Get me a straitjacket...I can't stop testing my pee because I've lost my mind.

In a nutshell;
-Been with hubby now 10years, married for 2
-Decided to start trying for a baby
-Never been on the pill, all hail the wonders of condoms
-I ovulated on the 4th June and baby danced on both 4th and 5th
-Im taking STUPID tests every single day (cheapo amazon and SD)
-all were negative but of course I'm testing TOO EARLY
-and breathe...

I need some direction ladies. Why am I feeling so intensely crazy? I can't even wait another 5 days till period is due. Okay so I feel some weird symptoms, like a period pain type of niggling pain every night, a silly tonne of flatulence and hysteria. I just can't stop testing.

I even had a very vivid and incredibly real dream this morning that 2 lines appeared. So I tested but still a BFN.

How can I stop myself from testing every day? Has anyone else been a mad woman and done this?

Oh Cookie you poor thing! I'm trying to think about what sort of thing helps bring AF if it is late.. other then DTD.. i can't think of anything. Sorry.. not much help!

anyone heard of Focus T25? It's by the American fitness guy Shaun T? beachbody and all that.

Anyways I am starting that today! thankfully the exercises are about 30mins long.. but I took my before measurements and pictures on Sat (not nice!) so am hoping that I will have a visible difference once the 4 weeks is up!

Cookie1831 · 24/07/2017 13:24

Am still here feeling very meh! Day um let me count 57!!! Another BFN still no sign of period am so bored of this crap now I would say I am going shopping to cheer myself up but I am all bloated and yuck and everything will look rank on bah humbug!

Pinkemi · 24/07/2017 09:20

@JemDoughnut... I chuckled at your last comment.. (Ugh, Moving) as I have been feeling the same recently!

@Anban... bit fed up here i must admit. Found myself almost going.. meh.. whats the point?! Then remembered that I really want a baby.. that is the point! Grin

So.. onto C4, Day 9. Did an Ovulation test this morning and it was negative... been slowly reading that new book of mine.

Things I have learnt so far:

  • It is good for your other half to also take a multi vitamin. *We should be having at least 1 portion of full fat dairy a day. (which I struggle with as I'm trying to give up dairy.

I havent read much of it yet! been so busy! lol

Anban · 24/07/2017 08:06

After my bout of poas really early I have managed to hold back, mostly because I am convinced I am not pregnant.

Been pretty quiet on here. Seems like everyone else is as fed up as I am!

JemDoughnut · 21/07/2017 18:50

@Pinkemi 10 months. I think she's the sort where you know if she hasn't made it to a class because someone else has won Slimmer of the Week! But she's definitely earned it. Think she does a decent amount of exercise too (probably my biggest my downfall, ugh, moving...)

Pinkemi · 21/07/2017 16:16

@Sam91TRS15 of course you can stay! We don't boot people out just coz they have BFP! That would be mean! Grin

I dunno.. I've read that really we should all be T-Total when TTC.. and seeing as I have such a disadvantage with my weight already.. i kinda don't wanna make it worse you know? I dunno.. I'm probably putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on myself. Just.. fed up with this TTC! lol

Sam91TRS15 · 21/07/2017 15:35

Pinkemi, if it makes you feel better I drank what I fancied on holiday and had a hen do where I had a few drinks each night, just a couple days before my not so BFP. I feel like it helped me relax and forget about it!!
Sorry I hope yous don't mind me still loitering here - still not enough hcg to make a digi positive so not quite believing it yet

Pinkemi · 21/07/2017 15:22

8 stone! Wowzers.. how long did it take him/her to lose that @Jemdoughnut?

@Cookie1831 wonderful news to hear that the bloods came back normal! But i guess slightly frustrating as it didnt' tell you exactly what is going wrong? You may find that when you are out relaxing over the next few social events.. your body will think.. ah okay.. and AF will come. Normally happens to me that way! lol

im currently on CD6 and have a BBQ to go to tomorrow afternoon. [confused[ I dunno how to feel about it.. because there is going to be TONS of processed foods (trying to avoid), processed meats (trying to avoid) and Alcohol (trying to avoid!) I want to be able to say.. I will eat and drink in moderation.. but I know what I am like at these things! Once that little bit of alcohol touches my lips.. I'm done for. I'll end up drinking the whole bottle of pimms before I know it! Confused

But.. at the same time I don't wanna be THAT person.. who only nibbles on the food.. has one drink.. (or not drink) and then people start questioning.. its exhausting.

JemDoughnut · 21/07/2017 15:19

@Cookie1831 Good news on the no menopause/PCOS, but what does that mean now? Is it low LH just something that happens sometimes?

Following the Sod''s Law talk earlier, AF does also love a social event...

JemDoughnut · 21/07/2017 15:14

@JustAMuggle Yeah, I got the pretty much the same when I was diagnosed at 15. Except instead of a leaflet I got given Dianette and told to lose weight. Most of the information I got at the time came from research my mum did. The insulin stuff I had to consult Dr. Google about.

Cookie1831 · 21/07/2017 15:08

Ah good news about AF! I really want mine now day 55 BFN and no period bloods are normal apart from slightly low LH so that explains why no cycle as bloody nothing going on but definitely not menopausal or PCOS. Am ok about not being pregnant as I have lots of social events next few weeks so would struggle to hide the not drinking anyways but do wish I could get back to CD1.

Happy Friday girls!!!

JustAMuggle · 21/07/2017 14:45

@JemDoughnut when my dr diagnosed me they said "yep you have it, here's a leaflet and come back if you have any problems trying to conceive"! At 18 that was the last thing I was thinking about.

This is only our first month ttc so I'll give it a while to get used to what my body is doing every month before I bother going back.

Lucky you! Still no AF for me, I keep feeling like it's any day now but that's been for 2 weeks!!

JemDoughnut · 21/07/2017 13:33

@JustAMuggle Yep, I would get the science wrong if I tried, but PCOS can cause insulin resistance, which is why low GL diets are often recommended and Metformin is prescribed (I'm currently on both).

I used to do SW, I think its a good plan and works well if you do it right and don't just live off Mullerlights and Hifi bars. I have a friend currently on it who has lost 8 stone.

I woke up happy, AF has finally arrived! Six hours later and I'm fed up of the pain already. :p

Pinkemi · 21/07/2017 11:46

Ah i'm not going to a group.. Ive been and re-started about 2 or 3 times so decided to just try and do it at home. Otherwise i just end up wasting £5 each week just to get weighed and it seems like such a waste when I know what i "should" be doing.. I just don't always do it.

Problem is.. there are so many "plans" that we could all be following to help lose weight.. how on earth are we meant to know which one works best for us.. you know?!

Im focusing first on my exercise.. and then hoping.. wishing and praying that my food choices will fall into place! haha

How is everyone doing on this Sunny Friday? :)

JustAMuggle · 21/07/2017 11:31

I'm kind of similar in the fact that I just don't like most dairy things and most definitely don't like milk. I sometimes have the cheese allowance but mostly that's the only dairy I have. You can make it suit you though and as long as you get a good leader they're good for advice.
My downfall is carbs! I've got PCOS and read something about carbs and hormone insulin and how it can make PCOS worse (can't really remember). Nothing's ever simple!

Pinkemi · 21/07/2017 10:38

@justAMuggle I am "sort" of doing SW. I'm basically just trying to eat more healthy and less crap! haha Well done on the 2stone loss! My only issue with SW is the amount of low-fat dairy that they say you should eat. I'm trying to cut out dairy (as i dont think my body likes it) so am modifying its principles to make it work for me.

GREAT news about the exercise helping fertility! I need to exercise more often then. haha

JustAMuggle · 21/07/2017 10:06

@Pinkemi did you say you were doing SW or was that someone else? I've been doing it for a while now and have lost nearly 2 stone.. really need to start exercising though.

A friend of mine just had a baby and was trying for a few years, as soon as she started exercising 'hey presto - baby!'

Pinkemi · 21/07/2017 09:25

oh my goodness I am exhausted.. and my legs hurt!

This week I have been making a really conscious effort to get 10k steps in a day. So Wednesday i went running (for the first time in ages) and yesterday evening I ran on the treadmill at the gym. Can't remember the last time I went to the gym!!

So exercise wise I am getting much better.. but my food choices still need to be looked at. Think I am still eating far too many calories. Got to lose this weight!!

Pinkemi · 20/07/2017 14:23

@Cookie1831 ah yes of course.. I remember that now. Hopefully the appointment will come through soon then! Id have no hair left on my head if i was in your situation... you are handling it a lot better then i would be!

Maybe I will be mean and pass the information on ONCE I have my BFP.... Wink

Only kidding.. I couldn't do that to you lot. I will try and share anything which I think you lot should know. Grin

So work today is pretty dull... is anyone else having a better day then me?

Cookie1831 · 20/07/2017 14:20

Yep bloods taken yesterday and waiting for scan appointment to come through.

You do realise you have to pass on all useful prices of info in the book to us right??

Pinkemi · 20/07/2017 13:54

Day 54! Have you been to the doctor yet Cookie?

So my book arrived today.. and its not quite what i was expecting. I was expecting a big cook book style thing.. where as its more a novel size. Hmm

Haven't had the chance to have a proper look at it yet.. as it arrived at Work! Couldnt really get it out of the box without raising a few eyebrows and getting a few questions. haha

Cookie1831 · 20/07/2017 12:56

Day 54 here still nothing on knicker watch, not tested since Monday which is a miracle but have a FRER ready for tomorrow only because I want some wine tomorrow night as having a cosy night in with the hub. Can't remember who said it but I have sorta lost interest in testing weird!!

Pinkemi · 19/07/2017 16:58

We used to use that trick too.. Actually we would guess that AF was arriving mainly because the night before I would be SO horny! haha.

Now.. my apps predict my start date by the day. Taken the "oh god.. has it started" aspect out of waiting for AF.. I can prepare for it better.

So.. my AF is slowly dying down. Its been a horrible cycle this month! Looking forward to getting back to DTD. haha..

Cookie1831 · 19/07/2017 12:26

LOL I use that trick too! Try and get the husband to get things started when want AF to start 😂

JemDoughnut · 19/07/2017 11:36

@Cookie1831 In reality its the same as everything else, in moderation its fine. But these diets were like 'NO BROCCOLI! BROCCOLI KILLS!*' in scary red letters.

No AF here either. POTENTIALLY TMI, but even sex didn't bring it on, which, I know, ew, but AF just loves ruining the moment. But no, just a smidge of old blood this morning.

*Slight exaggeration on my part.
