Amazing news @lokelani - how exciting!!!

I mentioned to DH last night we should be DTD every couple of days and he didn't look too impressed. Don't think there will be much luck with me getting a BFP anytime soon!

Hi everyone :),

I'm a newbie who has just joined and am looking for some people to share my TTC journey with!

Bit of background, I've been married for nearly a year now but been with my husband since we were 14 :).

We have been TTC now for 8 months with no joy unfortunately.

I've tried ovulating testing some months, just trying other months, SMEP some months!!

Hoping it will happen really soon as we would like to have a baby before I turn 30 next year!

If anyone else is looking for a TTC buddy let me known :D

Yeah I just went in and said 'don't freak out'. After an initial state of disbelief and questioning how it happened so fast, he is really pleased!

Yaaaaaayyy congratulations! What amazing news!! You could just wake him up by prodding him with the stick you just peed on - sure he'd appreciate it!

@HolySchmoly agreed. I told myself I wouldn't get crazy about it, but at the moment I'm checking and updating my Flo app about 15 times a day! Getting obsessive now, really need a distraction...

Also, interesting thing I found out - apparently you shouldn't take ibroprofen when TTC or up duffed, paracetamol is much safer. Little tip for you all!

According to Clue my fertile window starts on the seventh. We've been DTD every day since Saturday and will probably keep going for another week. I know it's not necessary, but it's a fun habit to get into and can't hurt!
I'm trying hard not to get too into it, but it's hard to remain calm, isn't it?

My AF is due today! So far no sign!!! Which is strange!!

Not yet. I went to boots at lunch about a Frer so tonight's the night! (If AF doesn't appear before then!)

@Florence16 , give yourself a few months as it can take up to 6 months to get a regular cycle again!
Best way of tracking ovulation is to look out for an egg white mucus. This mucus is fertile mucus around ovulation. Put some between fingers and pull apart, if it stretches like egg whites then chances are your at best time to try for baby!
Easiest thing to do is to Do the deed every few days so that you target the date of ovulation without being to concouious of the day if that makes sense? As sperm lives up to 6 days, it's the best way of targeting ovulation day! Plus it means your not focussing on DTD around ovulation only!

Envious of everyone talking about having O'd! Having just come off the pill I'm worried that my body might not even know to ovulate anymore can't really hazard a guess as to when my AF would be due because I wasn't especially regular when I was last off it a couple years ago. I guess I'll therefore roll with 28 days...Can just imagine my luck having a hugely long cycle and false hope building, which would be rotten. 28 days would mean 22nd July, so we shall see what happens!

I'm at work and I really don't wanna be here. I keep nipping to the loo! Still nothing. I've checked my app and I'm actually day 41. If I'm late that means I'm 17dpo. Or this is just a long tortuous cycle! I feel so irritated I'm starting to think it's pms!

Morning ladies, the witch appeared today and I'm off to work dosed with painkillers :( not too surprised, I didn't feel very lucky this time. DH silent about it :S @lokelani and @MissyEm fx for a bfp for you both! See yas when I come out of hiding x

@lokelani - I'm using the app i was using for my AF tracker before we started TTC. It tells me date of ovulation and fertile days and i can track when we DTD, etc. It's a nice little app really.

@Bumpkin21 - Argh, I'm so nervous. Glad we can be nervous together! Good luck! I go on holiday on the day AF is due so there are now 2 reasons that i don't want her to arrive.

@ddgeville - we're due AF on the same day, so we can both be nervous together!

@MissyEm - good luck sitting in your hands, you have more patience than me. Fingers crossed for you!

CD 25 DPO 11. Is the witch going to turn up tomorrow. I am sad nervous at the thought of seeing a BFN and AF. I have had what I think were ovulation symptoms but it seems to have settled now. Boy this is tough. Do I wait for her to turn up?

Hi @ddegville welcome! It's going to be a long couple of weeks for you I'm sure. Are you tracking everything with an app?

By way of an update for me I'm now cycle day 40 still no AF. I said to DH at dinner on Friday I thought I should do a test and he freaked out. To be fair I've been saying this could take up to a year so to be saying that in the first cycle threw him and he was worried we had ruined our lives already. So I left it for a few days. I didn't want to test in this time incase there is a BFP! I brought it up again last night and he asked me (calmly) when I can do a test. So I said if there were no signs today I'd take one. I'll give it the day at work and if nothing test tonight. Eek! I'm feeling really tired I've been back from my travels for a week now so this can't be jet lag still? My boobs are so tender and heavy. I feel an underlying sense of nausea too...

Hello everyone. Hope you don't mind me joining in here. Me and my partner of 8 years have decided now is the time to start a family. This is our first cycle of trying. Calculated my ovulation date as Saturday 1st July so I'm now 2 dpo. I've never wanted to get to AF due date so quickly before! AF due on 15th July and the anticipation is killing me. If it's killing me now goodness knows what I'll be like in a few months if it doesn't happen before then!

Magpie24 I have the opposite feeling... Last 3 cycles have been 46, 38, and 53 days ... Currently CD54. Some pms symptoms now so she may hurry up!

@Bumpkin21 welcome!! I am also 28 and TTC #1.

@teaandshortbread I'm the same. My cycles have been irregular since coming off the pill, first one 28 days second one 23 days. Hope they get a bit longer as I worry a 23 day cycle is a bit short for conception.

I'm on cycle 3 too Magpie24 - it's still early days but I'm going insane waiting for AF to show up... Whenever that might be

28, first time TTC, cycle #1, should be able to test on the 17th. Or maybe the 15th if I give in and test early!

I've been waiting ages for DH to be ready, so have read all I can, done as much googling and prep as possible, and hoping to get this BFP asap now he's ready!

Hi ladies, I have a question. With tracking my temperature for predicting ovulation do I need to take my temp at exactly the same time every day? Or is half an hour or so difference alright? Thank you!
