Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

I quite like the move - gives us another themed place to get used to.

So - if you are right to be pessimistic are you goind to look into treatments?

duchesse · 10/05/2007 16:02

Pistachois!!! Salted? Yum! Thanks. Since this is still a desert tent, we ought to have some dates as well I reckon. Although we will have to move huts soon...

Slice of lemon or lime?

Oh... and here are some posh nibblynobs to munch on. Toasted alsmonds, cashews, pistachios. mmmmm.

duchesse · 10/05/2007 15:56

Yeah, go on then. As long as I can have one of those little paper parasols in it too.

Cheers!

Damn. How annoying - fancy an early G&T?

duchesse · 10/05/2007 15:48

My camel's humps are going down. Is that a bad sign?

OP posts:
Chocolatedays · 10/05/2007 12:18

Eurovision Oui
Camels Non

feedmenow · 10/05/2007 11:59

Soreheart, are those eurovision points for me? Oooh, how v. exciting (actually NOT meant sarcastically!!).
Choccie, is it OK to be upbeat and excitable about eurovision points whilst remaining gloomy about camels??

Chocolatedays · 10/05/2007 09:12

Frivolous is good IMO.... just hope for Duchesse is out of bounds!!!! .

Soreheart · 09/05/2007 23:07

Suspect I'm being a bit frivolous. No insults intended. Spending too much time on my own this week. . . . .

Soreheart · 09/05/2007 23:03

And douze pointes for timing (as it's eurovision coming up).

Soreheart · 09/05/2007 23:02

Holy Moley MOG, I'm now overwrought with glumness for my errors on the new job identification process. Oh woe, oh woe.

(was that the sort of thing, Chocolatedays?)

Chocolatedays · 09/05/2007 21:01

Hi Soreheart - it's me starting a job - slap bang in the middle of pumping my body full of IVF drugs - points for timing please.

Anyone heard a peep from Impatienc? - Hope she & DP are well (You lurking Impy?)

Now fellow hut dwellers - I need to have a word about Duchesse. I think I may have created a monster! Look down the thread and see that Duchesse (our illustrious leader & founder) has saught sanctuary in the hut to get away from "too much hope" elsewere - we owe it to her to be glum and pessimistic. Get to it gals.

feedmenow · 09/05/2007 20:47

Do camels humps get tender and big when they are pregnant? DUCHESSE!! Over here, love.......

feedmenow · 09/05/2007 20:46

Thank you for the every-2-days reassurance soreheart, but I didn't know anything about having a new job Maybe someone should have told me about this cos I was doing OK in my "old" job Oh, hang on a cotton-pickin minute! The new job stuff is Chocciedays!

Soreheart · 09/05/2007 17:36

Weeell, Duchesse and her camel, eh? It IS exciting. I do hope it's a bean. Duchesse, if it is, can I recommend buying a lotto ticket as well?
If I buy a lotto ticket will I get pregnant?
You can see how the logic works, can't you?
Magnolia, bloods on day 2/3 where I live / with my GP..not sure that's helping but did get a result that seemed to keep everyone happy that I was doing what I was meant to be doing. Which makes a change (thought I'd get in there first on that one).
FMN, congratulations on the new job and my fertility expert said ONLY go every other day to get best possible sperm. So, you may have accidently been 'on the money'! Crossing fingers.
Oddly optimistic for everyone now. We can ALL DO IT. All of it. The whole thing. 'Ray.

beansprout · 09/05/2007 12:24

Ooh, yes please! Will take you up on that now that the little bastards are doing an encore. Will do it tonight as firewall won't let me access msn from work (they're not stupid). Thankyouverymuch.

duchesse · 09/05/2007 11:45

beansprout! I was doing some tidying of boxes that have been hanging for ...far too long... and found the meece scarer! If you still want it, could you email me your address again please as I seem to have lost it. Sorry.

Mags, just to echo what Choccie has said, I recently saw my doctor about FTC and she said I need to go on day 3 for bloods. I also have to have them taken at the local hospital which is convenient because I can just drop in whenever. Is there any chance of you seeing another doctor at your surgery seeing as this one clearly doesn't know what they are talking about?

keeping my fingers very crossed for Duchesse, how exciting>

nomoremagnolia · 08/05/2007 21:50

So I hereby resolve to go to the docs on their next open day after period arrives and swear to them it's day 2 regardless.
You are all my witnesses (and accomplices) to this.
Will go see if there are any more flumps in my suitcase seeing as they were so popular.

beansprout · 08/05/2007 21:28

Fair enough Duchesse. Come and slump with us and be suitably pessimistic.

I was supposed to see the doc tomorrow (I booked to see when I got my bfp, ha ha), but have cancelled it. Am in the middle of shag week so am trying to feel optimistic but if no joy this month (surely not! what are the chances?!) I will go along for the ftc in a year chat. Whatever that means.

I love the Flumps btw. Sadly, the theme tune is the ring tone on my phone

duchesse · 08/05/2007 21:24

Outside the hut I mean.

OP posts:
duchesse · 08/05/2007 21:24

retreats to comfort hut

Too.much.hope. Can't cope!

OP posts:
feedmenow · 08/05/2007 20:30

Oooh, choccie, what naughty advice you give, telling people that the medical profession are not always right!!! We could have a revolt on our hands!
Well, all crossed for Duchesse's camel then and I agree, lets hope she's never back. Although wasn't it Duchesse who built this place and welcomed us all in with open arms?

Chocolatedays · 08/05/2007 20:04

Bean & FMN - she's not had a positive yet... but it is sounding promising. In the nicest possible way I hope she never enters the hut again!!

Mags - Sadly I'm becoming a bit of an old had at ttc... and GPs are often wrong - next time go for day2/3 and just tell her it is day 2. (Day one is too early)
