My 2WW was cut short by AF 😞😞😞😞

Twistedsister7 · 14/06/2017 16:37

Welcome back @passmethewine123

Sorry to all those still with no BFP. I'm still there with you I'm sad to say although been off here for a little. I think I've caught up though.

I'm in tww, who's there & who is testing soon?

Vicsteur81 · 12/06/2017 21:50

Fingers and toes crossed for you @Flatwhite

littleemma1 · 12/06/2017 21:19

@flatwhite I take primrose oil but not sure if it makes a difference but I'm scared to stop taking it hahaha. Wedding planning coming along nicely, just had the official deposit figures through from the venue today 😬 Xx

Flatwhite31 · 12/06/2017 19:48

Hi ladies! Well my clear blue digital was a circle (negative) today (it won't let you test for 48 hours once you've had a solid smiley). I think we only just caught the surge, but given the lack of ewcm, I'm wondering if I even ovulated! I did get cramps, but I always get them! Who knows. Will just have to wait and see. Am also getting sore boobs most days every month. I have heard evening primrose oil can help with that, so may give that a go.
Shame you have to wait until August @littleemma1. How's wedding planning going? I loved it!
@Vicsteur, sorry to hear about the BFNs. Hope you get an answer soon!

littleemma1 · 12/06/2017 13:58

Hi @vic! I've got my appointment for 3rd August so just a waiting game really 😒 From what they've already said at the docs mines more PCOS than Endo so I don't know what that's going to mean. I've had a look on some of the PCOS boards on here but it's so negative and it's scaring me. Xx

Vicsteur81 · 12/06/2017 12:35

Hey @littleemma1 I had endo surgery last year, my consultant was great. Went back to him in Feb as was having similar symptoms, I have a cyst on my right ovary (which is massive apparently Shock )and adhesion from the surgery. I've been advised pregnancy would be the best thing to help with all my symptoms.
My consultant was really helpful and really positive. I hope you have a positive experience. Any idea when you'll see someone?

AF is currently 2 days late for me, but getting BFN's (not that I'm obsessively testing) just want to know one way or the other now. I've had so many weird aches and pains the last four days. Confused

SophSoph92 · 12/06/2017 10:47

@RSKhan1 I don't take that, only folic acid; but I think it will just ensure your body is in the best condition to give you the best chance of conceiving, it won't actually be the cause of your conception, if that makes sense. It won't be a guaranteed recipe for a baby, so many more factors are needed to be present!

RSKhan1 · 12/06/2017 09:31

How many of you were taking seven seas trying for a baby supplement and got a positive result? confused

littleemma1 · 12/06/2017 09:22

Hi 👋🏻 to all the newbies and good luck in your TTC journeys! 🤞🏼 The girls on here are fantastic and so supportive of each other. I'm currently holding off on TTC as we're getting married next year 😬 so have decided to wait until closer to the time because as I've said previously I don't want to be waddling down the aisle (although I accidentally said waffling last time, but that also works! 😂)
Other info is I have recently been diagnosed with suspected PCOS and Endo so am waiting to go under consultation from a Gyno and see how to improve things... any newbies with similar conditions I would appreciate some advice! Currently on CD46 and no AF, last one was 62 days so at least I haven't hit that point again! Please do keep us all updated and post regularly, support is always good!
I've heard mixed reviews about other supplements but folic acid is definitely recommended 👍🏼
@soph my first month off the pill was HORRENDOUS with PMS symptoms that were matching to PG. it's normal but so annoying!! They've died down now but I think that's down to lack of periods for me 😂 Oh well! Xx

SophSoph92 · 12/06/2017 07:30

It's so hard not to get disheartened... I feel like I'm wishing my late away waiting for the next month to arrive and with it, ovulation! And this 2 week wait is awful.... doesn't help that pregnancy symptoms are largely the same as pre period symptoms! Boobs are killing me and have done since the day after ov, but as far as I know, could well be period signs which are a lot more obvious now I've come off the pill!
Well, I suppose they do say that the one true symptom is a positive test! Was at a wedding this weekend; both bridesmaids were pregnant and guests there with their newborns. It makes my heart ache because I want it to be me next so badly! Completely agree with @Flatwhite31 - I'm about to enter cycle 4 and this is so much harder than I thought it would be...! ConfusedSad

Flatwhite31 · 11/06/2017 19:43

I haven't tried a seven seas supplement! I wouldn't necessarily believe everything you read though. I'm on cycle 4, and realising that getting pregnant is nowhere as easy as I'd thought it'd be!

RSKhan1 · 11/06/2017 19:18

@flatwhite31 so should I just stick to folic acid or change it to seven seas supplement (trying for a baby) as I have read that ladies got pregnant with it in a months time.
Please help! Confused

RSKhan1 · 11/06/2017 19:16

@ttcnovice I have been having folic acid but no luck as yet.

Flatwhite31 · 11/06/2017 19:12

Welcome RSKhan1. I started taking folic acid as soon as I came off the pill in Feb. It's part of my routine now.
Glad you're doing ok @ttcnovice. I think I might have ovulated, as I had pains this morning which have now gone. I might have just missed it, as I didn't OPK before yesterday, so I've no idea if yesterday's very positive OPK was a second day positive or not! Did one earlier and the line was pronounced, but a bit lighter than yesterday's. Given the very short space of time, we only had time to DTD twice! We'll see...

ttcnovice · 11/06/2017 17:48

It's great that you're feeling relaxed @Flatwhite31 - surely that can only help! I'm doing okay thanks, AF arrived today so I'm on cycle 8 now, but not feeling too down about it. I figure there's no point stressing myself out every month!

Welcome @RSKhan1 Smile just start taking it as soon as I would think, they say the best advice is to take folic acid for 3 months before trying. The sooner the better x

RSKhan1 · 11/06/2017 01:28

Hiya, im new to the group as well.
Really need some help, actually I'm ttc and have bought sevens seas trying for a baby supplements. Can anyone of you help
Me? When should I start taking it from?

Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 21:01

Just realised I'm actually on CD 11, not 10! Oops!

Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 20:49

I know @ttcnovice, the line is so dark! We DTD this evening. I was a bit worried DH would feel under pressure, but as we hadn't DTD in a while, he was well up for it, and I needn't have worried! We'll DTD again over the next few days. I'm not holding out any hope though, as we also DTD on CD 10, 11 and 12 of last cycle, and BFN! I did an OPK on CD 12 last cycle, and the line was dark-ish, but nowhere near as dark as this one. I had either missed it on CD 10, or I actually ov'd later, or didn't ov at all. No idea! The nice thing is, all this would have bothered before, but I'm feeling much more relaxed now. Really hope that feeling lasts! Maybe it's all those painkillers I have taken?! Lol. How are you getting on @ttc?

Welcome @Vicsteur81. Hoping AF stays away for you!

Welcome back @SophSoph92.

@MistyBxx, how are you doing? X

MistyBxx · 10/06/2017 15:00

Oh that's good news flatwhite just go for it, have fun and like you say, you've not been stressing about it so whatever happens happens!
vicsteur I would defo get a couple more tests! Get a first response from boots, they're about a tenner but they were 2 for 1 in my boots last week and they're really sensitive!x

Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 10:57

Yes, we are going to DTD tonight, tomorrow and Mon I think, but after I've ov'd we will stop, as the doctor in the hospital said to take it easy this month (and he meant in terms of baby making lol). I'm going to be honest, I'm not overly feeling the urge to DTD as I've been taking a lot of tablets, but hopefully I'll be more in the mood this evening. I'm not going to fool myself that this will be guaranteed to work though! Plenty of women have had positive OPKs only for AF to arrive 2 weeks later.

ttcnovice · 10/06/2017 10:45

@SophSoph92 good to see you posting again! I've heard quite a few people say about the metallic taste symptom, so I think there's definitely something to it.

Welcome @Vicsteur81 Smile

@passmethewine123 Hi pass, good to have you back although sorry to see you're still on the TTC journey of course. What cycle are you up to now?

@Flatwhite31 that's probably one of the most positive OPK's I've ever seen! Are you going to just go for it this month after all? I think it's a sign you getting that after saying you were going to wait

Good luck to everyone else this month!

Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 10:09

This is the Boots OPK. I also have cramps, but weirdly I don't have EWCM, so that's strange. Got the pre-seed ready!

TTC First Time... #3!!
Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 09:45

My boots OPK is positive too. First time I've ever seen a truly positive OPK for me.

Flatwhite31 · 10/06/2017 09:24

Ok ladies, so my clear blue digital OPKs arrived today (had completely forgotten about them! Because I got them on Groupon, they took forever to arrive). Me and DH said to just do one for fun, particularly as I've said I'm not that bothered this month, and a bloody static smiley face has appeared on it! Did not expect that! I'm only on CD 10 as well. The thing is, we DTD on CD 10 and 11 in my last cycle, and it didn't work, so part of me is wondering whether it was either bad luck, or I actually ovulated at a different time last cycle. I tell you something, that accident has been a blessing in disguise, as it has totally distracted me from TTC, and I'm feeling much more chilled about it now. Even if it doesn't work this month, knowing a digi ovulation test detected an LH surge has put my mind at rest. First DTD tonight then since concussion - wish me luck! Lol!
