Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

Pinkemi we need our heads banging together. I've even left my purse on my desk at work while I go out on my lunch so I don't buy another damn test.

You will get there. We both will. I think joinin mums net has helped the crazy a bit. But it's hard to not think it when inside you just want it to happen so bad. This is only my first month, I feel for you!x

I know exactly how you feel! I haven't been too bad with the tests but the symptom spotting has been terrible. Every time i get a bit of a stomach ache i go.. ooh maybe this month will be my month! Blush Sad thing is.. we are only on our second cycle and trying for our first.

I've downloaded the Ovia app last week, up until then I just used period tracker.

Ovia is great I must say but the temptation to test is so overwhelming. I've set myself a target now to not test at all, until the morning of fathers day (how ironic).

I may actually buy one that's more than 2 quid for that too. I'll think of it as trating myself lol

Hehe I was a bit of a crazy poas woman on our first cycle TTC #2. Seeing so many BFNs was a bit soul destroying to be honest.

I've just finished cycle 2 and was a bit more controlled. I was determined not to test until AF was due...I made it to 8dpo!! Then managed to wait until AF was due.

I think the only way to stop yourself testing early is to not have tests in the house otherwise the temptation is too great!!

Good luck 🍀

Yes, lots of us have done this! I found tracking all my symptoms on an app was a way of containing the crazy and gave me a focus, then I only actually pee on a stick when the app (almost) says I should! You will find hundreds of us POAS addicts on the boards here - welcome!
