Hi thats it really. If there is anyone who is about to start a new cycle with clomid, can you please be my friend?
This will be my first try on clomid, I have pcos, and started af today after a horrible 48 day cycle.
But af is here, hurray! which means i can start on the magic beans tomorrow.
So if you would like chat and hand holding too, please sign in here.
Im thinking good sense of humour, sympathy, and patience will be a must

Any cramps or feelings yet Pusscat??

lulu1414 · 20/05/2007 09:24

Hi PCM, just knew that AF was due soon and wanted to see how you are faring. I know what you mean re clomid. I am a bit undecided, but pretty sure I will take a month off. I just thought I would stretch it out a bit and thought I would see how I felt off of it. In any case, I know it stays in your system for a bit in any case.

Hope you have a good day and that AF stays away!

pussycatmomma · 20/05/2007 08:29

hello, I am here Didnt mean to spark concern....
Just have nothing to report, thats all. Am cd32 today, this is the same length as last cycle, so am really expecting af anyday. Am really undecided about what to do about continuing the clomid for next month. I think Im just feeling down about it all and didnt want to clutter up the thread with my moanings! ! Cant believe this is only my 2nd cycle, it feels like forever.
hugs to all....
At least the sun is shining today, rain be gone with you!!

Yes PCM.....you appear to have gone quiet on us.....how goes it?

lulu1414 · 19/05/2007 10:32

Yes, where are you PCM? Hi Minxi...

I'm on cd15 now. Now just the long wait for AF, I guess. DH is going away for 5 days, so if I haven't ovulated yet we are fresh outta luck for this month. I think I am going to lay off the clomid next month.

Hope everyone else is OK.

minxi · 19/05/2007 07:48

pcm...where are you...any news ??? My temp dropped today cd 27 so just a matter of time....depressing really but know I will take the clomid next month too as just want a chance to fall pg so by not taking it may miss that chance!! Hope you ok

flosspot · 18/05/2007 11:38

Thanks for the thoughts, ladies. Crap day, I guess. Sun is shining now though, and feeling a lot brighter

You go with the BDing Lulu. Fingers crossed, for us all

Big smooches, flossie

lulu1414 · 17/05/2007 20:55

Floss- poor you. I can sympathise- I have had much of the same over the past few months. I was one of the first to get pg and then had late miscarriage and now it seems that everyone is pg. Arghh!!

PCM- hope you are feeling better. When do you expect AF? I think I am on a 27 day cycle. But awhile to go as I am on CD 13 today. At least DH has not been called away to work so we are at it!

coggy · 17/05/2007 09:40

Bad timing flosspot.
(((hugs)))) to you.

flosspot · 17/05/2007 09:36

So the mail just arrived. A note from a school friend telling me she is five months pregnant. I of course disolved into tears. Pathetic?

flosspot · 17/05/2007 09:14

Melancholy abounds- spent the last few days in tears over nothing. Have broken things, burnt things, walked into things and been headbutted by dog. Consultant appointment next Wed, so hopefully will know more then.

Big smooches to you all. Hopefully the weekend will bring positivity?!!!

minxi · 16/05/2007 20:40

pcm - know how you feel but cheer up - could be symptons of af too....!! Don't give up now....if you do have to do next month that will be your third...then give up for a month and relax then take the rest a month or so later....oh I don't know I'm inthe same boat....

cd24 today and last night was a raging cow to my ds2 in the night as I was losing precious sleep....not normally like that so have put it down to the clomid...said that to dh and he said oh right when did you take them again.... men grrr !!

Feel a bit better now although this week since Monday have had on off slight temperatures, queasiness, now dodgy throat and sinuses hurting....plus twisted my ankle yesterday and meant to be doing moonwalk on Saturday night!! not a good start!
oh well chin up I don't feel its going to happen for me this month but can't not try next month again just in case....depressing though!!

pussycatmomma · 16/05/2007 19:30

just wanted to say to awen - your ovulation date is truly inspiring! congrats on your scan, bet it is starting to feel real now for you. Hope you are feeling well.
Have given up a bit this month. We only bd around the first half/middle of my cycle. After I had the spotting on day20 we havent really bothered much. day 28 today. Have been practical and not tested, (whats the point?) and am just waiting for af.
Seriously thinking about not taking the clomid next month just to give my head a rest if you know what i mean. Dh not keen to do this, thinks I should take it anyway and just chill out more (hmmm, easier said than done....)
Am sure af is imminent. Had an awful day today, not just about ttc, but in general. Burst into tears at work (how unprofessional) and just feel as if the whole thing is really dragging me down just now.
And the bloody rain is not helping
Hope today finds you lot more cheery than me!

Hi guys. hope everyone had a good weekend. Yes this weather is relentless! But we had a really good weekend and so far DH has not been called into work, which is good as it is time to start at it!

MrsM- as you can see from earlier threads my AF was really wierd too- very light in my case. But my doc said not to worry...

Hope everyone has a good week and that the next few weeks bring some good news on our little thread.

MrsMills · 14/05/2007 10:08

Well I'm now concerned that I'm having really long af , am currently on cd 8 and she's still going strong!

Would it be possible to ovulate whilst still bleeding?

Thanks wyatt, sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I was prescribed clomid for my 2 ds's so I'm fairly confident but, as you're experiencing - you can never be sure. At the very least you have an appointment with a consultant to help things along if necessary, though hopefully it won't come to that for you.

I do feel sort of naughty doing it this way however. Ho hum

flosspot · 14/05/2007 09:16

Coggy- thanks for the info. Very useful- almost looking forward to it!!!

PCM- know what you mean- been feeling low all weekend. Blame it on the weather man.

hiya all........coggy is a mine of information, as ever
pussycatmomma, cd24, 2nd cycle of clomid.

OP posts:
coggy · 12/05/2007 12:03

When I was on clomid....(I shouldn't really be here cos I've finished with all that now!!!)...I had follicular tracking to check that they were doing what they should be. When I had decent size follicles they gave me an hcg jab to get them released....that's why they kept track so that they knew when it was time to have the jab.
I know that alot of clinics do it totally differently though.

It involves an internal scan....not as bad a a smear...just a probe with the Ultra Sound thing on the end...a bulbos (sp??) probe which was rather uncomfortable going in but once the wider bit went in it was fine!!

I was apparently "rather small" so it may not be as uncomfortable for others.
Since having my ds..it doesn't bother me at all!!!!!!
One plus there then!!!!

They wiggle it around to look at the womb lining and how many and the size of the follicles.
I responded very well to the clomid and usually had about 3 or 4 follicles.....always a worry for multiples!!!

Now I have the tracking done around CD9, again on CD11 and then sometimes once more because I am having IUI treatment at the moment and they need to accurately time OV. This cycle I also had to have an USS on CD1 which was not a grim as I thought it would be.

I was always really worried about the next stage in ttc....but as each stage comes it gets more 'normal' and now I am used to having the tracking and other things.
HTH.
