Hi thats it really. If there is anyone who is about to start a new cycle with clomid, can you please be my friend?
This will be my first try on clomid, I have pcos, and started af today after a horrible 48 day cycle.
But af is here, hurray! which means i can start on the magic beans tomorrow.
So if you would like chat and hand holding too, please sign in here.
Im thinking good sense of humour, sympathy, and patience will be a must

hi everyone ((waves))
lulu.....if it was so light and now its stopped and you normally go much later into the cycle before af .....could it not be implantation bleeding??? I know few people who have actually thought they had af, then found they were prg and then looking back af was very light or early or weird in some other way. Just a thought. Though I'm sure you will have thought it already...
I have also read many times of clomid being started up to day 5 in cycle, try not to worry....
Like i said earlier i am cd24 today, but have had uncomfortable af type cramping. Wish there was a pill to take to completely numb your mind along with the clomid, there is far to much to think and ponder on!!!
Hiya Coggy....I posted on your thread, glad to see you are back in the driving seat this month!

MamaMaiasaura · 10/04/2007 20:46

lulu - also I was able to start clomid on day 5 of my cycle (mine was late starting as I was poorly) If u search clomid often it is taken days 5-9 so please dont worry too much xx ((hugs))

coggy · 10/04/2007 19:35

Lulu.....if you don't manage to get your prescription in time don't worry.

I had to have a couple of breaks in between my clomid cycles (because of work or one thing or another) and fell pg on a month's 'break'.
It does stay in your system despite what my nurse said!
So don't feel like it's a wasted month even if you can't take the clomid.....it may have woken your body up a bit.
HTH.

I'm pretty sure it is AF although the timing is wierd. I have no other symptoms. It was extremely light for 2 days and then heavier on Saturday. Now seems to be over, though. I am desperately trying to get more clomid- v. frustrating. Would it be OK to start on day 4 do you think even though doc said to start day 2???? I guess I could just leave it this month, but I really don't want to. I so hoped I would be pregnant before April 19th as that was supposed to be my due date for the baby I lost in October. And.. of course, just found out another good friend is pregnant and due in June. Didn't want to tell me since her due date is so close to what mine was supposed to be.

awenbadbunny · 10/04/2007 14:46

I started clomid on day 5 for this cycle. Might be good to test just in case. Has AF fully arrived or is it spotting?

lulu1414 · 10/04/2007 14:38

Hi all- sorry, I've been moving and don't have email access. Well, AF arrived on Friday (CD24!). Total shock as thought it wouldn't show for at least another week as my cycles seem to be 35 days and I thought clomid meant a longer cycle. Now rushing about trying to get another prescription of clomid as my GP messed up and only gave me enough for 1 cycle. Did anyone start taking clomid 3 days into cycle or later? I'm hoping I haven't missed the boat this month. Feel totally thrown by it. Another question- do I still need to do a PG test even though pretty sure this is AF? Question, questions!

pussycatmomma · 10/04/2007 09:34

hi awen......sorry to hear whats been happening with you. (((hugs))) Were your cycles that long without the clomid? I think iirc you said they were, mine were the same, 40-50 occasionally the odd 70-90 day-er thrown in for good measure. I have heard about the provera but dont know the ins and outs of it. I will try and find out and post for you. At least your consultant is keen to get you moved up to the 100mg,which should make a difference, its not like s/hes hanging around and saying "lets just try another cycle". That is one of my fears, that they will just leave me on it for the full 6mths , with no bfp and not enough monitoring to find out what is actually happening. But it sounds like that is not the case with you, which is v.good. Did you have any obvious abdominal pain this month? I had a distinct cycle of it around the time the clomid-textbook(!) said i may ovulate, im scared of getting my hopes up though. Just wondered if you had any this month, and then the tests went on to say you did not ovulate? Keep posting honey, let us know if you start the provera. Or af for that matter. Wonder how lulu is getting on?
Back to no-mans-land for me...Still bd though, you never know!

CD44 (CD40 on clomid). Did as consultant said and took test this morning. BFN Have to do another test on Thursday and then speak to conultant that day. Looking at starting on clomid 100mg.

Obv still no AF either. If no Af or BFP I will have to take provera for 7 days.. how does it work? Do you start AF after finishing provera or whilst taking it?

No-mans land is hard pcm .. symptom spotting starts.. (took my mind of it by LOTS of bd

Just want to be BFP soo much. I think tho this cycle is out for me.. oh well January baby maybe then. DS was february and if Feb exactly 8 years then between them

pussycatmomma · 09/04/2007 20:43

have i killed my own thread??
where are you ladies? I can only hope to assume that you all have neither good news nor bad news otherwise you would have been on here telling me all about it!!
Hope everything is ok with you lot, keep us posted everyone!!
cd23 here for me. No-mans-land time of the cycle me thinks.
love to all x x x

hellllooooooo people!! Happy Easter to everyone just in case I dont get a chance to log on before Easter Sunday.
Awen, keeping everything crossed for you honey, hope af stays away and that you get to experience your bfp very soon. Cant wait to see if you are lucky this cycle.
Coggy and wannabe lovely to hear from you two my old buddies, not much to report though i am afraid to say! How are you both doing??? Wannabe, did you go back on pill yet? whats happening with you sweetie? coggs, does this seem like a really long month for you cause you are "on a break"????
cd 19 here. For the most part we have managed to keep up with the almost inane shagging .....
had my progesterone blood test today, am not expecting any wildly happy results, as i said, day 19, it is supposed to be day 21 but that falls on easter sat, and what with bank hols on friday and monday etc, hosp advised to have it today. Bearing in mind my recent cycles have been about 45 -50 days, I am not expecting to have ovulated yet (if at all of course).
Feeling a bit fed up to be honest. It is so hard to allow yourself to be hopeful, cause in the end you know that hopes are gonna be dashed every month, no matter how hard you try.....
Thinking of you all.

hello just crashing to say hi to pussycat and coggy - how's things with you both?

coggy are you doing another IUI cycle soon?

awenbadbunny · 05/04/2007 11:14

Hi coggy - my usual cycles are all over the place. Have had a few around 35 days apart but between last two was a whole year! I know waht u mean about the secretary. Mine consultants told me that the clomid couldnt have worked as hadnt' ov'd on blood test.. which i had before called about as felt it was too early in cycle as started clomid late.. the secretary told me made no difference. The consultant has told me that it does! Ah well, lesson learnt for me there.. the secretarys are secretarys and cant give me clinical advice. x

coggy · 04/04/2007 22:06

Awen....how long are your 'usual' cycles?
I had a randomly long one when I took clomid the first lots of times....think I went up to about 37 days (instead of usual 27/28)...the clinic secretary.....not very appropriately IMO....told me that I probably had got pg and lost it but I KNOW that I hadn't because of testing from CD28 onwards!!

Sometimes the clomid did slightly strange things to my cycle.
I dearly hope that yours is for the best reason possibe.
X

awenbadbunny · 04/04/2007 21:14

CD39 (CD35 on clomid) Have been having lots of CM (sorry if tmi ) but it has felt like AF arrived today & yesterday.. but both times just lots of cm (quite watery/creamy). Boobs are aching still. Itching to do another test but after bfn on monday dont want to! Speak to consultant tomorrow.

coggy · 04/04/2007 15:06

PCM......what CD now?
Have you managed to keep up the 'every-other-night-with-a-few-bonus-ones-in-between'?????

coggy · 04/04/2007 15:05

Hoo-bloomin'-raa Rachee.............
Good to hear from you.....I shall text.

awenbadbunny · 03/04/2007 20:19

dont know if good news or I havent ov'd (suspect i did - but perhaps imagining it all)

lulu1414 · 03/04/2007 15:02

OK I am confused. I know I am obsessing, but what have you guys been told? Should we expect to ovulate 5-9 days after last pill or in line with our cycle (for those of us that have what we think is a cycle?

Awen- good news about lack of AF.

awenbadbunny · 03/04/2007 11:59

Morning all .. still no AF CD38 (CD34 on clomid). My consultant told me on my CD20 (CD16 on clomid) that the test i had for progesterone could be too early and that i may ov later. My cycle was spontanous (not induced). Will speak to her on Thursday.

lulu1414 · 03/04/2007 01:24

Hi all- how pleased was I to log on late tonight and see that our was the most active thread! Well done, ladies.
Rachee- v.pleased.
No preseed used by me...
Pussycat- I also frantically searched last night. I also heard that ov supposed to be 5-9 days after, but surely there must be some flexibility as wouldn't it have something to do with your "normal" cycle?? I felt really uncomfortable pain in the night on one side on day 9 after last clomid pill

I am now on CD 20 (CD18 on clomid)...

awenbadbunny · 02/04/2007 23:03

congratulations Rachee on fab scan

Bfn this morning. Still no AF tho so knicker watching and waiting.

Didnt use preseed here. Waiting to see how first few tries go.

pussycatmomma · 02/04/2007 20:02

Sorry forgot to ask what I have been meaning to ask for about a week now -
Is anyone else using pre-seed or any other "slippy stuff" along with their clomid? I was all set for buying some preseed today when i found more (irritating) facts off the internet telling me it would not help my chances of concieving with the clomid. At about £12 a box, id be interested to know if anyone else had bothered or not.

OP posts:
pussycatmomma · 02/04/2007 19:47

meant to say hardly* move for the stuff!

OP posts:
pussycatmomma · 02/04/2007 19:45

hello rachee, hi all. Good news about your bfp Rach!!!! Its all good stuff...
I dont know what happened to the clomid thread, when I was prescribed the clomid I looked for it but couldnt find anything active. Hence I started this one. Hope nobody minds, as long as we all find each other thats all that matters
Awen, hows you today? no af , hurray!!!!!! Lets hope she stays away and you are bfp
Lulu, hows things? What cd are you on now?
I have had really bad stomach cramps and achiness in my lower back on and off since friday, but today been really intense and painful. Feels for all the world like the sort of pain you get before af, but am cd16, so hopefully not that. Not sure what though. Anyone else had it/got it? I was trying to fact find today and found on the internet that clomid supposedly makes you ovulate around 5-9 days after you take the last tablet, anyone else heard of this?
We are keeping to the recipe of bd every other day, but last night we snuck an extra one in, and am hoping to do the same tonight .........
keep me posted everyone, you lot are keeping me going!!!!
Seems like such a long cycle though.....hope we are all lucky soon.
Babydust to everyone...
(((cant find any to copy and paste, it all seems a bit un-pc these days!!! when i first came on mn you could move for the stuff on the ttc threads, now its like gold(baby)dust!!

Rachee · 02/04/2007 18:48
