Jesus Christ someone tape my hands together - Prego Tests

Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

@lizzysmi has AF arrived? I'm due tomorrow and have been feeling very weepy. :-(

Lizzysmi · 06/02/2018 16:58

I also pee'd on a stick today with no happy outcome. Totally get what you mean. I think maybe I should start taking advice and not worrying about when and how and stressing about the details and just go with the flow.

We'll see how that goes...

Pinkemi · 06/02/2018 16:33

(Sigh) when will I learn!! just peed on a stick.. knowing that it was probably too early even with a First response early test. Needless to say its a BFN.

Had an accupunture session today and told the lady that next month (if there is one) that if she feels a change in my pulse.. I DON'T wanna know about it. Spent the past week symptom spotting and generally feeling meh about the whole bloody TTC. I just can't help but to dwell on what people say...

Like for example today she said "so what will you do next cycle if your not pregnant?" I automatically thought.. so she thinks I'm not pregnant. Damn it. (Probably why I felt like I needed to take a test to prove her wrong. Haha)

I dunno.. Ive felt different this month.. but that's probably more to do with the amount of vitamins I've been taking instead of being pregnant. :-(

I need to just face facts that I'm not pregnant again and just get on with life.

Pinkemi · 03/02/2018 16:20

Some days I really hate apps.. my bbt app has changed my fertile period to a few days ago.. but that's not right coz my CM has been sticky and dry.. grrr

Meh I'll just keep tracking and hoping for the best I guess.

Pinkemi · 02/02/2018 14:45

@Cookie1831 Thanks my dear.. I'm a grumpy woman today. haha

How is everyone else getting on?

Cookie1831 · 01/02/2018 16:58

Aw hope you feel better xxx

Pinkemi · 01/02/2018 13:53

So i've been sniffing a little today, my mood took a turn yesterday (was very grumpy) and my CM looks like it has around this time every month that I wasn't preggers..

So I am convinced that i have a slippery pulse because of my cold.

Time to go back to focusing on my health and weightloss. lol

Pinkemi · 31/01/2018 22:33

I dunno guys.. I've had so many months of false hopes that I just feel meh about it all at the moment. We will see I guess. AF due on 11th.

Cookie1831 · 31/01/2018 16:47

Ok so I have just googled slippery pulse as people are saying it is a good sign... not trying to get your hopes up obvs but hey positive thinking can’t be a bad thing right??x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 31/01/2018 13:06

@Pinkemi after I got my BFP my acupuncturist told me he had noticed my pulse change at 7dpo but didn't say anything at the time! You must be going crazy. Hope it's good news for you

Pinkemi · 31/01/2018 11:52

@Cookie1831 thanks lovely.. We will get there eh. :)

So.. yesterday my accupuncturist told me that I have a "Slippery Pulse" and that it could be a good sign. I was like WFT... WHY have you told me that?! She then did go on to say that if i have a cold then this could affect it too. I've been sniffling a bit since the weekend but now I cant stop thinking about the what ifs? I really wish she hadn't said anything at all. :( I'm only like.. 5dpo... surely its too early to tell. (Although she says it isnt.)

I'm trying to just forget about it and carry on as normal. (But the fact Im talking about it obviously shows Im not doing very well! ha!)

Cookie1831 · 30/01/2018 16:28

I would be too pink sounds very tough xx

Pinkemi · 29/01/2018 11:17

@cookie1831.. I may sound like a woman on a mission but actually following through on what I said above is a different entirely! Lol

I'm pretty good at taking my supplements and attending my appointments, but trying to cut out sugar, gluten and general rubbish food completely is proving to me a lot more difficult then I thought. I keep failing miserably!

@lizzysmi.. I have never put my legs up in the air.. maybe I need to start doing this.

Lizzysmi · 28/01/2018 21:25

Thanks for your lovely message! I think it's good advice re: symptom spotting- a couple of months back I really thought I might have conceived 'cos my tummy made an odd noise!! Haha, looking back with the "wisdom" that two months brings I'm fairly certain I was just hungry :-)

Its great to see a double pink line on the photo kindly shared above - I was beginning to think they were fictitious ;-) Congratuations!

It sounds like to me, from reading back on the posts here, that you're all inspiring and supportive people, and I'm confident that it'll happen for everyone. In the meantime, I know this is too much info, but I'm lying on my back cycling my legs around in a ridiculous manner - you all know why :-)

DH has just rather smugly told me that "cycling" means "moving them like your legs are on a bike, not holding them straight out and swinging them around in a circle with a real risk of knocking things off the bedside table". With this mistake, I may have just outdone the foolishness of 20-pregnancy-tests-in-a-week! ;-)

chewbacca83 · 27/01/2018 22:25

Thanks! Apparently he had guessed! We are over the moon, but worrying too, had a bit of spotting yesterday. My friend just had emergency surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. Naturally now im panicking!

Cookie1831 · 27/01/2018 21:33

pink you sound like a woman on a mission am praying for your bfp xx
Ah chewbacca that is a great line congrats xx

Pinkemi · 27/01/2018 19:49

Ahhh congrats! How did Hubster take it? Grin

chewbacca83 · 24/01/2018 06:49

OMG ive literally just tested and it's BFP!!!! I'm shaking! I can't believe it! Now I have to try and keep it schtum from my husband until Saturday. ...it's his birthday!

@cookie1831 glad to hear everything is going okay!

So yesterday i woke up and was like.. enough is enough! I had my PT session in the evening and talked to him about the fact that my fertility levels are low. Anyway we are going to work really hard on dropping this weight once and for all.. and hope that this will be enough!

I am also reading this book: itstartswiththeegg.com/

It's aimed mostly at people who are having to do IVF, but talks a lot about improving the quality of your eggs. Better to try and improve my chances eh? lol

I havent got very far with it.... but so far what i have gathered is the following:

-No more gluten
-Cut out refined and added sugars
-cut out saturated fats
-no caffeine
-avoid plastics (so no more heating things up in the microwave in Tupperware)

So in a nut shell.. I am cutting out gluten, sugar and caffeine and am limiting my amount of diary. Im upping my intake of veg and cutting down on animal protein.

They also talk a lot about vitamins... So i have spent a fortune getting the ones they suggest:

-COq10
-Maca Root
-spirulina
-pregnancy vitamin
-omega 3
-vitamin d spray
-wheatgrass.

I bought the pill versions but am thinking now that some of them i should have got the powder.. apparently it goes into your system better.

They also talk about making sure you get enough exercise and sleep and of course to make sure i limit stress. ha!

I'm still keeping up to date with my reflexology and am having my second session of acupuncture tonight. :) I WILL conceive this baby naturally! haha

Cookie1831 · 17/01/2018 13:16

I am good thanks lovely, 17 weeks now and fingers crossed all seems ok so far will stop worrying once I hit the 24 week mark xx

Pinkemi · 17/01/2018 12:41

@cookie1831 hope your doing okay? Xx

Cookie1831 · 16/01/2018 13:30

Hey ladies just wanted to check in to say am still thinking of you and can’t wait for the day this thread updates with BFPS for you all xxx

Pinkemi · 15/01/2018 16:45

Welcome to the mad house @Lizzysmi! Smile

I know its easier said then done.. but if I could give 1 word of advice.. try and not symptom spot. If you have the unfortunate experience of trying for as long as I have been.. then you will know it sends you crazy. I quite literally cry now EVERY time AF arrives, because I have been stupidly symptom spotting and agonising over every little twinge or pain that my body has.

But yes.. I agree with you on the sperm comment... Especially now that I have found out my fertility levels are low. I'm like.. crap.. think of all the money I could have saved on condoms over the years. Wink

Snap on the weight loss... I just worked out how much I would have to lose to FINALLY be in the healthy weight range for my height.. bloody 57lbs... 57!!! 4 stone. Sad like.. bloody hell. lol

Lizzysmi · 14/01/2018 17:09

Hope I'm ok to join in here - new to mumsnet...

Identify with lots of people on this thread. Really feel for those waiting and hoping.

Me and DH have being TTC for between 4-5 months and I'm becoming a crazy lady with the ovulation and pregnancy testing!! Luckily found amazon cheapies because would otherwise be bankrupt (and heading that way anyway!).

I always thought it'd be so easy to conceive - we grow up being told to be super careful of errant sperm - now they're being sent up there in their millions and no luck! My mum conceived me (her first born) on their first attempt. Bit worried age is against us - I'm 33 and DH is 40. Also feel I should lose weight...

Really hope those of you who have been waiting a long time get the news they want so much.

Pinkemi · 14/01/2018 09:32

We are now on the 10th month of trying.. so will have another 5months left of trying after this cycle before we have to start thinking about our options. :-( I've bought this book called "it starts with the egg" which talks about improving egg quality.. so I'm hoping ifI can improve my quality and my DH improves his count.. we can get pregnant natrually.

Sorry that you are having to go through all this again though @justamuggle. :-(
