Jumping on the crazy train for the first time... ALL ABOARD FOR THE 2WW!

Firstly I must apologise to all you mumsnetters... I've been a lurker for a while and have never understood the craziness surrounding the 2WW until today! Have literally just ovulated yesterday on our first round of TTC and I've already been symptom spotting/furiously checking and rechecking my calendar and Ovia app like a pro!

Logically I know that there is literally no chance of any symptoms yet and DEFINITELY no need to POAS for the next 10 days at least, but there's another (much louder it seems) part of me that keeps thinking that the reason I'm so bloated/gassy (seriously what is up with that?!) or keep dropping my keys/knocking everything over or these cramps are obviously due to the fact I must be pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️.

So to stop me going completely around the bend, I thought I'd ask if anyone is due to POAS around the 21st of July? If so, do you want to wait with me? All those who have done this before, feel free to leave me tips on how not to think about this 24/7!

Im still trying to find out my OD this is my first cycle trying but according to the app i can test in 11 days but once i find out my OD ill wait 14 days after that

Yes that be good idea and sure if AF hasnt came while your away you can always test again when you get back

@LMX0 @WaitingTillJuly17 Thanks! I'm going to use my first response on Friday and see what it says. At least if BFN I can try and forget about it for a week!
When are you two testing? Fingers crossed for you both!

Boowaitingfirababy we are in the same boat!! Its so hard not to get carried away esp with symptom spotting!!! Yes that will be hard could you even do it just before a shower to give you a little time to compose yourself? You can get some that are meant to detect early? Think some are from 5 days before AF

Welcome Boo I think if it were me I would test before I went otherwise I would be totally distracted on hols if AF didn't show! I got my bfp 3 days before AF was due on a FRER but it was still bfn on the cheapy I had until the day before AF was due just to warn you so a bfn might not actually be a bfn if you test with a cheapy! Let us know how you get on!

@LMX0 Thank you! I think I might sneaking try and test on holiday (3 couples are sharing 1 static caravan so I don't know how much privacy I'll have if it's not the result I want, that's all! Or even if it's the result I want how I'll not tell everyone there and then haha)
I might do I cheap test before and see what it says as it will be 3 days before AF due and I still have an ERFR from last cycle!
Just wish I could stop thinking about symptoms ha I feel like a crazy person!!

Boowaitingforababy welcome!!! If it was me id test after hols as if you test early you may not get a correct result or take a test with you!! I dont think i could wait until after the hols and id prob not enjoy myself as much thinking about it

Hello! Can I jump in?

I'm a week into the 2WW and I am symptom spotting like a crazy person!! Sore boobs, mild cramping yesterday and hungry like a monster but I did this last month and think I was so stressed about it AF ended up being 3 days late!
And I'm going on holiday with family so won't be able to test for 2 more weeks if AF doesn't rear its ugly head!

Advice please: would you A, test 3 days before AF due or B, wait until after holiday?

It would be amazing if it happened! However with this being my first cycle of trying I'm not holding my breath haha!

And yeah!!! The wind is relentless! Like you said surely it can't be this bad all the time haha

Hi there CharChar 👋 How lovely if you manage to have a baby around your mums birthday ❤️. The wind is worrying isn't it?! I couldn't work out if it was a symptom or if I was always like that and had just started paying more attention 😂😂😂 our poor DH's!

Hi there everyone! I hope you don't mind me joining in?
I am hoping you all get BFP soon!!
Me and DH are TTC, we are on cycle 1.
I think I'm currently 3dpo however still DTD just in case I ovulate late!
Cervix feels high...still getting some EWCM. Lost my mum last October, and if I concieved this month then the due date would fall around mums birthday!
Very bloated and gassy (sorry tmi)...some slight cramping on and off. Hmmm Here's to hoping!! Xx

I hope not HellsBells how many dpo are you? Could it have been a last minute implantation? Plus a late ovulation, might have been a full 48 hours after your OPK then up to 24 hours for fertilisation? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

So I tested day after AF due, BFN. Was a bit taken aback. And just tested again today. BFN too. So no AF and no BFP...still feel sick and sore but now a little crazy. Am I imaging this all :(

I'm due to test tomorrow ladies, I think it'll be a BFN this month but I'm holding out a little hope.

I saw a rainbow on the way home today, I've got my fingers crossed.

Congrats bumpkin and waiting, v pleased for you!
So, I put down the preg tests this week and AF got me today, not a big surprise. I have dairy milk and my fluffy cat on my lap to dull my disappointment. DH admits to feeling the same, so I only hope we catch soon!
Baby dust to the rest of us trying. CD1 and it starts again....

No signs. I'm due AF on Wednesday, and DH will be away with work Wednesday night, so nothing comes by Friday morning I'll test then. I'm pretty much working on my own on Wednesday and Thursday so I'm already planning on having a couple beers and a chippie dinner when I get it!
FX for you that nothing happens today.

No, I didn't want to call until next week. AF due today and no sign as yet 🤞. Not quite sure what the process is in my area as some places you see the GP but others you book straight in with the midwife. I didn't think they retested you as pregnancy tests are so accurate now. When will you be testing HolyShmoly any more signs?
