Floss - sorry mil is being a bit insensitive. Fingers crossed this cycle is a shortie and you can get back to ttc. V good idea to look out for the ewcm as you never know...
Gp was great and told me to take the clomid as it's clear now I've only a 9 day LP. So who has any advice for me? I was told to take it at night so I can sleep through any flushes and have warned dh that my moods could be a bit erratic.... I notice you girls saying af length is affected, did that happen in your first or subsequent cycles?

Buttercup- fingers crossed your appointment has a good outcome.
Coggy- I'm doing OK- just had the call from MIL to sympathise. When I say sympathise, I mean nag: "Sad that this has happened, but you need to get on and make a new baby!" I paraphrase, naturally . Grrr- jabs. Did you have to practice on an orange? Are you doing them yourself? How are you feeling? Keeping everything crossed, as you know!
Minxi and Lulu- thanks for thinking of me. Can't believe you guys are cycle 4. Still holding on cycle two as can't take Clomid until next cycle- m/c buggers up dates apparently. Am really falling behind!

Not much to report here as having a dead cycle- CD counting out of the window due to m/c. Will have to rely on EW spotting and hoping for short cycle so I can get back to TTC. Can't twiddle my thumbs for ever!

Lulu...last cycle af was about 4-5 days...so this cycle started Friday evening and has now gone!...this cycle length though was only 26 days it was 28 days last month....so a bit confused there...moods seem to be much better (thank god) but extreme tiredness last week running up to af....was sad but now am okay - although had an accident on Saturday fell and smashed my face into the concrete step! nose is all scabby and face is compeltely swollen - my eyes feel odd typing this as am looking down slightly to check what I am writing! ugh! Good luck this cycle though - its a horrid waiting game x

Happy Bday Atilla! Coggy- good luck at the GP. Floss- hope you are doing OK. I know how devastating a m/c can be- but as you say onwards and upwards.

Minxi- welcome to cycle 4 of clomid! I am presently on CD17 of my 4th cycle. I definitely think my moods are affected more now on clomid, but really only at the start of my cycle when I start taking the pills. So Minx, you AF was really light too? And how long was your cycle? Mine is getting longer each month (25 days, then 28 then 29). So I am expecting to get Af around Cd30 this time. I am going to the consultant in a week just to get some reassurance and talk to him about things.

Lulu - mu af was only two days and not back to 28 days like last month.., now on cd3 of cycle 4 of clomid - hey ho!

I was really sorry to hear about your m/c.......how are you doing?

I am currently CD6.....been jabbing for a few days now on a MEGA-double dose of drugs so we shall see what is happening inside at my scan on Weds!

I hope all goes well with the gp today Buttercup.

I'm off to the gp tomorrow as she has been more sympathetic. I'm hoping she'll say give it a go. That's all I want, one month on the stuff to see if it regulates my cycle.

I bow to Attila's wisdom on all things, but am deeply sorry that you are in tears buttercup. This whole business i upsetting and distressing in ways I don't imagine I'll ever understand.

If it turns out that you are ovulating on a regular basis taking of clomid can actually temporarily reverse that.

Not really surprised to read that gynae was dismissive of temp charts; such things are known to be unreliable at best.

Floss - so sad to hear your news. I really hope you get successful again soon and it all works out.
Girls I need your advice as I sit here crying. The gynae prescribed clomid but said I was only to take it if my progesterone test taken 5 days before my period came was less than 30. My result on monday was 39 - my gp said excellent, looks like your cycle has gone gack to normal. I'm day 9 now and I'm cramping and spotting - as usual. My LP is always 8 or 9 days. The prob is I've been told not to take the clomid but know from everything I've read about short LP that clomid is very good at giving a longer LP. The gynae was quite dismissive of my charts and things and I know he would be pissed off if he knew i'd taken it when he specifically said not to. Also I wont be able to have blood tests etc if I take it in secret. What shall I do? What would you do? I suppose I could try it for one month and keep temping to check it does it's job.... Advice please girls.

BAck from hols with the worst news sadly. Found out the day we left that I was pregnant, then five days later miscarried. Have spent last few days in and out of French hospitals and feeling pretty low.

That's it really. Will be back soon, but wanted you all to know where I was if I wasn't around!

I am in the midst of my 4th cycle. I have some concerns that it is thining my lining as I now only have 1 day AF. I had no AF for 6 months after a missed miscarriage in October. I finally did get AF on my own, but I had already been prescribed clomid. I had a scan in the middle of my 1st cycle for the things I mentioned before and just told to keep going with clomid for 6 months. I am going back to the consultant just to check in with him about my worries about my womb lining at the end of the month.

Hi Lissie and House of. Welcome! Sorry we have not been that active, but I think there was a flurry of activity as we all started, but now that some of us are into our 3rd/4th cycle it has tailed off a bit.

Lissie- it is pretty normal to have the tracking- it is just to make sure that you are responding to clomid, but are not over-responding ie producing multiple eggs. They will just to an ultrasound to see how things are going and to check the lining.

hi, can i join? got my HSG on monday and if my remaining tube is any good i shall be on 100mg clomid. bit impatient now! i know my cycle of the top of my head and a bit worried about the effects of clomid. also, i will be having ultrasound follicle tracking during the first cycle, what does this entail

Can I join this thread? I have just about recovered from my Clomid nightmare. Never felt so poorly on tablets. Not sure it was much use as I was so moody and grumpy only BD once! My husband has just given up smoking, so hope that will help things perhaps not immediately but eventually.

Hi all. I've got a 6 month supply too. I got a positive opk last night and still have lots of ewcm so am pretty certain I've not ov'd yet. I think I'm going to get the blood test done on the monday and plead ignorance if it gets questioned later on! At least that way by the time the gynae sees me I'll already have taken my first cycles worth
Minxi - it really sounds as though the clomid is working well for you - fingers crossed.
Flosspot could you call the doctor and ask about upping the dose? Luteal phase is the time after you ovulate until you get your af anything less than 10 days is considered too short to let implantaion occur. Have a great holiday.

Minxi- great news! Gives me hope I have to say, since it's only recently come to light that I'm not ovulating, despite having cycles. After two months of Clomid, still holding at around 40 days...though have had as long as 122.

Buttercup- TTc first child, after 18 months trying. Got quick referral because I have documented PCOS. Have a six month supply of Clomid from GP, hoping consultant will up my dosage, as they suggested they might...

Lulu- how are you doing today?

Others- hope you are all well. Off on holiday tomorrow, so won't be around for a while. BTW what are your thoguhts on me upping my own dosage of Clomid, as I have lots, and consultant has suggested it's what they might do next? Naughty, i know.
Also, what the hell is a luteal phase?
