Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

Well I would lovel to know if we have any hut graduates as I never venture onto other threads. I have been wondering where some of the regulars have dissapeared to and hoping that maybe it was because they have got their BFPs.

Congratulations Ambi

Chocolatedays · 04/04/2007 16:12

That's great news!

Pass the bottle - (I was going to suggest champagne - but is that a bit too frivolous for the hut?)

Been speaking to the hospital - and this is my last cycle before IVF. (though won't know the outcome until June - it takes much longer than I had expected. Scary. Exciting. Yet sad I haven't been able to do this naturally.

Catbabymummy · 04/04/2007 15:46

What the hell, any excuse for a drink.
LAdies, commence swigging!!

Impatience · 04/04/2007 15:02

oh good for her! When did she test? She was just in here yesterday masquerading as a FTCer! Ambi, congrats!

Bbabymumma · 04/04/2007 14:51

Should I wait until she says? I don't think she'd mind. If she does she can come in here and choke me with babydust. It's Ambi. Done 2 tests - both BFPs!! One wasn't even in the morning.

Impatience · 04/04/2007 14:38

If it's anyone who's posted on here I'd love to know they got pregnant. Who is it?! But I wouldn't want everyone coming by slapping me in the face with 'oh I wasn't even trying, lucky me!'

Come on, spill the beans: who of our hut got pregnant? (I don't go anywhere near those other threads.)

Chocolatedays · 04/04/2007 14:30

Hi all - still far to upbeat to take a seat (don't worry - it won't last).

Rather like the idea of a Hut Alumni Games Room - they could pop in, fess up, and donate something appropriate (eg a Pregnancy Punchbag, Up the Duff Dart Board, etc).

If they have some pearl of wisdom as to where babies come from I'd be all ears (maybe they snorted a stash of that babydust stuff )- BUT any sign of a winge about being pg will be stamped on... IMNSHO.

Bbabymumma · 04/04/2007 13:38

Can we mix JD's and champagne? - always worth a try. Don't smack yourself too hard eclipse - no self harming in here.

Babydust sounds a bit like babybollox. Such a horrid old cynic....but there is cause to celebrate.

eclipse · 04/04/2007 13:29

Sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned the babydust word - slaps self hard across face. Bbabymumma, I'm not sure how it's defined or even typed but it's like fairy dust, you sprinkle it around and the fairies come, or babies in this case, or some such nonsense. Anyway, the only dust allowed in the hut is a virtual white powder you snort rather than sprinkle.

Did you mention champagne? It'll probably go well with my Jack Daniels. See you in the corner.

Bbabymumma · 04/04/2007 13:23

I was aware of this too and didn't want to 'out' them but am absolutely delighted for them. I was thinking of bringing in a sneaky bottle of champagne and hiding in the corner with it.

What is bloody babydust?

eclipse · 04/04/2007 13:16

Hi, all. Bit gloomy today. Spent yesterday buying lots of pressies for people who've just had their babies and got a bit soppy over the baby dresses. Saddo.

Bit scared at the thought of a meet up. I'm sure some of you are quite nice in real life but there are those who are probably exactly like their mn personas. I'm not grumpy in RL, just plain unpleasant.

I've got a question for you all. Do we have a hut/tent etiquette for the rare occasion of any hard-core tenters getting a BFP? I've lurked on a few other threads recently and there have been a few (I'm not going to out them). I personally feel delighted when our kin hit the jackpot and think any excuse for a knees up (for any whose knees aren't already up) should be embraced. It doesn't mean the lucky ones have to bring a trail of babydust or tell us all we'll be next, etc. How do others feel?

Bbabymumma · 04/04/2007 09:37

Morning hutters

Particularly grumpy today because dd did not sleep well. Infact dd has never slept well. Convinced myself at 3.30am that we can't conceive because we haven't had a proper nights sleep for a long time and so our bodies are exhausted and there's nothing we can do about it. Rational??

Catbabymummy you're not fat! Look at you. A small slip of a thing. Go sit in the steam room of stagnation and sweat it off.

Impatience - I get sore boobs before every AF and everytime I eagerly rush out and buy a test cos it 'has to be a sign'. It's so dull. I'm surprised my dh hasn't strangled me by now.

Ambi I'm a miserable old b*tch too. Could you imagine how much fun we'd have if we all met up??

Soreheart - book one of those massages

Catbabymummy · 04/04/2007 07:05

Morning fellow FTCers.
Yes there is a place for drinks in the Jacuzzi!
I'm feeling disgustingly fat atm, know I need to exercise but haven't got the time due to silly working hours. I look pregnant without being pregnant yuck. And my dh is losing weight without even trying the bastard...

Impatience · 03/04/2007 20:56

Ambi, I am a grumpy old cow in RL. It's only in here that I get the space to say what I'm grumpy about!

And Soreheart, don't worry, I haven't become totally reasonable! I feel calmer, but I still aint pregnant, am I? After HOW many months? AAAAaaaaarrrggghhhhh And I feel crampy, about 5 days before period due. As always. And for once I am NOT quietly hoping that this is early pregnancy. Look, I'm a pretty intelligent woman, and every frigging month I get cramps about 5 days before period due, and I get my period. Even a pigeon would have learnt this correlation by now. Good grief I need to just get over this little fantasy that I might conceive. Harrumph.

Soreheart · 03/04/2007 18:31

Blimey, Impy, you are most reasonable today , must be your hormones. Ahahaha. EWCM? HMMOG, I had no idea what this acronym was, I feel so naive sometimes. EWCM is a sign of ovulation, then? OK. I'll have a look then, shall I? hold on......errrr...no.
Nice jealous jacuzzi sounds like a lovely idea, overdid the gardening and so my shoulders are really sore. I always do this, you'd think I'd have worked out when to stop by this age. Oooohhh...jacuzzi, lovely and certainly allowed in with ickle drinkie

Ambi · 03/04/2007 17:29

That's what I was getting at Impatience, if much more eloquently put. Oh dear, I didn't intend to lighten the mood of the hut, feel free to continue to rant.

(I rant enough in RL not to require the hut most of the time, but maybe I have it the wrong way round, as I bet many of you are cheery laydeez once grievences have been aired in the hut, I'm however a moody bitch most of the time but feel decidedly cheery on MN, how bizarre?!?)

Bbabymumma · 03/04/2007 16:12

and the pic is still there they didn't remove it? I'm off to find. I was in March - I obviously missed it.

I totally agree Impatience. It makes me feel reassured and less mad. I can imagine there are a lot of people out there who don't want to talk about their ttc adventures once they get the bfp.

off to find the pic....

Impatience · 03/04/2007 15:58

sideways, your ovulation might have been delayed from stress, illness, tiredness etc, and you might only be revving up now. Get to it! This would mean that your period would be later too. So prepare yourself for that agony

I agree with this theory that people might be kidding themselves how long it took to conceive, even if they're not outright lying. Someone who had sex without contraception for a year without particularly stressing about what was going on might feel that that year passed pretty quickly, and didn't even notice that it had taken so long. Us obsessed bunnies notice every month and could probably say how many had passed without pausing to work it out... Also, of all those pregnant aquantainces who we don't know well enough to hear the delicate details, how many of them, once luxuriating in their bfp states, will then want to tell the world just how long it took? Perhaps they gloss over it because it's over and want to just get on with pregnancy, rather than trying to make themselves look better.

This is actually making me feel quite a bit better now. It isn't changing the fact that I'm not bloody pregnant, but it is making me a little less angry about everybody else's apparant ease of conception.

scorpio1 · 03/04/2007 15:55

march mad hatters (one with 1000 messages) at bottom of thread

it is gross

scorpio1 · 03/04/2007 15:50

i found that pic!! its in april or march ttc under my name [proud]

Bbabymumma · 03/04/2007 15:50

fantastic!!! That wasn't in the hut? couldn't imagine that in the hut? I might do a search for that. She had actually taken a photo of it??

Ambi · 03/04/2007 15:43

Bbaby, ewcm = Egg White Cervical Mucous. There was a link flying around with some random woman showing off hers... was pretty gross.

Bbabymumma · 03/04/2007 15:06

I like the name fanjo junk.
So what does cm indicate - ov? Its very annoying. Have more of it since dd.

Bbabymumma · 03/04/2007 15:04

and what is ewcm? I think I know what it is but can't work out the letters.

Off to get a morose massage in the jacuzzi of jealousy. Will they let me take my vodka in?

Catbabymummy · 03/04/2007 15:00

Cm= cervical mucus. A alternative hut name could be Fanjo gunk!
