Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

Feedmenow - you rock, sister!!!

Impatience - Ooh I'm very excited, not just one baby but two! If you are and your dp get pregnant how wonderful it will be for you to share the experience together. There are quite a few men who are curious to know what it's like being pregnant, it's one of the things that you really do have to experience for yourself - my dh admits to being quite jealous when i was pregnant. Ha, a bout of constipation and m/s will soon put them right...

seaside72 · 06/04/2007 20:20

Impatience - I dont think you are mad at all - I think I already said I would go for it if it were me! It will kind of be like having twins? and lots of people do that and survive (just!) I am a bit of a fatalist and think what will be will be - and maybe this is meant to be for you and DP! (Wish I could be so calm and cool about my own FTC )

feedme - PMSL at your youtube link - Brilliant A stirling performance from a huttee!! Thankyou for the belly laugh- I will have to give stair surfing a go! (hope the carpet burns are clearing up )

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 20:04

I'm a follow your heart and panic later kind of gal!

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 20:03

Honest opinion Impatience? I'd have done exactly the same as you!

eclipse · 06/04/2007 19:39

Impatience, if you're both up the duff together at least you'll be able to remain in the hut out of panic and terror at the thought of coping with two screamers at the same time (and I'm only referring to the babies there).

feedmenow, I remember the olden days when I'd wake up after a night on the tiles and compare unidentified drinking injuries with my friends as we tried to piece together our movements of the night before to work out how we acquired them. I thank the lord I didn't wake every weekend morning to see my antics on youtube. It's nice to see that your friends, rather than take you aside and suggest bodysurfing down the stairs is not your best idea to date, reach for their phones and film you for prosperity.

On a ttc note, all those who lie on their backs with their legs in the air after a shag to get the little swimmers heading in the right direction, might want to try bodysurfing down the stairs. It occurs to me it might be even more effective, with all the upside down bumping. Just a thought...

Impatience · 06/04/2007 19:30

Yes Sideways, I will test in the morning. I'll let you know!

Beckle, the first test I used was a strip test from Access Diagnostics, but the other 3 () have been the Superdrug own brand which someone said weren't great. Hopefully the postman will bring my ultra sensitive ones from AD tomorrow.

Give me your honest opinion: Do you think we are completely insane for risking two simultaneous pregnancies? We're both really wibbling about it now...

BeckleSpeckledEgg · 06/04/2007 19:14

Blimey Impatience - what a rollercoaster for you at the moment! Are all the tests you have used the same brand? You are still slightly early for testing aren't you? Sounds promising to me but must be sooo frustrating for you. Good luck with DP's insemination, hopefully it will all go well! I think if the pressure is off of you then that definitely helps. When we were TTC DS2 and were waiting for our second consultant appt I was convinced it wouldn't happen before then so just sat back and waited IYSWIM. Found out I was 10 weeks pg a week before appointment date! Still think it is because I took the pressure off of myself.

Feedmenow - stairsurfing is class!!!

sideways · 06/04/2007 19:13

Bloody hell impatience, tis sounds agonising for all concerned.

Are you doing another test in the morning (ie. so I can find out before I go)???

Impatience · 06/04/2007 18:47

More drama in the House of Impatience. Before dp went to do her insem this afternoon I did another test. This time an excrutiatingly pale eye-squinter of a line appeared within the 10mins, then faded a few mins later. What the hell does THAT mean?! (Shall look up the peeonastick goddess, she'll know.) Anyway, it was still so impossibly faint that it could have been just a thing that happens with the test. Like this morning's, it was the kind of line only a desperado saddo would have detected. So, after all these months and years of discussing and playing with fantasy futures and planning etc we had to make a snap decision at the top of the stairs because dp had to leave when the test's 10mins were up. We decided she should go. So we've taken The Risk. What a truly bizarre situation.

feedmenow · 06/04/2007 15:46

I got carpet burns above my belly button!! Boobs didn't start hurting til Sunday/Monday, but it was still worth it IMO!!
Impy, I really, really hope this is it for you...what a fantastic easter pressie to you both this could be!
To anyone thats off on some sort of jolly over the weekend, have fun and see you back here safe, sound and miserable as f**k after the weekend!

eclipse · 06/04/2007 13:00

feedmenow, that was an outstanding performance. You rule the hut. That's the sort of thing that'll come back to haunt you when you're running for prime minister, but I'd definitely vote for you.

Chocolatedays · 06/04/2007 12:45

PMSL Feedmenow. Oh god, I'm now going have to try that one myself next time I get bladdered.... but didn't it hurt your boobs??

Impy. Here is and empathetic ARRRRGGGHHHH for you.

Re: last night's discussion about erotic dreams.... well I think I must have been thinking about Impy as I had bonkers girl on girl action dream last night. LOL!

Impatience · 06/04/2007 10:37

Feedmenow: very impressive slide!

Now back to me . I am usually 28 days, with LP 14 or 15 days. Today is day 28 but I think I ov'd a bit later than normal, so I'm expecting my period Sat, Sun or possible even Monday (groan). Have been feeling very crampy the last couple of days, more than normal pre-period, and not quite the same. But of course there's always the possibility that I'm making all this up! No sign of period today, and temp still up, but of course perhaps it's not supposed to be here yet. A sensible person would just ignore it all till Monday, and if no period on Monday, get excited and do a test. Oh no, not me, every morning on a bit long runup to period I say.

Yes, probably just like the buses. But if sods law gets me pregnant I won't complain!

Enjoy your super-long weekend girls. FMN, watch your neck on those stairs!

sideways · 06/04/2007 10:27

feedmenow - I like it .

Impatience - I will probably be without internet access for a few days over Easter, so please can you hurry up and find out one way or the other . I won't be able to relax if I don't know.

EasterRampantRAHbit · 06/04/2007 09:39

Hi all... Impatience, Best of luck really hope AF stays away and you were not hallucinating! I know what you mean though, I have stared and stared at a test before and see a very faint line... only for it to be my imagination. But if your DP saw it too, then maybe it was there. Really hoping for you and hope DP insemination goes well... like Seaside said...you wait all this time and then two might come along at the same time

feedmenow · 06/04/2007 09:22

Yeh!!

feedmenow · 06/04/2007 09:21

Oh bugger! The link didn't work! Let me try again...
Feedmenow tackles the stairs!

feedmenow · 06/04/2007 09:20

Exactly what I was about to ask, Impy....when was/is af due? Will you get post today? I didn't think they delivered on bank holidays? You'll HAVE to go to Boots and buy one surely?

Now, who requested a link....? I do this purely for the sake of the sanity of all hut dwellers.....

\link{}

(Have never quite sussed this out so don't know if it will work!!

yum03creameggs · 06/04/2007 09:06

Impatients - just wanted to say that I feel the frustration, but a faint illusionary line at 12/13dpo is good, better than a bfn, how long is lp for you normally, when is/was af due??

seaside72 · 06/04/2007 08:53

Well it is not a definite negative and no sign of AF - which is great! keeping everything crossed Impatience.
Maybe pg in your house will be like the buses - wait forever for one and then two come along at once?

eclipse · 06/04/2007 08:29

Oh, no. So I've got to hobble around all day with my toes, fingers and legs crossed. Dh will guess something's up.

Impatience · 06/04/2007 08:13

Already had a fair bit, and I don't really do chocolate!

beansprout · 06/04/2007 08:12

Impy - so sorry you are still being tortured. Arrgghhh! Will keep everything crossed for a test arriving today that gives you a nice juicy line

Right, now, just how much chocolate are we going to scoff in this here hut over the weekend?

Impatience · 06/04/2007 08:06

Morning pee update: Inconclusive. At risk of repeating myself: AAAaaaaarrrrrgghhhh!!

We were very good and stopped looking at the test before its 10mins deadline, and we could see a blue line but it was incredibly faint and really was a squint-job. I'm sure no normal person would have seen it.

So, although I know that any line is a line, I do also think that the test makers didn't intend for that kind of scrutiny. This line may be verging on hallucination/delusion.

I'm sure you'd all like to know that I've saved my pot of first morning pee so that if there is a post today and my ultra sensitive tests arrive I can torture myself again.

Dp is set to insem this afternoon, so there we go, taking the risk. It's so odd to be looking at chances of conception from this entirely opposite angle: When it's me I think 'Inseminated lots of times including day of LH surge and max cm day, but still won't bloody conceive.' I find myself thinking of dp 'let's just put some sperm in her, it's roughly coming up to ovulation, that'll do it.' Mad!

I shall, of course, update you will every urine analysis and nipple twinge. x

beansprout · 05/04/2007 22:12

As is fancying John Simm. And Colin Firth of course.
