rah- i cant help you on the opks i have tried them in the past but got thoroughly confused by the lines somedays id get a light line think i had ovd then another day itd be extremely dark so i gave up - which is why my lp has a ? because i dont actually know unless my temping works this month as i havnt had one successful month as it yet.

Hi all... finally got time to post... Such a busy easter bunny!

Just got home and did another OPK test and got a faint positive, so must mean I have hormone in my system.. Strange.. maybe I am still ovulating? How long does it take to release an egg? On a very positive side the OPK have worked for 2 months is a row, so maybe they do work for me and I can use them as a good guide for when we have to do the business and relax for the rest of the time...(Fingers crossed)

I know what you mean about sulking about pregnant women.. We were in the car the other day and this lad and girl walked in front of my car and she was heavily pregnant. I said 'great the scum of the earth get a baby and we don't...look at the state of them... it's not bloody fair'.. my dh said... you don't have a clue about those people and are basing your judgment on their wealth and cloths..they could be decent hard working people (I doubt it)... But I was so shocked I was embarrassed as I should stop judging people... What makes me such a great candidate for a mother over anyone else?? I just look at the fact that some people live off the social and I have worked hard..etc etc and deserve a baby more than them.. but in reality I suppose I a just looking for a victim and picking fault with everyone just because they have what I haven't.
There was a story posted on sands the other day about a girl that kept seeing a very heavily pregnant women and kept seeing her growing and about everywhere. She was so envious. But one day she went to visit her babies grave and the heavily pregnant women was there a couple of plots down visiting her own child. I suppose it is true you never know what anyone else is going through or
what they have been through in the past.

Re: your temps, my understanding is that OV is signified by a rise of 0.1 higher than the previous 6 temps - so with your high one on 7, the FF is not following that rule putting OV on 12 - IYSWIM? I would say that OV was more likely on 13 than 12.... but that's just me, I'm no expert that's for sure

Hi all - Day 2 in seasides house of confusion - FF is now saying I ov'd on CD12? had a temp rise on CD13 & 14 but biggest one has been today - I think the pos OPK is registering for CD12 - but only got the result at midnight so cant have ov'd that day surely and only got first peak on monitor on CD13?? might play around and move the pos opk to cd13 and see what occurs??

Mum03 - Sorry about the BFN, is your AF normally on time? Remember a BFN doesn't mean your not pregnant it may just take a couple more days to show up on a test.

Tested - BFN

Hi all, I have had a roller-coster day, not helped by going into the computer room and randomly picking one of 10 computers - and what came up on the backdrop - a huge face of a baby. I could not believe it, the same computer yesterday had a lovely picture of a field!!!! I was so shocked I almost ran out of the computer room screaming as I though I have finally lost the plot LOL! Anyway, today has been a day of switching between my heart and gut feelings and my head thoughts. My heart just wants to be pg, and my gut thinks I am, but my head realises that the likelyhood is low and that I really should be sensible about it all. I have been feeling nausious on and off today, but I realise that it can only be the progesterone in my system doing it as it would be too early for it to be hcg, and therefore it is not a reliable sign of early pg. My forgetfulness and clumsiness are both premenstral signs and pg signs, so that does not help either. My high temp could be due to stopping temping too early and mis-judging the ov day. The only thing that really could be a sign is the af-type cramps that I only ever get when af arrives or when pg! Oh why does the 2ww have to be such a head-wrecker! Anyway need to change the topic...

Rah - now be ultra nice to dh and make sure you seduce him enough so that he wants to shag on both thursday and friday night, don't tell him it is for trying to make a baby, just try to make him think it is all his idea to have a good shag after being away for business. I don't think thursday or friday are too late... hope that it works. But if not don't worry your half-hearted go this morning is still within the necessary time-frame. hth

chocolatedays - I wondered what had happened to snowy, I just want to wish you all the best with ivf, hope you will keep intouch with us here to let us know how you get on.

Rah - If you got a +ve today then I think that Thursday is pretty bang on!! And make sure to throw in a sesh on Friday too, for good measure. My understanding on OPKs is that the +ve indicates that OV will occur within 24-36 hours, so Thursday is definitely not too late!! Fingers crossed. Soften DH up nicely before he goes with promises of what he can expect on his return

Good Luck sunshine/snowy/chocolate days - please keep us posted on your progress - DH and I are in the process of referral and I am hoping to start IVF rollercoaster over the summer if no luck naturally by then. It all seems such a massive learning curve and I would appreciate all the advice I can get!

snowy/sunshine/chocolate days - just wanted to say good luck with the ivf. at the end of the day, if you get your little baby at the end of it does it really matter if it was natural or IVF? i just think it seems to be so successful for so many people you will get your baby before you know it. you certainly seem to deserve it.

Rah ? ok, so a positive means OV in the next 36 hours. Everything I have ever read says to go for it the day after OV just in case so seems to me that you still have 48 hours potentially.
