Et voila.

This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

Hello there Ready, you're butt is welcome! (I cunningly saw through your hot cross bun disguise ) I have tested every bloody day since Thursday. Still nothing! I was poorly around ovulation, so I think ovulation may have been held up for a day or too, but this was the last day I was expecting my period. Am now day 32 and am usually a 28day-er. Had a tiny bit of spotting, but only when I searched for it IYKWIM but that's gone now. My google search has shown 18 days is the longest you should have high temp before you start to strongly suspect you're pregnant. So, I still have till Thursday. Groan. There's a danger I might be responsible for evacuating the Hut if the kind ladies in here are subjected to my harping on and on about this till then!

How are you these days?

seaside72 · 09/04/2007 17:17

Ready - poor impatience has been through a veritable array of tests over the past few days - most of which were inconclusive - with faint second line - arghhhh - v v frustrating.

Impatience - hope you are doing OK - high temps are a good sign though? Fertility Friend says if you have 18 high temps above coverline you are pregnant!! so sod the tests and keep those legs crossed until Thursday!!

Feedme - The whole issue of sex is such a PITA - I have the same prob with my DH - I have tried not talking about it at all - didnt work cos I am aparently so transparent in my minx like behaviour - he always knew I had planned it and would either say he was tired or just leave me in bed until I had gone to sleep
Tried talking about it and planning it - didnt work as DH got performance anxiety
Tried being casual -"lets just try every couple of days for the next 2 weeks" didn't work cos we got bored after a week and fell asleep!
(Gosh I am painting such a sparkling picture of our relationship!!! Frankly I think Impatience might have a better deal - insemination as a means to an end and then sex for fun and intimacy!!)

Everyone says you should be spontaneous but TBH now we have been TTC for so long how can it possibly be that - everytime you are thinking "maybe" -Actually I think our sex life is permanently ruined!!!! Its no fun anymore when it doesn't work! IYKWIM

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 09/04/2007 15:29

Sorry to butt in

ovenREADYhotcrossbuns · 09/04/2007 15:25

Impatience... 15 days of high temps?? Have you tested?

Impatience · 09/04/2007 10:47

Sorry to hear you had a teasing line too Bbabymumma. They are evil.

Thanks for the champs and strawbs Debs. FMN, have you left any for me?

FMN, sorry to hear you're having stress about sex. Are you making moves on him? (Throwing yourself breasts-first down the stairs at him doesn't count!) Is he getting performance anxiety? Are you? Is it turning into Nike sex (Just Do It)? I know that I really am not in the same boat with all you other girls about the stress of having sex around the right time in order to conceive, but I find it frustrating when I can't get over to inseminate at the right times, and that's without it getting tangled up sex stress. Time for a big chat? Have a big row, get all emotional, then make up with blinding sex?

Still no period or line here. Temp still high this morning, spotting stopped. This is now 15th day of high temp, which is a long time. But frankly I'm fed up now and have pretty much stopped bothering!

feedmelotsofeastereggsnow · 09/04/2007 10:19

God I am sooo confused!! Have been having massive debates with dp over the last couple of months about ttc. I have told him how important it is to me, how I still feel devastated by mc, how I don't want to just not use contraception and "see what happens", I want to actually TRY if that is what we are doing! I have been through with him about my cycle (he has never been one for paying attention to that sort of thing)and explained about when I'm most likely to be fertile so we should be having sex frequently for a good while before and after. So even though he is armed with this knowledge, we haven't had sex anywhere near enough or at optimal times. Yet this morning he tells me that having sex can burn 150 calories....now I know my dp and I KNOW he said this as an incentive for me to want/have more sex! Why, when I have blatantly been wanting lots of sex and he's been the one that hasn't?? I just feel so frustrated cos the more time that passes since mc the harder it seems to get and the worse I seem to feel.

Chickbabymummy · 09/04/2007 07:06

I knew nice weather couldn't last - it's cloudy now grrrr...

feedmelotsofeastereggsnow · 08/04/2007 18:40

Thanks Debbsy. If noone is here to help me out soon then I'll scoff the lot

Debbsyandson · 08/04/2007 17:27

not 4goten you ladies hers is a magnum of champagne and some fresh strawberries (cost nme 8.00 quid robbing bastards)

Bbabymumma · 08/04/2007 17:13

Impatience if it does properly arrive I know we don't do hugs in here but I really do sympathise. It happened to me last month - was sure I could see faint line but AF arrived.. eventually...late. Rude bitch.

Am hoping that doesn't happen to you and she stays away.

Enjoy the sunshine. Eat chocolate. xx

Impatience · 08/04/2007 14:43

To my shame I have been FTC for so long now that I don't hold back on anything on the vague offchance that I might be pregnant... For the first few months I was annoyingly saintly. Now I am demonic.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend x

feedmelotsofeastereggsnow · 08/04/2007 13:15

Impy, can you get plastered? That is always my way of "looking o the bright side" when period arrives.... you know, "oh well, at least I can get really pissed" type thing. I know that this is much, much, much less bright than "oh look, I'm pregnant!!! Yippeeeeee!!" but along with "oh look, I can eat loads of brie and stilton and nuts and...." etc, etc, it at least goes some small way to easing the horrid disappointment
Hope everyone is having a lovely easter weekend in the glorious weather!
xx

Chickbabymummy · 08/04/2007 12:58

Yes you're famous
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad, sending you a big hug!

Impatience · 08/04/2007 10:56

Am at in-laws' - not easy to post! I think I'm getting my period . Temp still really high, but First Response test negative this morning (spectacularly failed to pack my ultra sensitive strips). Am now just starting to get a tiny tiny bit of brown spotting which is how my period starts. I'm vaguely relieved that I think an answer is on the way, but mainly I'm miserable as old sin. I really thought I might be pregnant this month, and for the first time in ages had started to properly imagine what things would be like. I'm gutted. And tricky being here because I just want to curl up in a big mope .

Thanks for being on my side ladies. I shall of course confirm either way. Weird to think of women all round the country wondering whether I'll get my period . xxx

Chickbabymummy · 08/04/2007 10:15

I know, its not fair to keep us in suspenders!

eclipse · 08/04/2007 01:04

Now feedmenow has 'fessed up I'll also admit to wondering about the pee status in the Impatience household. Woke up at 6.30am and thought 'Hmm, I wonder...' and had a quick MN check. I did think, when we hadn't heard anything, how come she hasn't just dashed from the loo to give us an update - like you don't have any other life. Keeping it all crossed.

Chickbabymummy · 07/04/2007 21:41

IMPY - sending you lots of good vibes... in the form of a massive joint hehehehehe.
Thnking of you and your dp xx

Impatience · 07/04/2007 20:21

Yep, I got the 10mui but thanks for the heads up.

FMN, I confess I do the same! Thank goodness you can throw yourself down the stairs to knock some sense into you!

Still no signs either way. I'm frankly starting to get a bit embarrassed about the whole thing... Have some First Response for the morning, and the ultras... And dp will be doing her LH sticks. What a palava!!

Thanks for giving me an outlet. I believe it's helping me stay just the right side of sane

feedmenow · 07/04/2007 19:53

Impatience, funnily enough I WAS lying i bed last night thinking "Wow! I wonder if she IS pg!!" and was on the verge of telling my dp that one of my MN friends might be pg, and how exciting and blah, blah, blah.....so I obviously need to get a grip

yum03creameggs · 07/04/2007 19:31

Impatience - please check that the packs that you recieved in the post have 10muI written on the packet as they made a mistake with me and sent me the 25 ones instead.... let us know.... thanks

Impatience · 07/04/2007 11:15

Thanks Sideways. TBH I feel wretched. I know we all suffer the am-I-aren't-I every bloody month, but I seem to be taking this to extremes. This is the second month in a row I believe I've seen v faint lines, and then the hope builds and then crashes. Right now I feel knackered and sick, most probably because I've spent the last couple of days building to a huge crescendo of stress. I'm gonna blow! Now my boobs are really hurting. They used to do this for a few days before period, but not for ages. But I've also just had a tiny bit of brown spotting, which I do get pre-period, so my symptom spotting is useless! But we really want to know, because if I am pregnant we won't insem dp any more so really we need to know NOW! Yes, we are going completely insane here. Also I'm running a pretty tough race later, so would also like to know so I can either push myself through inevitable rough patches without worrying or just ease off with a smug little smile and come in last but pregnant!

So nothing at all like a relaxing long weekend here...

My apologies for spreading the stress around! (Though I'm sure you don't lie awake at night wondering if I am pregnant! If you are, you need to get a grip )

Enjoy the sun x

sideways · 07/04/2007 11:04

The wait is driving us mad, so I dread to think what it is doing to you and your dp.

You are right, the ultra-sensitive ones should pick up the hormones.

Will be breaking into poeple's houses in the dead of night over the weekend to check up on you!

Everything crossed!

Impatience · 07/04/2007 09:05

Sorry girls, was waiting for my ultra tests to arrive in the post. Did the last of the Superdrugs first thing. Again, a v v v faint line, but impossibly so. Then used an ultra sensitive one, still first morning pot. No line.

Logically we should see this as a negative. If the superdrug line is a line we reckon it should be darker this morning than before. And if the superdrug test is picking up the hormone v faintly, the ultra test really should have done? Looks like the bloody superdrug test has lead us up the garden path.

But of course still in limbo, not really believing it's all a sham. Temp still high. Actually it's REALLY high. Have no idea one way or the other. It is driving us completely insane. This is complete torture.

Altogether now: AAAAaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!

LatenightOwl · 07/04/2007 08:13

Can't stand the waiting.......impatience your are making us all impatient!!!!! Pleaseeeeeeeeeee let us know how you are doing the wait is killing us...

I too am off for a couple of days so will drop by on late Monday/Tuesday to see what is happening..
