Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

Hello, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding OP. Very exciting!
I'm 36, started TTC#1 almost a year ago. It finally worked in Feb, but then miscarried 6 weeks later.
AF arrived today with a vengeance! (2nd one since mc), and I think once the b*tch is gone, we're going to start again...
Good luck everyone Smile

FrowningFlamingo · 06/06/2017 18:44

Symptom free today. Very hungry and eating lots of bad food but that's not entirely out of the usual Blush
I'm very worried about work, magpie I'm due to start a new role in august and work for a very small business so me going off will have quite a negative impact. I'm feeling very guilty about taking the role and it very nearly put me off TTC. But then what if I turn t down and struggle to TTC or it doesn't happen for us in the end. Very worried about hiding early pregnancy symptoms though - I'd ideally like to be established a bit in the new role before letting on.

MummyGofboys, 6 weeks, ok, wow I am really impatient then as a 2 week wait is driving me scatty!

I am such a planner and a list maker plus my job means everything is forward thinking, so I just need to know GrinConfused

MummyGofboys · 06/06/2017 18:10

@MissyEm I have been through it twice and can't remember having anything until about 6 weeks but that may have been because I didn't pay attention just went with the flow. This time I'm paying such close attention to everything that I may be overthinking things this time round xx

MissyEm · 06/06/2017 18:00

Is it Friday yet?! Not sure I can hold out until then. Cramps are less frequent now......not sure how to read into that. I am trying not to work myself up but I am!

Any advice from ladies who have been through the TTC Journey before?

AdrianaWeatherwax · 06/06/2017 17:18

So many typos. yawns

AdrianaWeatherwax · 06/06/2017 17:16

mrstobe wedding are stupidly stressful no matter what way you do them, it's madness. but it'll aaaaaall come together and you'll have a wonderful day :-)

Good luck to everyone waiting to test! And if you've tested early good luck for the next one :-)

Yes Magpie I totally have thought about it; in a logistical sense. Only 2 single toilets for a whole floor of women. So not only if it often occupied for ages it's right next door to my manager's office - you can hear people having a wee never mind throwing their guts up.

MummyGofboys · 06/06/2017 15:29

Hi @Clickypenguin02 I conceived in the first cycle with both my boys so you could be the same. 8 days until I can test.

@Mrstobe90 it was silly to test lol I just really wanted too even though I knew it would be negative at this point lol. oh I hope so. We would be due February eeek. Fingers crossed for us all.

Clickypenguin02 · 06/06/2017 15:20

Hi ladies, if you don't mind I'm joining late too. Me (29) and DH (29) have been together six years and we've only been trying for a week. Been DTD like crazy but I still have 14 days before aunt flo is due.

How's everyone feeling about their wait? I know it's probably not likely that's we'll get a bfp first time but I'm hoping we're the exception!

How long has everyone got until they test? I've promised DH that I won't test until 30 June by then it should be well after my period is due.

Thanks for letting me join in.Smile

Mrstobe90 · 06/06/2017 14:34

MummyG Most tests can test 4-5 days early max so don't let the neg test get you down! I'm not due to poas for 10 days but took one today just to check before we go away tomorrow as wouldn't want to drink if I had a positive.
nausea sounds promising! I so hope this is our month

@Mrstobe90 fingers crossed guy can sort it out. You won't be caring when you in your dress and heading to he venue. They are some good symptoms. I still have cramping and a little nauseous but that's it. I was stupid and done a test yesterday which of course was negative. I'm not due to test for 8 days.

Welcome @Triskaidekaphilia sorry ad arrived. Fingers crossed for this cycle

Mrstobe90 · 06/06/2017 11:39

McTufty unfortunately family have already helped financially so can't ask for any more. I'll make it work somehow :) And DH keeps saying he can't wait til the day after the wedding when it's all bloody done with ahaha

Triska Welcome :) Congratulations on your wedding! Sorry AF has turned up but maybe this cycle will be the one.

What is everyone's symptoms today?
Mine are - boobs are even bigger but less sore. They really don't even come close to fitting in my bra, sharp stabbing pain in lower left abdomen and (sorry tmi) but lots of watery CM.
After reading up on CM throughout your cycle, I learned that after ovulation you sort of 'dry up' but if you're pregnant, you get more. Lets hope it's the latter :)

Triskaidekaphilia · 06/06/2017 01:59

I'd like to join you :) DH and I are both 27, last month was our first month of trying. After 4 BFNs and countless symptoms, AF showed up this weekend, a week later than I was anticipating (think my cycle is 35-40 days now!) so on second cycle now. This month I'm going to start using OPKs so I can get a better idea of what's going on.

We got married last autumn and this time last year I was loving the planning but super stressed about the money side, so I know what you're going through. By the time it gets to the day it'll all be worth it though!

McTufty · 06/06/2017 00:33

mrstobe

The last weeks before the wedding are always fraught! It's partly why couples look so happy on their wedding, because it has all come together! Is there a family member that can help you out if you work out a repayment plan?

missyem four days to go, everything crossed for you!

frowningflamingo that's quite early for menstrual cramps, you never know, could be pregnancy cramps? Here's hoping!

dinosaur that could be a very good sign! From what I've read, implantation is about a week post ovulation and can cause cramping!

I have mild menstrual cramps but its 20 days since my last pill and know knows where that puts me but it might put me in the window if I ovulated straight away or earlier than 14 days. Then again I was having cramps before so 🤔

Mrstobe90 · 05/06/2017 23:30

I think it's because it's anonymous as well. I wouldn't want anyone that I know to be aware that I'm trying or that some of the wedding stuff is getting me down. My husband always says, "unless they're close friends or family, people don't care when you're happy and want to be nosey when you're down" so I don't share anything personal if I can help it as it's very true.

I really hope this month is the month for us all too. Fingers and toes crossed (but legs stay open Wink haha)

You girls have some good positivity vibes, you are helping me through these 2 weeks 4 days to go!

Mrstobe90 it will be the best day of your life and the stress through planning will quickly become forgotten. Have faith and lean on your bridesmaids, family and friends where possible.

Good night Ladies.

FrowningFlamingo · 05/06/2017 23:27

Oh no mrs, is there anything you can put off paying slightly? Without wishing to sound grabby you may well get some cash wedding gifts, we were amazed how generous people were.
I feel very pre menstrual today. I'm due on Saturday, have a feeling this won't be my month! Keeping fingers crossed still anyway!

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 05/06/2017 23:02

mrstobe I completely know what you mean- there's nobody to judge you on here based on previous notions so have more freedom to express how you feel- it's great!! I think especially on lovely topics such as weddings and babies!! Eeek I'd be so excited if we all got our bfp on the June bus!!

Mrstobe90 · 05/06/2017 22:56

lovelydino Thank you! I hate airing my dirty laundry in public but just needed to vent. I'd never dream about putting anything to do with my life on facebook! For some reason, this site just feels safer :)

and ooooooh! Exciting! I too have been getting very very mild "cramps" that aren't like AF cramps. I so hope this is our month. Give it 2 weeks (or maybe a little less) and if AF hasn't turned up, POAS.
I'm apparently only 3dpo so have no idea why I'd be getting symptoms now. My boobs genuinely don't fit in my bra anymore they're that huge!

OP posts:
TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 05/06/2017 22:48

Mrstobe90 Sending big hugs!! Everything will work out just fine. You'll get the money situation sorted I'm sure.
Also remember not to stress over the minor details as you'll be walking around in a beautiful bridal bubble and won't even notice half of the things you fretted over (that's in my experience anyway!)

So I've been having some strange old 'feelings' this evening. I've been having a funny fluttering feeling in my lower abdomen- almost like 'butterflies'. I'm also been having slight achey/crampy feelings- a little like AF pains but not quite the same and its only very slight, but enough to notice and I've not had anything like that before. Also not due AF until 15th and I'm usually bang on.... does anyone know if this sounds anything like pregnancy related symptoms? I've not been able to accurately asses ovulation so couldn't tell you exactly how many dpo I am but putting ovia and period planner together, I overlap on 29th/30th May which would make me approx 6-7 dpo

Mrstobe90 · 05/06/2017 22:10

I really hope so too! And we completely forgot about it! We thought we'd paid it but hadn't. :( oops

OP posts:
MummyGofboys · 05/06/2017 21:33

Oh no @Mrstobe90 that's awful. I hope the sellers get back to you in the morning and they can sort it out. Did you not know of the extra cash needing paid? Xx

Mrstobe90 · 05/06/2017 21:27

I'm not normally one to whinge in public but I'm having a really stressful evening :(
Stuff hasn't turned up for the wedding and the sellers aren't responding to messages, we're going away on wednesday and some stuff we've bought for it isn't great and we've just found out we still need to fork out over a grand for the big day and we just don't know how we're going to do it. Feeling really down right now! Sorry for being a misery guts! I just needed to get it off my chest xx
