GP says we do it through her in the first instance before getting refered to assisted conception centre (was going to abbreviate that to ass. con. unit - kind of appropriate considering how I feel!)and she said could only be day period came or next day at a push. went to see her on day 3 and she said it was too late.
Anyway, please call me what you wish nothing offends.

Not sure if this will help and you may already know this....but the bloods can be taken day 2 or 3, with day one being the first day you bleed pre midday. (so if you don't get you period until say 2pm on a Monday then Tues is you day 1) also a lot of clinics will do bloods on weekends - especially if they are Assisted Conception units as blood tests are needed for IVF/ICSI patients. HTH.

Dp did actually ask me over the weekend what, if we were to be lucky this mont, we would call the LO.....you kow, like Paris, etc. He asked as we were strolling down the Champs Elysee, so I said Elysee for a girl or Champs for a boy!!

Brought you lots of party rings and flumps left over from the 80s themed hen weekend I've just got back from.
Feeling generally fed up of FTC and fed up of my body not playing ball on the right days. Have been waiting since March for my period to come on a weekday so I can have blood tests done and it's not happening. Came on on a sat, then good fri then this fri (when halfway to hen w/e) so haven't been able to get to docs for cd1/2 tests for 3 months. Now we have another month of waiting. Fed up because we know we need assisted conception (DH had his tests ages ago and they weren't good) but I need my tests done at gp's before we can be referred for treatment. Fed up of the 'system', especially as we decided 3 months ago to go for tests because - yes you've guessed it - we were fed up of waiting to get pg!

Freakily landed myself a new job (perfect timing to coincide with IVF - ho-hum) - so my posting will soon be stricyly eves. Damn.

Hi all. Just had a quick read thru and see everyone is as gloomy as ever....just the way I like it!
Got back from Paris yesterday. Dp had promised me loads of sex cos we got rid of the kids on CD13, got to Paris on CD 14 and came home yesterday on CD17. With my 30 day cycle I thought the timing was fantastic and was really looking forward to spending hours in bed like in the old days pre-children. However, dp didn't quite manage as planned! I think the pressure was too much for him cos he kept saying how exhausted he was and how he didn't think he could manage it. So sex twice the whole weekend, CD14 and CD15. I know that is still good timing, but had really wanted at least 1 shag a day to cover it.
And to top it off, we had a fab time in Paris but the second we got home Dp turned back into "Home Mode" and became a grumpy arse!!
Oh, and pg bearded dragon is getting huge! I reckon she'll lay her eggs by the weekend!!!

Hi folks, sorry that Ive not been around for a while, work is a nightmare and I just couldnt get to the computer -even late at night!

Sorry to see you leave Eclipse, but dont worry when you feel ready to return i am sure to be here still. Im going to take up quiet residence in corner of hut on cosy cushions. I just feel like a duvet day and cant cos work is just horrible at the moment. Well nothing exciting has happened to me - boring life and all that - still on the FTC front but now on weird cocktail of vitamins (10 tabs a day) to see if that makes a difference. Just picked up a fertility test from Boots too - has anyone tried them (24.99 )and you pee on it on day 3 to see if your egg reserve is good that month?? I thought then, I would know on day 3 whether to even bother with the whole TTC and 2 week wait . Other news is Ive got my follow up of FTC via IVF this month so that could open a can of worms too...so will keep quiet in the corner (if you dont mind?) and sup some of Eclipse's booze til then.....take care all

It's all immaterial now. As normal I'm successfully not pregnant. And we've given it our best shot for a year and the stress, build-up and eventual disappointment is getting too repetitive and soul-destroying so I've decided to duck out now and stop actively ttc/ftc. I have ds and while I'd love him to have a sibling, the disappointment of perpetual failure and constantly wishing so much time away is not fair on him or even on dh. So, I'll unload the contents of this small truck of knock-off booze and wish you all well and many thanks for all the support.
