Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

Yay that's great news @fefifoefum! Your positive vibes will certainly positively benefit your baby making hormones Smile

2WW is well and truly underway for me. Fingers and toes crossed again.

GWeatherwax · 27/06/2017 12:39

Congratulations on the job Fefifoefum! That's awesome news Grin

You are due AF today aren't you?

Fefifoefum · 27/06/2017 11:48

Hello ladies! Sorry to hear about your AFs, but I hope you had fun at Glastonbury/friends etc!

Well, I got the job, it's pay day and no AF...but I'm very PMS symptom-y, so I'll settle for no BFP as yet!

MissyEm · 25/06/2017 17:37

@FrowningFlamingo, have a great evening Wink..I haven't heard of Clue, will look that one up. I have relied on the clear blue tests for OV alongside Ovia.

FrowningFlamingo · 25/06/2017 12:17

Haha magpie I'm adamant I'm not going to do any of that but I'm not sure my resolve will last very long!

missy AF due around 8th July. Clue is struggling to work it out because they were a little off after I had my implant out but I seem to be on 28 day cycles now so I think it will be more like the 11th. So might well be a smidge early for ov anyway...

We are very good friends and we're uni housemates so it's not like it would be the first time! Still seems odd. I can't imagine DH cares a jot tbh. Maybe we will brave it this evening Blush

AdrianaWeatherwax · 25/06/2017 11:56

Sorry to hear that McTufty WineFlowersCakeSad

MissyEm · 25/06/2017 11:21

Magpie24 good luck with the temp tracking, good for you. Wish I wasn't so lazy to do this as well as OPKs. I wish this month is the month. Wishful thinking as it's only been 2months since pill stopping.

Magpie24 · 25/06/2017 10:51

@FrowningFlamingo as @MissyEm says try and relax about it and don't worry. Good luck!!

I've just caved and ordered a thermometer for basal body temperature tracking... might need some help interpreting the results!!

MissyEm · 25/06/2017 09:59

FrowningFlamingo try not to feel awkward. It's entirely natural, if it makes you feel a bit better do it more quietly or can you find a reason for them to pop out whilst you stay home? I have no idea how you can get round this feeling but you have today and maybe tomorrow for this window. How does you DH feel about it?

I also didn't notice any EWCM this month but OV on Friday. Guess we must be on a similar cycle? When is your AF due?

FrowningFlamingo · 25/06/2017 09:48

We are staying with friends until Tuesday and I feel massively awkward about DTD while we are here. According to clue it was ovulation day yesterday. We DTD Friday but not yesterday, normally today would be a DTD day... No EWCM so far this month tho which is a bit weird...

MissyEm · 25/06/2017 09:23

@Magpie24, I know what you mean about the engineer. My DH is an electronic engineer so a very straight down the line factual person, so this whole emotional journey does not phase him at all!

Well the fertile window is over now. Not too sure when to test. Think I will wait and see is AF turns up this time round.

Magpie24 · 24/06/2017 18:52

@McTufty that is so helpful and also encouraging. So handy you have a partner in medicine. Having one in software engineering isn't nearly as useful!!

McTufty · 24/06/2017 18:15

I should add he's a doctor in case you're wondering why the hell it matters what he says!!

McTufty · 24/06/2017 18:04

Hi magpie, very heavy AF for me. I'm away for try weekend with DH so bad timing! However I broke down and told him my worries and he said it will be because our artificial hormones we have been pumping into our bodies will mean our natural hormonal levels haven't regulated yet. This could affect everything about our cycles. Some people readjust immediately, for others it can take a few months.

Everything we read about what is 'normal' for a menstrual cycle basically doesn't apply to us until we have had a bit longer for our bodies to readjust apparently.

So basically I feel like shit and really worried but rationally am trying to focus on the fact it is hopefully just the afterhang of the pill. Given you're only on cycle 2, I'm sure it's the same for you too. Hopefully our bodies will play ball for our next cycles Smile

Magpie24 · 24/06/2017 17:01

@MissyEm thank you! Dust to you too. Afraid I am no OPK expert...

@McTufty how are you getting on? Definitely AF for me but a weird one, just very dark brown blood and not a lot of it.

MissyEm · 23/06/2017 16:13

Hi ladies, catching lots of waiting going on. Good luck baby dust to you all!!

Question for you so I had a negative ion yesterday but an opk smiley today. So are my best days today and tomorrow?

Magpie24 · 23/06/2017 13:09

@McTufty oh that is an interesting read. You're right tonight, we will just have to wait and see! I really hope it's not AF for us.

@AdrianaWeatherwax no I haven't been temping but if I continue to have irregular cycles I think I need to start! I've seen a few cheapie thermometers on Amazon, is that a good place to go? It all looks so complicated!

McTufty · 23/06/2017 12:41

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/early-pregnancy-symptoms/spotting-during-luteal-phase.php

This was quite useful. Sounds like in my case it's a negative indicator for pregnancy but doesn't sound that uncommon, which is fine.

For you at 7dpo could be implantation or could be negative indicator, who knows.

I don't know how scientific that article is but sounds like sadly we both just have to wait and see xx

AdrianaWeatherwax · 23/06/2017 12:40

Do you temp Magpie? Implantation is often shown as a sudden, one day drop in BBT.

Magpie24 · 23/06/2017 12:29

@McTufty fingers crossed for both of us!! Sounds like we're in a similar boat

McTufty · 23/06/2017 12:23

Hi magpie no I don't think so - 7dpo is prime territory for implantation but I can't have implantation 3dpo! It could be early AF (I hope not as a 3 day luteal phase would fuck me), it could be just hormonal as I'm recently off the pill or could be a bad sign of just about anything really.

I hope yours turns out to be implantation bleeding! You never knkw

Magpie24 · 23/06/2017 12:23

@AdrianaWeatherwax I thought so at first but it's heavier today so I think AF. I was on the pill for 9 years and before that had fairly short cycles (from what I can remember, not sure I really paid much attention to them), so I'm a bit miffed that they seem to be coming back short

AdrianaWeatherwax · 23/06/2017 12:21

Could it be implantation Magpie?

Magpie24 · 23/06/2017 12:18

@McTufty I think your spotting sounds more promising that mine given how close to ovulation it is?

Magpie24 · 23/06/2017 12:17

So my period was due on 28th so I'm quite early. According to Ovia my ovulation day was 16th so 7DPO ish?

I stopped taking the pill fairly recently yes, this is only my second period after stopping. I hope my cycles don't end up 23 days though as I think that's too short to easily conceive.
