Hi,

This is all very new to me so would like to make some TTC buddies :)

Let me tell you a little about myself:
Been with my SO for 2 years now and we're getting married in 31 days! I'm 26 (nearly 27) and my hubby2b is 35. We bought a house last year and feel like now is a good time to start a family!

This is my first cycle and I'm really excited but trying not to get my hopes up as seen that it's harder than it looks.

Any advice would be appreciated :) xxx

Just completed tough mudder. Post that was hard. Had to skip three out of twenty five obstacles as too dangerous for sprog. Shattered now.

Thank you @Mrstobe90 and @Magpie24.

@Mrstobe90 how are you feeling?

@Magpie24 Could be. I had implantation bleeding not long after ovulation so it possibly could be. How exciting xx

Magpie24 · 17/06/2017 15:28

Can't believe how much good news there has been here since I've been on (busy at work). Truly amazing. Congratulations to everyone who got their BFPs!

@Mrstobe90 do you think people will suspect when you don't have a drink at your wedding? So exciting.

Few days past ovulation here (cycle 2) and been very emotional and weepy for past two days, early pregnancy symptom?! Trying to be hopeful!

AdrianaWeatherwax · 17/06/2017 12:26

Right, WTF. Clearblue OPK says high SIX days in a row despite no peak, and today I've creamy CM but it's still says high (despite that I can hardly see any line with my eyes.).

I'm starting to call bullshit on these tests.

Mrstobe90 · 16/06/2017 23:55

MummyG Dinosaur CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We'll all be due at the same time

Eeek! I feel the positive-ness of this thread! Congratulations both!

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 21:14

Thank you @FrowningFlamingo. Haha nothing wrong with a little bit of nautical clothing. Enjoy 😊😊

FrowningFlamingo · 16/06/2017 21:12

Ooo I look away for a second and there's loads of good news! Massive congrats dinosaur and MummyG! That's a good going BFP there!
Oops, sorry McTufty and fefi! Must pay more attention...

Don't worry too much about those repeat tests - the nature of all these hormones is that they fluctuate so it's really common to need a retest to make a proper conclusion :)

On my way to the boat now. I've deliberately only packed nautical striped clothing to wind up my father in law Grin. Apparently I embarrass him in front of all his posh boating friends...

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 19:40

Finally let me load it. Thank you @TheLovelyOtherDinosaur

Got it, keep calm and dance on Grin It's going to be a good week ahead! Easter Smile

TheLovelyOtherDinosaur · 16/06/2017 17:16

Yey mummyG x2 BFP in a day!! Congratulations!!

AdrianaWeatherwax · 16/06/2017 16:46

(At least that's what I've come to understand - please correct me if that's a load of shite!)

High OPK 5 days in a now but no peak yet...

AdrianaWeatherwax · 16/06/2017 15:45

(We DTD regardless of OPK as a) not 100% reliable and b) don't want the outcome of a negative test to impact my mood/ depress me etc etc or testing obsession will be all consuming)

AdrianaWeatherwax · 16/06/2017 15:43

missy
sorry, I did a poor job of explaining that haha, shag any time! It's just the OPK will have a better chance of detecting the hormones later on (even 5pm) - the thing about OPK is that sometimes they don't detect the hormones even though you are in fact ovulating (levels too low to be read, but everything still in working order) - that's what I've read in many instances here on the boards. That's why it's helpful to not rely on them too much.

Rule no1: shag as often as possible 😂

MissyEm · 16/06/2017 15:36

Ok, I will try that. Feeling positive about this coming week after so much good news on this thread this week! Cant do much about a smiley face mid afternoon though Confused @Adrianaweatherwax. How long is the surge window of opportunity is it a matter of hours or do you have the rest of the day DTD

AdrianaWeatherwax · 16/06/2017 15:17

Fx for the blood tests Fairy. I ignored Ovia and just started testing 2 days after end of AF. What time of day do you test?

I would test in the afternoon Missy, my morning ones were negative but afternoon (after 1pm) flashing smiley. Something to do with a surge in the morning but not detectable until afternoon ? Took months however, as I used to test after lunch and get negatives also.

MissyEm · 16/06/2017 14:34

Yeah I plan to use it has of tomorrow as had first site of sticky CM today.

Is it enough to test with the OPK in the morning first thing or can the result change during the day?

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 14:17

Thank you @MissyEm. Fingers crossed for everyone testing this weekend

FairyAnn · 16/06/2017 14:12

I do, although I think mine is out of the average sync. I've been using ovulation sticks all though my designated fertile period but they've all come out extremely low.

Hence the blood tests

AdrianaWeatherwax · 16/06/2017 12:48

Did you guys use Ovia to calculate O?

MissyEm · 16/06/2017 12:45

Lots of BFP dust going on this weekend.

That's great news @MummyGofboys.

Will there be any more good news stories this weekend I wonder.......?

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 12:36

@McTufty Just put it all into ovia pregnancy and I'm apparently four weeks today so that's maybe why Iv not had a positive until today. Xx

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 12:25

@McTufty it's so strange because Iv always used clear blue digital and the day i was due had a positive. Not this time so I don't really trust them now. Strange. Will upload a pic of test once it lets me. Said Iv uploaded to many 😩😩

McTufty · 16/06/2017 12:23

Ah. Apparently the digital ones aren't very sensitive is that right? Still seems strange but who cares I'm really pleased it turned out well!

I ask only because I was reading up on whether tests actually are 99% accurate on the day of the missed period or not - apparently they're not so interesting the experience you've had!

MummyGofboys · 16/06/2017 12:12

Thank you @FairyAnn

@McTufty My most fertile day according to ovia was the 31st of May. I had spotting on the 2nd and 3rd. I used clear blue digital tests and none of them picked it up. Ordered a pack of two first response and it picked it up today. Iv felt rotten for a week and a half. I'm trying to upload a picture but it won't let me do will try tonight.

McTufty · 16/06/2017 12:07

mummyG that's amazing! Remind me how many DPO you are? So strange it was negative even a couple of days after missed period! What test did you use? Aaaarhh so excited for you!

fairyAnn

Welcome! Sorry it's been taking a while for you. I echo what adriana says, redoing a test isn't indicative of a problem, more that something may be inconclusive or even that the lab messed up. Stick around and let us know how you get on Flowers
