No period or pregnancy symptoms :/??

Since coming off the pill I have had my period bang on time, arriving always on the 3Rd or 4th of each month. Therefore I was expecting my period to come today or yesterday (sat/sun).. Instead since Friday j have had odd bit of brown discharge which I've only noticed from wiping or once using a tampon for a few hours.. I've since been wearing a panty liner and had nothing show up.

I didn't expect to be considering pregnancy this month as I'm the pervious weeks we have been on holiday and avoiding pregnancy via the "pull out" technique. We were told by our nurse before going on holiday to avoid pregnancy until we returned and had a test for the Zika virus.

We hadn't had sex since coming home two weeks ago but haven't had the money to have the test for Zika yet.

Any thoughts on whether this sounds like pregnancy? I haven't really had any other symptoms x

How long have you been trying? It's a bit soul destroying! I've just had preseed, cb ovulation tests, supplements for oh and bang aspirin for me. I'd be cheaper with a baby! 😂😫😂

Really hope we both have a miracle happen and it turns out were pregnant hun
...I'm sooo fed up of not knowing what the reason is behind this happening this month. And also getting my hopes up each month to just be left disappointed :'( x

No not bothered going.... the only thing that's been weird is the occasional boob twinge which I never get and also feeling like ovulation pain rather than cramps. Headaches and a bit tired too. I'm still thinking I'm having a bizarre period rather than anything else.

All will become clear! It's just annoying as fu@k

Hmmmm I think I may test again on Monday just to be sure.

It's really strange. My "period"'started with brown spotting last Thursday and hasn't really gone above that, 1hr of a little bleeding but nothing else since. Only used 1 tampon the whole time! Nothing in my knickers only when i wipe.... the joys of being a woman! Guess work all frigging month! 😫

Vocal cat - that's disappointing to hear, what did your experience with yours?

Emhw123 - I was due Saturday 3Rd but on 2nd Friday - Tues had brown discharge when wiped then last two days it's been fresh blood but only when I wipe and its going brown again now. No pains, not heavy and no clots. I've been feeling a little sick since last night too and lost my appetite What about you?
I don't know whether to test in the morning or to try wait it out as ive read lots of women say they had same plus negative tests until a week or two later :/ x

Exactly the same! I'm frustrated to hell. PG this am negative. Due Aunt Flo Saturday..... unless this last week has been Aunt Flo but mega mega light! 😫😂

I don't think doctors keep pregnancy tests so you will need to buy one to test with. They are cheap and you can get them in bulk online if you prefer.

Having been pregnant on four occasions, I've never experienced what you have with a pregnancy, so can understand why your doctor doesn't think you are pregnant.

4 and half days of brown discharge and then last two days it's turned red with no clots and just now was brown but ita just when I wipe not needing tampons or pads and not getting the usual bad cramps x
Doctor was useless. Didn't offer me a pregnancy test. Just said come back if I do end up with a positive test or if I get some next month said I'm over exaggerating :(

Seven days of brown discharge doesn't sound right for implantation bleeding. Have you done another test?

Today will be day 7 since the brown discharge started. Period was due from day 2. I called doctors this morning. He wasn't really helpful said it would be pregnancy or just an off period :/ got an apt at 4.10 today. Hoping for good news or get least a test for a week away so levels have gone up enough if I am pregnant x

Some people experience bleeding during implantation. If this is the case, it would've been too early to pick up pregnancy on a test when you did one. I would give it a week after your "af" ends and then test again just to rule it out Smile

My period is definitely not as usual 4 and half days brown discharge and now a less heavy, no clots, bright red bleed with none of my painful cramps and this afternoon ive felt too nauseous to eat :/ x

The only thing we've done both times is not track properly! I know the length of my cycle and I look for ewcm to indicate ovulation but we dtd every other day for the whole month regardless. It may sound like a chore but it never is. I guess it could become one though so that'd be the only thing! But yeah, that's all we did - every other day, entire month long!

I guess your right about that. You always think it's easy to get pregnant until you try it for yourself and then you realise there's people who have dealt with this monthly torture for years and years before getting their miracle babies x

Fingers crossed for you hun let me know how things progress x any tips on getting pregnant for this month. Would love it to happen this month it would be due for March which is our wedding anniversary xx

I know exactly what you mean, it's so so tough and there are announcements all the time where people appear to be having an easy time. I try to remind myself that it may seem like someone has everything you want but you never know the battles they've faced behind closed doors. I really hope you get things sorted soon. So you've said that your period has started now? Is it normal albeit late?

Thank you. I was originally going to have one at 8 weeks but my mum is a midwife and was quite adamant that scans before 10 weeks can be risky because you're still at a fairly significant risk of mc. However, she's not had a mc and she's very matter of fact about everything. It really does change how you see everything. I'm trying to find little checkpoints to reach so hopefully that'll keep me settled enough.

Just confused with it not being like usual. Really want to get pregnant soon it's driving me crazy the month after month of not knowing, getting hopes up and then being disappointed :'( x it seems everyone around me is pregnant too x

Really hope you have better luck this time sweetie. I would definitely have a private scan asap to put your mind at ease it's much easier once you get to see them and know for certain your pregnant xx

Because you had a negative test, I'm not sure that they'd take it as a miscarriage it but if you feel more comfortable talking it through then definitely make an appointment. They may be able to put your mind at rest Smile

Sorry just realised you asked some questions yesterday! I'm not sure there's much point getting the doctor's to do a test - they're the same as the hpt's. They could do a blood test but as it's still early days I think I'll give it a while longer to show up darker on a hpt first I think. Unfortunately, they won't do an early scan in my area unless I have concerns like bleeding or cramping. I'm thinking of booking a private 10 week scan if I get that far!

I'm not sure really... I did go to the doctor when I entirely skipped a period once but they still didn't do anything other than offer a test when I had my next af to check for ovulation, which I presume you must be doing because of your regular periods beforehand. Sorry not very helpful I know! Maybe see how next cycle goes?

Woke up from my sleep after woke to a flow of red blood. So confused after 4 and half days of odd brown discharge when my period is always on time and usually is only light for an hour or do before full on period x what do you think guys? Is it worth talking to a doctor?

Of you've got all those symptoms plus a faint line then it's looking very positive.. Have you booked into docs to get an early test and scan to be extra certain and careful as well? X

I've no symptoms but still no period throughout my night at work x
