How Long Did You Take To Get Pregnant?

Hi...

I am currently in my first month of TTC. I was on the contraceptive pill before this and I have had one period. I use an App to track when I should be ovulating and believe I just did last week. I DTD 4/6 days of ovulating...

I just want to see what other people's experience with how quickly they conceived.

I am 21 years old and healthy.

Thanks

It always seems to be the people 'trying' and tracking. Can have difficulty because you're stressing.

Has it really never occurred to you that people try because they're not having any luck rather than that they have no luck because they're actively trying? I'd love to be able to relax about it all but a year and three miscarriages has taken a lot out of me, and my ability to chill about it all is one of those things that fell by the wayside.

First was a honeymoon baby at 31, so first month trying. 2nd and 3rd at 32 and 34 were first month trying and now 4th at 35 was an accident when we were actively trying not to get pregnant. We are very lucky to have never had any trouble.

33 and came off the pill had 3 weirdly long/short cycles and a BFP which ended in MMC at 10 weeks. Currently on cycle 10.

I say, at this point, you've just come off the pill & your body will be doing all magical stuff. Enjoy the sex, stress less about everything else. X

29 and took 3 months. First month I had a chemical pregnancy. Second month we didn't try as much and the 3rd was our time. I used the Natural Cycles app to measure my temp and it was spot on despite not having much data. My due date works out to the day of ovulation it predicted exactly!

Jadey21 · 29/07/2017 14:53

@MotherofBoy I've just complete cycle 3 so hopefully it's my turn too I honestly don't feel like I am or suspect anything but it's only a few days after ov for me. I'm trying not to symptom spot this time xx

MotherofBoy · 29/07/2017 14:40

Not yet jadey :( currently in tww for cycle 6...

summerson · 29/07/2017 14:35

2.5 years and one round of IVF

Jadey21 · 29/07/2017 14:30

@MotherofBoy have you been successful yet? ❤️

MrsCharlieD · 30/05/2017 18:58

I'm 33 and had ds at 30 after 4 years of trying. Currently 20 weeks with ds2 and he took 7 months of ttc. No reason why second time took so much less, just one of those things.

miraflores81 · 30/05/2017 17:40

20 months! Age 35 "unexplained infertility" was just about to start ivf! It happened a month after hsg so wonder if that had something to do with it(although my tubes were fine)

EllaNB · 30/05/2017 15:07

25 - I was on the pill but the contraception failed in December. It was a bit of a shock but I'm so excited for my babies to arrive soon (twin pregnancy).

Good luck!

(Also I would resist testing again until your period is missed)

JadeC96 · 30/05/2017 14:56

@LoveRainbow02 the negative was a very strong line. I will retest next week if my period is missed. Xx

33 - 18 months. Had to wait for pill to fully leave my system.

Good luck OP!

LoveRainbow02 · 30/05/2017 14:34

@JadeC96 I would test again closer to when your period is due or if you miss your period. False negatives are common if done too early.

JadeC96 · 30/05/2017 14:30

*Hi everyone.

I took a test today and got a BFN.
It was not my first wee of the day and I did take a clear blue early detection test and my period is due in 6 days.

Do you think this could still be a false negative?

I have had pains in my pelvic area like a constant period pain for a few days and my nipples have been sore to touch.

I was 26 with first, took one month.

28 with second, took 2 months after I'd come off mini pill.

JadeC96 · 29/05/2017 14:45

@LoveRainbow02 fingers crossed and good luck🍀💕

About 2 weeks after giving up the pill both times. In my 20s.

MissWilmottsGhost · 29/05/2017 14:32

7 years + IVF.

Sometimes life does not go to plan.

LoveRainbow02 · 29/05/2017 14:27

@JadeC96 I'm due to test in 7 days also 😊

JadeC96 · 29/05/2017 14:25

Age 31, DC1 - 7 months
Age 34, DC2 - 1 month
No difference in my health or weight. I expected DC2 to take a year for some reason, probably because I was older so the BFP was a bit of a shock. I know I was very lucky. It's not something you can predict easily.

minniebear · 29/05/2017 14:09

First month both times-we were very lucky!

MotherofBoy · 29/05/2017 14:06

Age 23 - conceived DS on cycle 2 after pill (only one natural af)
Age 26 - ttc #2 and am on cycle 4 atm

LoveRainbow02 · 29/05/2017 09:26

Sk1pper I found it extremely hard to go on after my mc. I was at the 2 year mark when I conceived so to then lose the baby was a huge devastating blow. As the months have went on it's got a little easier. Family member announced she's pregnant accidentally and fell right after I lost my baby which was a big shock.

I'm scheduled for IUI for unexplained infertility around end of July/august to that's what I'm focusing on now.
