Look at it long term... being a solicitor you are bound to earn lots of money

I know mine does!

My friends are having exactly the same issue with their house and had to move in with their mum and dad and rent their house out to cover the mortgage. They had two children one after the other and she had to give up work, hence struggling on one wage with a massive mortgage. It is no fun at all!

MrsMcEasterBunny · 03/04/2007 15:51

Sending hugs too (and taking a few for myself!) I think writing can be very therapeutic, I felt much better after I?d written Ava?s poem.

Really bored and fed up this afternoon it?s lovely outside and I just want to be out there.

Also, I?ve been getting really down about money. Every month it is a total struggle to make ends meet and we wouldn?t manage if it weren?t for some creative thinking here and there. I?m just tired of it. I wish I could go shopping or go on holiday but I can?t DH and I had a big discussion about it last night. Our house has now been on the market since October with no real interest and it is so depressing. It is a lovely house and I hate to leave it but that is the vital step in our plan to move to Spain. We really thought it would be sold by now and we?d be paying off lots of debt each month and saving to move over there but at this rate, we?re going to have to delay the move because we need more time of earning what we do here to pay off debt I know we are very lucky in many, many ways but some days, I can?t see the wood for the trees and it feels like we never get lucky Sorry, moan over.

Big Hug Just in case you needed one Rah

EasterRampantRAHbit · 03/04/2007 15:20

I have been listening to a DVD at night when I go to sleep (it was given to me at the fertility clinic) and that discusses embracing my unborn child, identifying with it etc etc.... So I would not say it is unhealthy to write to your yet conceived child, as I think it helps you brain to identify that you can conceive...The material I have is obviously approved by doctors, so I would not worry... perfectly normal!

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 03/04/2007 15:11

Thanks Rah - I did feel some sort of relief last night after writing it, and was able to sleep afterwards. I think I will keep it, just in case I need to look at it again, in another 7 cycles!!

EasterRampantRAHbit · 03/04/2007 14:56

I don't think thats odd.. I have been told to write.. as it is a good way to get feelings out. I have a book where I write to Bertie when I feel down and want to speak to him. I have also been told to write down all the events that happened at the hospital as it allows some of the feelings out.
In time I might not need that book anymore and I will either throw it away (as too painful)or keep it with all of Bertie's stuff... But it is a good way to cope with everything...It has been recommended several times, so much be a common 'therapy' technique for loss, grief, upset etc...

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 03/04/2007 14:47

Yum - Even I think you should test!!! Do it!! I need something to cheer me up!! And a BFP for one of my buddies would be just the ticket!!!!

Rah - Height can skip a generation, I think

Seaside - I bought 10 OPKs (cheapies) so will see how I get on with them... If I ovulate on CD19 again this month, I will NEVER use them again

MrsMc - Thank you for reminding me about Minxi!! I know what you mean about Alma and Orson... I was tutting at the tv saying, oh yeah, because it is just the flaming easy! Argh.

Ok... I have to tell you all something... and it's kind of - but last night, I got myself all upset, couldn't sleep - so I sat and wrote a letter to "the baby I have yet to conceive" - and blubbed a plenty. Is it really odd? Do you think I have cracked up? What should I do with it?

EasterRampantRAHbit · 03/04/2007 14:28

LOL... you guys make me laugh...boys on strike!..hehe... desperate housewives!(But then again you have given me an idea!)

It is so frustrating when men are like that, they are so bloody stubborn! I have just done a OPK and have a medium positive line... not bold but very much there! So in one breath I am phew... was worried I had delayed ovulation again and then on the other hand I'm like...sodding husband is going to make me miss the 1 day of the sodding month being a basta*rd! I am tempted to go and source from somewhere else, but my husband is short and will get suspicious if the child was too tall! LOL

MUM03, maybe a test is in order, so you don't work yourself up anymore and put yourself out your misery.. ((Please don't shout at me, it's only one day early!))

seaside72 · 03/04/2007 13:30

Yum03!! - just looked at your chart and hate to fuel your fire but it does look good?? Ov was really early wasnt it?- do you think that is accurate re CM etc. Is 14 days your longest LP? If so then I would say you should test on CD25/ Thursday at 15 dpo.

OK - So lets be rational & realistic - you can do nothing about the result now except do a test early and maybe get a BFN and still feel the same and there is no point doing a test unless it is FMU. Anything you do now is not going to change the result. If AF does arrive in the mean time there's no denying you will feel like poo.

That doesnt help at all and I will try not to get excited for you distraction is the name of the game I think. Play duchesses Bat the Rat here !!

yum03creameggs · 03/04/2007 13:13

Please help girls, I am feeling so nausous, and huge sore boobies, and head-y. I have managed to start thinking that I am pg, and I am SO worried about how I will feel tomorrow if/when af arrives. I have built myself up for a mighty fall. Please help me climb down before it happens.

Gracie ? I know how you feel hon

Greedy ? sorry if I made it worse for you that cycle Greedy

Yum03 ? everything crossed hon! I can?t stand the taste of wine, even good stuff when pg! We?re having chicken in white wine tonight too! doesn?t count as booze in sauce does it?

Hello Seaside annoying about the OPKs! PMSL about the scene with Alma & Orson in Desp Housewives, I was sat there thinking ?as if it?ll happen just that once!?

Hello Rah sorry to hear that the boys? are on strike! I have had that too from DH. Can?t give any advice, mine is so stubborn, if he says no, he means it!

Of course we are here for you Ready I can?t find anything anywhere about a hike for other reasons just remembered, Minxi is going to Spain this week to her new place!

seaside72 · 03/04/2007 10:54

Yum03 Well done for updating dpo's - I want to say it was a deliberate mistake to make sure everyone was paying attention but actually I was just being ditzy and was on the fly!!

Ready for the chart support - I was relieved to get a peak today. Mind you here is a cautionary tale about those cheapie OPK's - I did one on Sat afternoon - faint second line - but not really+ then did another on Sunday afternoon and no second line at all so -ive then did one Monday at 6pm - second line there bit darker than Saturday but still not convincing. The did another just before bed at midnight and it was def + the srongest + I have had - so just shows how you almost have to test pretty much 2x a day - if I do one this afternoon I bet it will not be as + as last night - interesting (or not!! )

rah oh men - I know how you feel - what is up with that?? I have found that I really have to tiptoe around my DH around OV - we usually talk about everything but I have made a conscious effort this month to not tell him my CD and OPK results etc in fact I kind of lied and said that the crunch time is next weekend when really it is now and that I just want to BD every other day for at least 10 days and he seems to be OK so far - but it could all change tomorrow. The worst thing is you get so frustrated and it all feels so out of your control - not helpful for the eggs I am sure! Could you try and sneak up on him tomorrow morning or even middle of the night! I have tried that and it has about a 50% success rate The annoying thing is that if you either get angry or upset it totally blows any chance you might have had out the window as I think they really feel the pressure then?
When I saw that scene with Alma & Orson in Desp Housewives I caught myself thinking not such a bad idea??? Insane!
Rah - did you ask me about the CB monitor yesterday? If you did I do find it helpful as another piece of the jigsaw of TTC and I find it comforting to get + results but obv it still has not gotten me a BFP so dunno!

Must run again -will catch up with everyone else later

Thanks everyone for all your support over the last few days!! Just what I needed

MrsMc - Yep, ever since Atilla said that about the hike, I have wondered about it I just can't see the science behind it happening without the hormones!

Fettle - I will try, as always, to keep positive And your story always spurs me on!

Rah - Thanks for letting me tag on Don't worry about slight variations month on month - that's natural, it's the overall pattern that needs to start making sense It's not easy half way through is it? There's nothing real to study

Gracie - I had noticed you were not far behind me! Fingers crossed you don't make it to cycle 8

Greedy - Of course you didn't make it harder for me!!

Yum - How's the PMA??

Seaside - Liking the look of your chart You got your "P" and your "+" so hope you are feeling a little more relaxed now?

Chocolate - I hope you are right, though, it was only 1 day longer in the end, and not the first time I've had a 13 day-er

Bit concerned about Minxi?? Did she say she was going away? Dying to know how she is getting on with the Clomid??

Big wave to all those I haven't mentioned

Dinner sounds nice 03...UMMMMM
We have the outlaws round for dinner tonight!

OK here is the problem... I am on day 16, thought I would of ovulated by now as had CM, mostly watery. Anyway no OPK + or Temp Hike yet, so definitely not happened. Except ferning is apparent...This TTC lark is very confusing.. It went perfectly last month, except for obviously conception...but thought it could be my body getting back into sink. Husband is away tomorrow night and he saying no to sex as feels under pressure, so did it once on Thursday and once Sunday and he says he is refusing to do it tonight when I moaned about him inviting his dad as it would interfere with BD. I'm getting so frustrated!

yum03creameggs · 03/04/2007 08:41

Rampant - My sweet dh does not drink wine normally either - he buys it for me, but not really good at choosing, I try to get it normally to ensure it is drinkable. I don't normally drink while ttc, so the selection was poor, and then I did not enjoy it - oh well, it will do for cooking. Mmm chicken and white wine sause for tonight me thinks!

Af due tomorrow and I am having mood-swings but the bucket-load. I thought that by not-temping I would obsess a little less, but no - still thinking about it.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

EasterRampantRAHbit · 02/04/2007 21:54

My hubbie does not like wine, so I get away with buy nice stuff...

I normally go and buy 3 nice French bottles a week... ..He would have a fit if he knew how much they cost...hehe

yum03creameggs · 02/04/2007 21:02

Thanks rampant - have done just that, well one glass not the whole bottle. Just wish dh had bought a decent bottle rather than just cheap plonk, is it not tasting that nice, but the effect should be the same!

EasterRampantRAHbit · 02/04/2007 20:06

Pour yourself a nice glass of wine... I just have and it all seems a bit better.... that is until I consume the bottle and then have to get up the next morning!

yum03creameggs · 02/04/2007 19:40

whoops - good job dh is not here with me, I have just beaten up the filing cabinet and broken it.... PMT is not a good thing, I am trying to debate whether a glass of wine would help or just make things worse???

yum03creameggs · 02/04/2007 17:36

AF due wednesday for me, trying to keep positive, and keep getting all the traditional phantom pg signals, but will just have to be patient and wait.

greedyforbabies · 02/04/2007 17:33
