Ironing deserves chocolate!! Hope you are ok?

Ready · 20/04/2007 11:13

Honeyapple - That's lovely news about your scan. How very exciting, and like you say, worrying too - I am sure pregnancy is a very worrying time as well as exciting. Make sure you relax plenty. Listen to me, like I know what I am talking about
Don't feel that you posting would be annoying. Far from it, just because you are pg doesn't mean you haven't got plenty of valid things to say!
I ovulated 3 days ago, and I am pretty happy with the amount of sex we've had (9,11,13,15,16,17 so far) and we had already agreed that we weren't going to stop as soon as my temp rose. We are going to carry on every 2/3 days til CD1 or BFP, just like the doctors say

RahRah1 · 20/04/2007 11:09

Hi guys

Got to be quick, with old man at the office!
(my dad)

Took yesterday off, so need time to catch up on everything on the thread... Had such bad cramps and AF so just watched TV, did the ironing and ate chocolate...

Just had a quick flick through and looks like we might have our first BFP in months.... congratulations Beansprout! A line is a line! What is your normal cycle length?

Sorry- meant to say can NOW get excited...

honeyapple · 20/04/2007 10:59

Hi Ready,

I'm fine thanks. Had my nuchal scan the other week- all fine and healthy baby seen! Can not get properly excited (and worried) about it.

I really hope you are successful soon- do you feel happy about the amount of sex you had this month? Please don't stop just because your temp rise... worth keeping at it for a couple more days. The month I got my BFP I thought we had missed the boat and was quite cross with DP as he had got drunk- anyway we had a making up shag a couple of days after when I thought I oved- and I am sure this is when I got PG.

Lots of luck and relaxation and sex to all the rest,

xx

PS I do keep up with this thread, just don't post very often as I kind of feel it must be a bit annoying for you all.

Minxi - YAY! You are back! I have been worried about you! I know, I am still here, but I am trying very hard to graduate
Tell me more about your place for rent, and the website where I can look at it. We can?t have a holiday this year ? but hoping we can have one next year.
Glad to hear that you got on ok with the clomid, shame you had some arguments at the crucial time though But you seem very optimistic and chipper and that is great to see!! Glad you are back

Rah - WHERE ARE YOU???????

Seaside - WHERE ARE YOU???????

Cityangel - WHERE ARE YOU???????

MrsMcJnr - WHERE ARE YOU???????

Rattling - I hope I didn?t upset you with my at your DH?

Duchesse - Sorry to hear that you were without utilities yesterday! That?s got to be tough.

Beansrout - A line is a line isn?t it??? Are we allowed to get excited for you??

NappyValley - I like your 1 and 10 descriptions. How about - 2. I?ve managed to peel myself out of bed, but if anyone suggests getting dressed or brushing hair, I?ll be back there in a heartbeat!?
You forgot to move my DPO on one, but I?ll forgive you. Since it was your first go

Iwillbe - I?m with you petal, my children will never misbehave or throw tantrums
Well, I got a really strong line on the OPKs on CD14, but it wasn?t quite as dark as the control line. Then the next day it was faint again? so I assume if I had tested later on CD14 then I would have got a clear positive. I ovulated on CD16 so that would be about right for 36 hours?? I am not going to bother with them, I only wanted to use them just to confirm the temp shift ? but they just make me doubt myself. I should just trust my temp rise and relax.

Honeyapple - I hope you are right about the drought being over How are you?

I hope I haven?t missed anyone

honeyapple · 20/04/2007 10:31

WOW!!!! Beansprout! Congratulations! Why don't you believe the line?
Hooray! Finally, the drought has finished... now all your other BFPs will be rolling in.

Morning all, I hope I have done that right. Sorry if I haven't I still feel like I am at big school for the first time!

May the Pregnancy Fairy sprinkle you all with magic pregnancy dust today.

For those who have been feeling low over the last few days, how are you doing today??

I like to use a life coping scale of:
1 -I can't face getting out of bed today
10- I am on top of the world and could take on a charging Hippo

Maybe you could fill in the other numbers!

minxi · 19/04/2007 22:22

Hello girls, not been around for soooo long and my name is off the list I see....actually thats fine as I haven't temped once this month!! Since starting the clomid was away in Spain (new second home which if you want you can find on a few websites if anyone is interested to rent a beautiful place I will let you know!!)
barely know what date I am on - think I am cd 22 (just checked start date of last cd) did not have sex on the right days (I think)as had arguments with dh (stupid stuff) whilst taking drugs (clomid - just to be clear) (which incidentally were fine...felt great no dryness and pretty good so far) but think we may have covered it but do you know what feel bizarrely happy about it all may come back to temping next month just out of interest or may just temp this last week to see if temp tapers down last couple of days"!!!

Have read through a few messages and see sadly you are all still here ! Surely from law of averages there should be one bfp??! what is going on...
Rah saw this was a hopeful month for you but sorry to see you back on cd earlies!! Hope all is good soon

Seaside - when will the spells work ?Hope you are ok

MrsMcJ - sorry you are feeling down - hopefully its just down to your body and emotions whirring around that you are having a dodgy month!! this will be your month!!

Ready - what are you still doing here miss muffin curmpet maker you should be well on your way to making jams with couple kids on your hips! you homemaker you!

everyone else past timer me so just popping in!

oh p.s. fettle glad all is well with you..xx

howdie gals!!

mrsmcjnr - i want to send some massive hugs your way!! i am so sorry you are feeling down and i totally sympathise with you. i have always thought that you coped remarkably well and were putting on a brave face as it were, you are such an upbeat and positive person but you are allowed to have your down days. try not to fight what you are feeling. i have been there and it affected me about a month on and i was very down! let it out. i am here if you ever need to chat or just want to write down your feelings for a sympathetic ear. my email is loudini at hotmail dot co dot uk xxxx

ready - im not in the habit of borrowing children most of them i know are little horrors which is going to be the complete opposite to what my little darlings are going to be so your not getting on to well with opks? me either i never get a clear positive i always get faint ones which are clear enough if that makes sense, i just took the brightest faintest one i got and took it as a positive which coincided with my temp rise. i think it just depends on the actual opk - they are cheap afterall!!

cityangel - i am glad you feel you are getting somewhere its not nice discussing your personal business but needs must eh? the thing that bothers me about the doctors is a) i feel i wont be taken seriously becasue of my age even though not blowing my own trumpet i am a lot maturer and wiser than half the idiots out there and i feel i will be fobbed off with the old "your young you have plenty of time" and b) i am scared that they will find somthing wrong with me and we will never get to the finishing line (baby) which will drstically affect and question mine and dp relationship. its silly i know but i havnt cancelled yet...i am going to go!

i have had a lovely afternoon today a bit of retail therapy with the girls!! one of my best buds had a termination because of health issues with the baby and i had a good chat with her, she feels the same way as me and it was nice to chat with someone that understands in rl.

hello to everyone else xx

Hello all. No water or electricity (ergo no internet) here all day- it's only just come back on. They seem toe think that we yokels don't actually need utilities. We all keep coal in our bathtubs, y'know.

NappyValley · 19/04/2007 15:09

Rattling - mmmm recreational drugs that wake you chilled out and chilled out sperm. I hope he sees a link too.

Rah - hope you are feeling a little better and have made it back to Rahr status even if it is not a capital R yet. Why not go out for a meal this weekend and relax somewhere sunny and have a nice extra large glass of wine. Indulgence is the best possibility.

Ready - with you there. Making a baby is much more emotionally draining than having one. There is a sort of constant worry with a babe where as with making one it is the huge ups and downs and the maybe/maybe nots and the i'll just test in case. I got so cross with myself for wasting preg testers last year, that I have now banned myself from testing until I am at least 4 days late. ( we'll see) .

to all
Don't be afraid to give yourselves a month off trying. I did in March as I did not want a Crimbo babe. I felt a lot more relaxed going into it this month. I know, I know, I already have a baby so it is different and I know that the thought of a month off to many is a cardinal sin, but who knows a bit of "fun" is sometimes just what the Doctor ordered. Or maybe I am more relaxed for having found you gals???

mum03 · 19/04/2007 13:24

Ready - I knew before when I ov'd without temping, the temping just confirmed it for me, but I have to admit to taking temps three times already this month - so much for not charting for me!!!! I do honestly think it is making me more obsessed than I should be and need to relax more and just get together with dh when we feel like it (which at the moment is all the time )

I am definitely obsessed with mn - need to get out more!

Fettle - Hey! Good to see you! I love that you check on us every day. I hope you are keeping your fingers and toes crossed for us all! Unfortunately, DH?s movements are still up in the air. His agent called yesterday to say that there had been some interest, but that really doesn?t mean anything, so it?s best not to think about any possibilities. It?s tough. So you are a Forces Belle I worked for the MOD a few years back, and made a lot of military friends, so I know how unsettling it can be for all concerned. Are you settled for a while?

NappyValley Of course babies are not hard work! I know this for certain though ? making them is the hardest thing I have ever done!
Aw, I bet you were broody with the wee babies ? I know I would have been!

cityangel - Not sure if you saw my earlier post to you, after your appointment ? so here it is again ?It goes well Stop charting ? did he say why??? If you do give up temping, of course you have to stay on the thread!! We?d miss you if you went anywhere. Shame doc was dismissive of your luteal phase concerns, but I guess he knows what he is talking about! My GP said sex every 2/3 days, so I guess it is standard advice. Do you feel better for seeing the consultant? Big hug?

Seaside - Good to have you back! Argh at the charger, are they going to send it to you? It?s very strange the period (??) that you are having. Have you tested just to be sure? I mean, it does seem very light. I condone a test at this point How are your temps today?? Or did you not test?

Mum03 - Yep, I am in the 2ww again. And I suspect not for the last time. . I just don?t feel confident. Unlike me, I know. So how are you feeling? Do you think you will know when you have ovulated without temping?

Rah - How are you honey? I feel bad about not being about when you were low the other day. Hope that all is well. Big hug. If you dad is reading this ?hello Rah?s Dad!?

Rattling - Occasional drug use. Oh. That can have an effect on the sperm for sure. I hope that the results give him a kick up the bum. Bless your heart. I hope you are ok?

Everyone else. Hope all is well.

Seaside - I had a bizarre spotting only AF at the same time as mum03 a few months back. Was pretty sure it was AF as temps had dropped (not sure enough to not test though )

Had to deliver another sperm sample to the hospital this morning. Saw doctor yesterday and DH's last sample was a bit mediocre - loads of sperm, but only 35% with good motility (want 50%) and 8% good morphology (above 15% should be no problem, under 4% considered infertile). He was a bit upset by the news - will be interesting to see how that affects his attitude to taking the vitamins I supply and his drink and occasional recreational drug use.

mum03 · 19/04/2007 10:07

Rah -

Seaside - I had two months of those horrible "is it / isn't it" light af's - a real heartache. Obviously I hope that you got it all wrong and that you have just had an implantation bleed, but don't want to raise hopes falsely either... {{{hugs}}}

Ready - so you are in the horrible 2ww again...

Fettle and Greedy - , good to keep you as our support team here.

cityangel - do you think you will be able to give up charting as doc says???

I am currently in ov-time, shortly to enter 2ww, I have temped a couple of days, just to reassure myself!!!! LOL.

Hi everyone - I'm back home (phew) - but managed to leave my laptop charger behind - arghhh! we do have other computers as you can see - but my laptop is my mumsnet lifeline and always on my lap!!!

Rah so sorry the bitch is back - I keep thinking this disappointment should be getting easier but it is not. I am so fed up for you, me, all of us

Will try to catch up with everyone today.
Meanwhile I am very confused about my cycle - I haven't temped for a few days - just feeling a bit despondent about it But I am having a very weird AF - after my proclamations on Monday of CD1 it all stopped again - (TMI alert!!) so in the morning I got small blood trickle so assumed here we go CD1 - used tampax but by lunchtime - it was only a bit of brown CM so no more tampax and there was nothing at all not a spot until Tuesday afternoon then quite a gush of a red/brown flood then rest of that day and night seemed like proper AF cramping etc so with hindsight and as I usually get spotting preAF I shifted CD1 to Tuesday?? Then yesterday it was lighter not what I would usually get on CD2 - usually a bit heavier and then last night and this morning it seems to have stopped again?? Erratic light AF worries me

Hi everyone mixed feelings from Hospital trip - posted them on th echart spotting thread

Want to reach out to Iwillbe to say don't havng about with the initial consulations/ early checks.

There are seriously long waiting lists and a good discussion with GP/ referral can help moving forwards armed with knowledge.

Personal question here, are the tests/ admission of worry the barrier to moving forwards? Or are you hopeful that its too early for intervention? Either way I am really there with you. I had my first hospital appointment today and as I mentioned it was no walk in the park. But I prefer options and open discussion to waiting perhaps I should be renamed impatient cityangel

So we are low on BFPs for the last 2 months and everyone is off busy who is next and who is fed up off to the hut of doom?
