No period or pregnancy symptoms :/??

Since coming off the pill I have had my period bang on time, arriving always on the 3Rd or 4th of each month. Therefore I was expecting my period to come today or yesterday (sat/sun).. Instead since Friday j have had odd bit of brown discharge which I've only noticed from wiping or once using a tampon for a few hours.. I've since been wearing a panty liner and had nothing show up.

I didn't expect to be considering pregnancy this month as I'm the pervious weeks we have been on holiday and avoiding pregnancy via the "pull out" technique. We were told by our nurse before going on holiday to avoid pregnancy until we returned and had a test for the Zika virus.

We hadn't had sex since coming home two weeks ago but haven't had the money to have the test for Zika yet.

Any thoughts on whether this sounds like pregnancy? I haven't really had any other symptoms x

If I was you I'd just tests with a FRER this morning :) I know you were saying about not wanting to be disappointed but surely the OPKs are just causing you confusion and not giving a definitive answer? X

The brown watery discharge may be a positive thing as I think most women who have Chemicals then get their period as normal as opposed to what you're describing.

Have you tested again this morning?

Guess all I can do is wait until the morning then.. And hope and prey it's a successful pregnancy. I think I'll call the doctors as well after tomorrows test x

I think only you can make that choice depending on what type of person you are.

When I realised my lines suddenly weren't getting darker (about 10 days after my initial BFP) I knew in my heart that something wasn't right. When my lines then started getting fainter I knew what was going to happen. People kept telling me to stay positive and that a "line is a line" and the "strengths of lines don't mean anything" etc but I knew I was going to miscarry.

By the time I actually did miscarry I had already accepted it was going to happen which did make things slightly more bearable because it didn't come as a surprise.

Your situation is different though because it's still such early days whereas in my case, because lines were fading after two weeks of being strong, it was obvious there was a problem.

I honestly don't know what my train of thought would be in your shoes. I'm quite a practical person though and I would probably take a test in the morning and if the line was really, really faint I would assume it wasn't going to be a successful pregnancy. But that's just me.

You can of course always go to your GP who can do bloods to check your HCG levels to see if they are rising and at the correct speed so that's always an option too if your test remains dubious tomorrow.

My husband was out the Country when I miscarried and telling him over the phone was awful. We'd spent 3 weeks being so excited about the pregnancy so to then have to tell him I wasn't pregnant anymore was very difficult. I felt that I personally had done something wrong to have caused it and that as a woman my body had failed etc and I felt like I'd really let him down. In hindsight I know that's ridiculous but it's how I felt at the time.

You'll be ok OP, even if things don't work out this time you will get your baby soon enough Flowers

I would still tell him what's been happening as you're obviously feeling a bit low and upset so you should talk to him. He can give you some moral support on Monday and if there's a nice line you can celebrate together but if not at least you won't have to put a brave face on and pretend everything is ok.

Remember though that even if this does turn out to be a Chemical Pregnancy at least it shows that you can get pregnant and find comfort in that if you can Flowers

OK I may do that then. Going to be a long wait until Morning :( I was hoping to see a clear positive today so I could tell the Husband tomorrow.. Now I don't know what to do :'( x

If i were you I would just get some cheap ones, I bought ASDA's own for about £4 I think (pack of two) and try again in the morning. I wouldn't pay out for another FRER or use the CB unless you felt the lines were getting darker.

When should I test again? I only have a clear blue digital now but haven't been using it as the lines are so faint.. :(

At the moment there is HCG in your urine so you either are pregnant or you were pregnant.

The outcome is either that the pregnancy will be successful and your second line will get darker or that the pregnancy has failed and your period will arrive in a few days time.

It's really shitty OP when there's no definitive answer and it's just a case of waiting it out.

It took me 10 months to conceive my current pregnancy so I know how disheartening it can be when it seems to be taking so long. I had gotten pregnant on our first cycle of trying but I miscarried just under 3 weeks after my initial BFP. It's really crappy.

I really hope there's a positive outcome to this and please don't think the worst just yet Flowers

We've been trying for 7 months now. Beforehand I was on the mini pill but since coming off my periods have been bang on time each month, ovulation has been the same etc except last months came on time but was different to usual but still I ovulated around same date so was expecting period 2/3 July as usual :(
