Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

Also, I was a little bit damp down there and inside (sorry tmi) yesterday, I'm so confused!!

Charchar23 · 06/07/2017 14:28

Welcome welcome welcome @funnygirlthatbelle
Welcome to the forum!!
Congrats on taking the step to TTC! And congrats on your upcoming marriage!!!

Also quick question everyone!!!
So me and DH decided going back a week and a half ago to start TTC. My cycles are always predictable for me, however this month has been a weird one!
Now, what are the chances of ovulating later? Me and DH DTD on 28th of June, AF was due on the 4th of July! And yet no sign of the witch?! Usually I cramp about 1hr before coming on, i have had cramping on and off recently, which I thought would be AF showing her face, but nothing!!!!
Took a PRegnancy test, and negative.
Ummm puzzled!!!

funnygirlthatbelle · 06/07/2017 13:01

Hi everyone! Can i please join this lovely thread? Me and my Husband to be (getting married in August) are TTC for the first time :-) I've been tracking my cycles on Glow and Ovia for a whole now and it looks as though I will be ovulating week commencing 17th July! Exciting!

Shanners123 · 06/07/2017 09:58

I meant... Have you any symptoms? Booming autocorrect!

Shanners123 · 06/07/2017 09:56

@missy Its hard but I imagine you're gonna have to wait a day or two. If AF doesn't show then do another test. Ha well you any symptoms? Got everything crossed for you!

Also, what is a blue dye and pink dye?

MissyEm · 06/07/2017 07:43

It's so hard when AF isn't here but you have a BFN. I am totally thrown now on what to think or when my next window will be.

BFN yesterday and today. According to Ovia AF was due yesterday.

Any advise? Freaking out here! Confused

teaandshortbread · 05/07/2017 23:47

They have always been long and irregular but was on BCP for years which stopped me thinking about it. Thanks, I think that's a good idea.

Haha, it's a nerve wrecking time all this waiting isnt it!

HolyShmoly · 05/07/2017 22:47

Have they been consistently long or all over the place? Maybe wait and do one on Saturday morning, then you have the weekend to either celebrate or have a few drinks and a reset, depending on the results? It'll also give you another few days to see if AF arrives properly.

I'm not due to ovulate for another couple days, I don't think I've ever been as impatient for a weekend in my life!

teaandshortbread · 05/07/2017 22:15

@holyschmoly I don't want to waste money on a test if it's going to turn into full AF soon. I suppose I should put myself out of my misery though.
I just have this fear in the back of my mind that I have hormone imbalance or pcos. My last 3 cycles has been a very long time (since February). Just feeling so down the eejit that i am lol.

Bumpkin21 · 05/07/2017 22:02

@Magpie - could be a symptom!
This site is great for symptom spotting - shows which days symptoms tend to appear: www.countdowntopregnancy.com/early-pregnancy-symptoms/symptoms-by-day-past-ovulation.php

HolyShmoly · 05/07/2017 21:25

tea is it possibly implantation bleeding? Is it worth doing a test just to double check?

teaandshortbread · 05/07/2017 20:50

hey just a quick question ladies... i thought my AF came yesterday but it was (TMI warning) brown coloured spotting which i didn't think a lot about. i put a cup in and went on my merry way, but after 2 days it's def not like a normal period for me - i have now stopped cramping altogether, no other period symptoms and there is only a tiny drop in my cup, not red blood as usual still brown. I have always had very heavy and painful AFs and am now a bit confused. Has anyone else had this? I feel like going back to GP but she was really dismissive last time i spoke to her and said my long cycles were just 'my' normal. Duno why I'm posting really I just need reassurance or something.

@Lokelani congrats!! lovely news. i leave this board for one day..... lol

MissyEm · 05/07/2017 20:30

12dpo CD 25 AF due today, no sign. I only came off the pill April 29th so I don't know what's normal yet? No symptoms to shout about really. Confused.Com confused

I caved and did a blue dye test, negative. Do I do a pink dye test tomorrow if she still doesn't show. Don't want waste or do them too often.

Magpie24 · 05/07/2017 14:07

Hi ladies. Loss of appetite for me today... could this be an early pregnancy sign? I do love a symptom spotting session!

Am approx 6/7 DPO although I'm not 100% sure when I ovulate.

Welcome to the new people in the thread!

Bumpkin21 · 05/07/2017 11:14

@shanners123 just started trying this month, but it's taken months of waiting until DH was ready, so I did a lot of research in the meantime!
Haven't tried pre seed but it's one for the list of things to try if the first few months don't work.

Shanners123 · 05/07/2017 10:24

Also.. Question. Anyone used Pre Seed or conceive plus and thoughts on it??? Have been researching on Amazon but can't help but think so many of the reviews must be fake.. Is it a con?

Shanners123 · 05/07/2017 10:21

Morning all! bubbletee you've inspired me.. Didn't know what SMEP was so been researching in work haha! Just drew up a plan for July. Let's do this!
Thanks bumpkin have you been trying for long?

Bumpkin21 · 05/07/2017 07:20

HolySchmoly - I've heard it just doesn't improve your chances, as sperm can easily live for 2-3 days. So highest chances are if you DTD every other day, and doing it every day doesn't increase chances any further. Don't think it hinders though!

Charchar23 · 04/07/2017 23:04

I bet you are!! Haha!! I guess call drs to confirm and go from there! So pleased for you x

lokelani · 04/07/2017 22:24

Thanks! A tad shocked. Not sure what to do now!

Charchar23 · 04/07/2017 22:20

Awwww yayyy!!!
See I told you @lokelani!!
Eeeeek so happy for you!!!!!!

HolyShmoly · 04/07/2017 22:08

bubbletrea what do you find better about the pink pad app? I don't really know what to look for in the apps so just went for the one I'd heard most about.

lokelani that's great news!

Maybe a stupid question, but is there a reason why you're meant to dtd every other day instead of every day? Other than the risk of exhaustion!

Bumpkin21 · 04/07/2017 21:42

@Lokelani great to hear he's happy with the news, and have a lovely evening together basking in all the excitement!

Welcome bubbletee and shanners!

Shanners - it took me so long to persuade DH to start trying that I've had months to soak up info and I feel like a walking encyclopaedia at the moment. (Time will tell as to whether I know enough to get a BFP!) So ask away! If you're unusually early and it's v light it could be implantation bleeding, so don't give up hope on this round yet!

BubbleTee22 · 04/07/2017 21:37

Shanners I'm trying SMEP again this month. Read really good things about it but just have to be consistent! I use pink pad app to track too, preferred it to clue :)

Shanners123 · 04/07/2017 21:23

Hi Bubbletee and all you inspiring ladies! I am also new to the whole ttc experience. Just finished my first round with a resounding thump.. AF arrived today, 2 days early! Was planning on taking a test tomorrow but guess I can save that for next cycle.Confused
Bit of background.. I turned 30 in May, OH is 29 and we're both super keen to get a BFP now our lives are a little more sorted. Getting my head round everything to do with getting upduffed is crazy, harder than I thought!
Have just downloaded Clue app on the back of recommendations. Any other tips? Ladies who have got pregnant since this thread started at the end of May - did you do anything special that's worth a try?
Feel like a baby making sponge atm so all info is welcome Smile
