Hello I'm 23 and I've just had my implant removed last Monday. I'm taking pregnacare supplements, is there anything else I can do? Also when I started having sex at 16 I had about 2 years of unprotected sexual and never fell pregnant. Which looking back worries me a bit because my periods were always irregular and sometimes I couldn't go to work because they were so bad like sometimes I had sickness, extremely heavy bleeds, very painful, a temperature etc. I went to the Doctor but they said it was normal. Thanks in advance Smile

TTCI · 27/07/2017 06:51

I know Ive never been so excited to get my period lol!! Also I read on my flo app that you aren't meant to do an ovulation test in the morning! And I've been doing that this whole time xx

LouLouB1987 · 26/07/2017 22:47

@TTCI ahhhh brilliant! Start tracking your periods and symptoms and youre on your way. I use the Ovia app and it's working well. We've just ordered some cheapy ovulation tests to give that a go. Im due on Saturday 🙈 I don't think you can add people but feel free to keep posting on here. I will too ☺ xx

TTCI · 26/07/2017 22:14

LouLouB1987 · 25/07/2017 18:18

@TTCI it's sooooooo frustrating i know. I took me a good 5/6 weeks to settle back in to normal cycles after stopping the pill! Hope you get back to your normal soon 😊 Yea Im good, great support from my OH and family. Fingers crossed for us! Let me know how you get on xx

TTCI · 25/07/2017 17:08

@LouLouB1987 sorry! Just seen your post, that sounds really overwhelming! Hope you're dealing with it all ok. I'm on week 4 of having it removed and still no period lol. All ovulation tests negative aswell. Trying to have patience lol xx

LouLouB1987 · 21/07/2017 11:23

@TTCI I worried just the same. I was on the implant for years, started the pill two years ago to (in my mind) try and take back some control lol! I also had unprotected sex with one parner when I was younger and never got caught (luckily as I think back). Stopped my pill in January and have haf regular periods, like clockwork. It wasnt until then I started to wonder why I have never been pregnant. I was checked for everything with swabs and blood tests and all clear. Although I just just turned 30 so have my worries. Last cycle i was 8 days late, unheard of for me, so when AF came I felt so upset and like my body was letting me down. Someone at work has just gone through and abortion and another in early stages of pregnancy. I fell apart. I talked to my GP who gave me some great advice and a note for a few weeks off work. I found talking about how i felt, reading posts on here and trying to 'relax' about it has helped. It's very hard to relax, as its ALWAYS in the back of your mind. But speak up, vent, use the GP if needed. Just know your not alone Smile Hope things go well for you xx

MunchyMunchkin · 21/07/2017 03:34

I really wouldn't worry too much about your fertility based on all that unprotected sex in your teens. You may just have been avoiding the crucial 5 days every month. Particularly if it fell midweek. That plus your irregular periods would make it less likely to get pregnant anyway.

Might take a month or two for cycles to settle post implant. Just have lots of sex and try not to worry.

Aneta553 · 21/07/2017 03:25

@TTCI omg, really darling? that sounds even worse :(

TTCI · 14/07/2017 08:06

I know @Aneta553 I think about it a lot too. I'm sure on some level it does though. I have a meeting later in today with my boss so I think I'll bring it up to her because it's affecting my home life (I'm getting bullied at work). Xx

Aneta553 · 13/07/2017 23:36

Anyone who has had experience that can prove it could tell me their experience about it, Thanks!!!

Aneta553 · 13/07/2017 23:27

What TTCI is pointing out is something that has haunted me a lot since I notice that I was having difficulties trying to have a baby.

Having a lot of stress accumulated is something that has become kind of natural since I work as a lawyer. I even sometimes on some periods of the year suffer from a hair lost due to the amount of stress I'm handling at the time. But I now have to question more directly, because if it is that way, I'll have to change things in my routine.

If someone knows anything about it please let me know! I read some texts in internet but none give me an answer.

Lots of hopes and the best of lucks to everyone! xxxx

TTCI · 13/07/2017 21:55

Also does stress affect fertility as much as they say or not really? I'm going through a big work problem just now so was just wondering x

TTCI · 11/07/2017 21:44

This is what I'm taking x

Thank you everyone for your kind advice and words. It's just hard when you want something as bad as this and it's so strong that I'm just desperate to be a mum. I watch OBEM just to get some sort of mum fix lol xx

MouseLove · 11/07/2017 14:08

Don't worry you're going through a complete body change and it's normal to doubt your fertility. It's good that you are taking folic acid, ideally you need to be doing this for 3 months before you start to TTC and in this time use it as a way to track your cycles. The first one off birth control is always a hard one as you will have every pregnancy symptom going. Good luck!! Try to chill. 😎

demirose87 · 11/07/2017 12:48

It's definitely chance. My first and fourth children I got pregnant with on first month of trying. My second and third took over a year, so don't be disheartened x

TTCI · 11/07/2017 12:25

I'm just worried I can't conceive that's all. Very sorry again xx i had an implant for 2 years then I had it removed last Monday. And they stop you from having periods so I've not had a period in two years xx

Stardustandicecream · 11/07/2017 12:23

Don't worry- things can come across wrong online - I wasn't attacking you - sorry if it came across as that. I wouldn't worry about the not getting pregnant at that age - chances are if it was just the odd times then you would have been doing it at the wrong time of the month.
As another pp see how you go for a few months and then go to gp after 6-12 months if it hasn't happened. Most people it'll happen for in the first 6 months but for me it was first attempt for my first child and my friend took 2 years! My second child took much longer - it's just chance sometimes

demirose87 · 11/07/2017 12:19

Do you have regular periods now? It's easy to track your fertile days if you know your own cycle, but ovulation sticks can give more accurate result. clearblue digital with the smily face are good. Apart from that, take folic acid and make sure you're having regular sex throughout your cycle, but focus on your fertile days x
