contracts he is currently doing we can't put down any roots or make any long term plans. So frustrating!!

Sorry I am rambling: for the rest of the week work! Then this weekend hair appointment and then over to a friend's house for the afternoon and Sunday my sister is having a birthday BBQ.

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 17:08

Ooops I forgot to take the bold letters off 🙈😂

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 17:07

Ahh congratulations on the house move Florence Grin** we moved into our house about 6 months ago but we are still in the process of renovating it so we are yet to buy luxurious towels..I'm very jealous!

Hope your tummy is feeling better soon Betsy Brew xx

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 16:54

We can betsy not long to go now!! Thanks for the moral support! I'm assuming tomorrow is day 29? Keeping everything crossed AF stays away!

I am working the rest of the week now up to and including Saturday. I don't work every Saturday but do the odd one here and there, hence why I've had today off! Should keep my busy and stop my mind wandering too much! You've got me thinking about a bath now, might have one tonight myself! You have to have some luxuries in life so enjoy those towels!!

Florence16 · 19/07/2017 16:41

Laughing at knicker watch Grin can't say I'm in that club, but I have been to the loo several times as drinking more to try and sort my skin out.

Hoping AF doesn't show for any more of us. Mine could be very late and just pill related, I've mentally written this month off, first time lucky would be incredibly lucky anyway Smile

What are you all up to this week? I work Mon-Fri but moved house a fortnight ago so still settling into the new place. Spent a shocking amount on some beautiful Emma B towels so very much looking forward to a nice soak in the bath when I get home. My house feels like a holiday home still!

Betsyboo87 · 19/07/2017 16:14

We can do this happybus! I think tomorrow is going to be the decider for me. I have had af arrive a day or two early before but I never go over 29 days.

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 16:01

I usually order them online too but I can't use that as a excuse not to test this month as I have some left from last mongh lol!

I've been back and forward to the loo all day too....doesn't help that I've had the day off so just been pottering round the house! Had a tiny bit of spotting earlier just once but not as much as yesterday and still feeling twinges/cramps. I can feel myself getting my hopes up and have to keep bringing myself back down to earth lol! I hope I can stick it out until Saturday....

Betsyboo87 · 19/07/2017 15:50

I've ordered! I won't get it until Fri so that works for FMU on Sat if af doesn't arrive. I've got this....

Betsyboo87 · 19/07/2017 15:48

babiesonthebrain Blush I'll be mortified if they've been saying that! One of my team is very blunt and doesn't hold back so I think she would have said it to my face. I did make a comment about how I'm trying to drink more water but it's so annoying having to go to the loo all the time! This is what my life has become.

littlemiss I meant to say my tummy has been a bit weird too. I keep burping. Wow I sound so attractive.

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 15:45

I still feel hungry though, is it normal to have a stomach bug and really fancy a Chinese takeaway for tea?!

Hehe Betsy, let us know if you decide to give in to temptation Grin

Us women are crazy babiesonthebrain!! We are far too impatient for our own good! ...But then men tell us just to wait it out but I'm sure they wouldn't be saying that if it was their bodies going through all of this Hmmxx

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 15:35

@Littlemisssugarplum88 hopefully it will be more than just a bug ;) this is actually only my first cycle! Before we were TTC I used to love looking at the squint tests on here but always swore I'd never be one of those woman who'd test early and frantically looked for a line. But there I was at 11.45pm last night, holding my test to the light in the hope I could see just a little bit of something! 😂

@Betsyboo87, I can imagine the people in your workplace - 'poor betsy, must have an upset stomach, she's been in and out of the loo all day!' Grin

I think buying the tests online is a very good idea too! If AF hasn't shown by this time tomorrow I may order some on Amazon Smile

OP posts:
Betsyboo87 · 19/07/2017 15:24

babiesonthebrain I've told myself I'm not allowed to take another trip to the ladies at work until I'm about to leave! So ridiculous! It doesn't help that I busied myself with work this morning to take my mind off things and now I don't have much to do.

littlemiss that's a good tactic! I might have to order online too....

I keep thinking that if af arrives then I'm going to be so messed up about my spotting. It always goes straight from light spotting to heavy spotting to af with no gaps. This month I had about 5 days spotting and now on day 2 of nothing. At least I knew what the pattern was before! I shouldn't get ahead of myself though.... there is still hope.

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 15:15

Thank you for the warm welcome babiesonthebrain. No more vomiting today but my stomach feels like something isn't sitting right in it, I've probably picked up a bug or something.

I get too easily tempted to test like you lol but I've ordered a frer from online so it makes me feel like I've bought one but it's out of my hands to test until it actually arrives lol. Think it's the only time I want my post to take its time to arrive haha!

Xx

BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 15:08

@Betsyboo87 so glad I'm not the only one on knicker watch!!! Grin

OP posts:
BabiesOnTheBrain1 · 19/07/2017 15:08

Welcome to the new ladies! Glad to see there's more of us :)

@happybus28 that's true, I've been kept very busy this morning and afternoon which has kept my mind off it, and there's still no AF, although have had some light cramps this afternoon. I'm so glad your sporting has stopped, hopefully that will be finished for you now :)

@shortcake76 so sorry that AF has arrived for you! I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you trying so long 😕 we all just assume it will happen quickly don't we. Do you use OPKs or temp or anything to help track your cycle?

Welcome @Littlemisssugarplum88 so sorry to hear about your MMC :( how heartbreaking. Hopefully the sickness is a positive sign for you! I've had the occasional wave of nausea, mostly at lunchtime which I hoped was a good sign.

I'm so tempted to go and buy a FRER to use tomorrow morning but I really need to put it to the back of my mind until at least Friday morning, preferably even Saturday morning if AF still hasn't arrived...

OP posts:
Betsyboo87 · 19/07/2017 13:52

Oh no Shortcake! I hope your drs appointment is productive though.

My night sounds like yours Happybus - I woke up to use the toilet and my bbs we no longer hurting so I totally convinced myself af would be here this morning. Anyways here I am still with no af or spotting and on obsessive knicker watch. Turns out my bbs are a little sore too but not sure if it's as much as yesterday. I told hubby last night about the lack of spotting and he told me to stop thinking about it. Helpful.

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 13:01

Will do and keep me posted re all of your test results!

Ah well, another month closer to a September baby!

happybus28 · 19/07/2017 10:54

Aw I'm sorry shortcake it's so frustrating, I have been trying similar length of time to you so I completely understand how you feel. I use a app called ovia for tracking my cycles and logging info. It's quite good and easy to use to keep track of where you are up too.

Let us know how you get on at the doctors tomorrow x

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 10:16

I'm sorry to hear AF had arrived shortcake, it really is so frustrating isn't it. Don't give up hope just yet, I'd been ttc for 2 years before my mc and I was convinced I'd never get pregnant.
Fingers crossed we all get our little miracle soon xx

shortcake76 · 19/07/2017 10:12

Here is where I bow out... sadly AF has just arrived so I won't be testing this weekend as not pregnant :-( Gutted

We've been ttc since May 2016. Feeling a bit despondent and like it's never going to happen.

Are you using any apps etc that I should be aware of? Or can you recommend any good sites?

Good luck to you all - I'll keep my eye on this post xx

Littlemisssugarplum88 · 19/07/2017 09:33

I had a mmc at 11 weeks the week before Xmas and I had no pregnancy symptoms apart from dizziness now and again, and then obviously I had no signs or symptoms at all for the mc until I had a scan and I was told it had died 4 weeks before Sad..I know they say every pregnancy is different but I've no idea if sickness could be a sign already at 8dpo Confused Probably just my body playing tricks on me.

That's reassuring shortcake that your friend had sickness really early on, I guess only time will tell.

Happy, I've just ordered a couple of frer so I'll probably end up testing over the weekend too lol I get too impatient 🙈
