Oh flat bless you, I know what it's like chick. My nail girl was talking about her own 7nontj baby and a mutual friend who's 14 weeks and I was chatting away with it. She didn't say "oh you're married, when are you having kids then?" Or anything like that, which was a nice change coz that's usually people's fave questions haha xx

I've had white gellish with loose mermaid glitter on top!! It looks blue on the pic but is white in real life! I NEVER get my nails done, they grow so fast, long and strong but I have to keep them short coz I type and I can't stand the clicking 😂 last time I had them done was my wedding so most the time they look shit with me too lol.xx

Love love love your dress @jellybean! Gorgeous.
Well we haven't DTD since Tues, as we've both been shattered! Sometimes life just gets too exhausting! Pretty sure ovulation is over anyway, but we will probably squeeze in another one this weekend anyway.
I feel really emotional today as people at work kept talking about people they know who are pregnant! So silly of me, as I'm only on cycle 3, but other people make it sound so bloody easy!

ttcnovice · 19/05/2017 16:44

What colour are you getting Misty? I'm getting mine done next week so I need inspiration Grin

Pibbee · 19/05/2017 16:23

@Misty I never get my nails done, I want to but always forget/cba. My nails as a result always look a bit shit Grin

MistyBxx · 19/05/2017 15:23

I've seen that ad pibbee lol 🙈 it says something like withdrawal doesn't work etc and 55% of pg are accidental... like HOW?!? It is bonkers lol. Oh I know, I'm trying not to feel stressed about it and chill and focus on the outcome I want BUT I want to do it more lol.
I'm currently sat in the salon waiting to get my nails done. Love a bit of pampering :)

Hello!!!! Phew! I kept trying to post yesterday and it wouldn't work - so annoying!

@Jelly hello fellow Londoner! your dress is amazing and you look fab! Hope you are feeling better soon.

@Misty is it FW for you? Tbh i dont see the point of putting loads of pressure on to DTD allll the time in FW, sometimes (often!)life just gets in the way! Anyway, t'internet says to do it every 2 or 3 days, and dunno about you but my FW is only a few days anyway (less than an actual week Im sure), which would translate to DTD 2 or 3 times max if every other day.

I saw some annoying ad on telly this week for family planning clinics I think, anyway they rolled out this statistic that apparently only 45% of pgs are planned....How do the other 55% manage it!?!?!? Baffling...

charl19 · 19/05/2017 13:54

Yep loud and clear Pibbee! X

Pibbee · 19/05/2017 13:12

I love the puffy mermaid dress! We have just cancelled our wedding abroad for a small ceremony in the U.K, my dress style will have to change for the climate!
Hope you're not coming down with a bug jellybean
Hope everyone has a lovely Friday!

charl19 · 18/05/2017 18:33

Aw thanks misty 😘 although every time it comes round to dtd I always think awwww shall we bother with a condom 😂😂 this ttc is so hard! After MC I thought oh maybe I'm not ready, but it's constantly up and down at the moment!!

Hope you've all had good days xx

MistyBxx · 18/05/2017 18:19

Well I didn't know that about dogs! I had wondered afterwards like there was a big thing before about pandas, it was in the news when this panda got pregnant coz the species weren't reproducing enough and were going extinct... so I guess you're right!

charl please do stick around chicky!! I feel next time will be your lucky time, whenever you decide to go for it :) xx

Thanks ladies, Our plan is also to stop after my last packet then go from there. It was my fertility Dr (been a regular there that last two years - not for TTC) who said I should have a health check with the GP before TTC. Think I will try contacting the fertility Dr and speak with him - he has been amazing!

As for the animals, genuinely part of what I do for a living is fertility testing in dogs. They have ovulation testing for most fertile days - and it can be difficult for them to get pregnant too. They also very commonly self abort, and absorb puppies/kittens. So, not so easy for the animals either!!

charl19 · 18/05/2017 08:25

Hi all!

Flatwhite I didn't bother in the end. Been feeling fine since yesterday so will just write that off, even tho it was slightly weird! We've decided to hold off until around August-September, cos where I started a proper contract in the school I'm in I have to wait until April to get any sort of maternity pay... hopefully you don't mind if I stick around on here tho!!

Chrisprattsface welcome! Not too sure tbh. When I came off the pill I just stopped when I had no packets left, and like misty I caught without tracking and that was straight away. That didn't last either but I think it's different for everyone. I guess you have to decide when you want to start trying and let loose so to speak 😂 x

MistyBxx · 17/05/2017 23:48

chrisprattsface that should have been THEY'RE all shitbags. I'm a blogger and a qualified typist so grammar is important to me and I couldn't let myself get away with that one 😂

MistyBxx · 17/05/2017 23:46

Hi chrisprattsface (great name 😍) hmmm that's a weird one, have you thought about family planning clinics? They may be more helpful than docs. Although I've had a terrible gp experience recently so I'm feeling like their all shitbags lol 😂

flat (and everyone including myself lol) DONT rely wholly on opks. In Feb I opk'd every day for about 20 days, did not get a single positive and got pg... didn't last I know, BUT I caught! Keep an eye out for ewcm is your best bet. And if you don't notice it much, drink plenty of water coz that's said to increase its production. I don't see ewcm every month but had loads earlier today and am only on day 1 of FW according to clue and not even at FW according to ovia. Gonna dtd tonight anyway lol 😂 I'm quite enjoying without testing! Not that I have much choice since I've "misplaced" all my bloody opks 🙈😳 and haven't bought any more. Just gonna get lots of fun in! Hubster took me out to dinner this evening (totally random for him!) and I've had a couple of wines so he is getting rewarded tonight 😂😂😂

Hi Ladies! I haven't read through the previous thread, but wanted to ask about appointments with GP pre TTC. I'm still on contraception, but will be stopping this soon - I rang to make an appointment with my GP after advice from my fertility dr last year (various reproductive health issues) just so me and DP could have a chat and a health check (RE coming off contraception etc) and the receptionist asked what it was regarding, I told her, and she said they don't do that 'type of appointment'. Any ideas? I didn't make the appointment in the end.

Pibbee · 17/05/2017 20:49

@flat i know how you feel with the baby bombs! I feel like such a knob for feeling jealous of them but i cant help it! I am also happy for them too of course.

Why do you suspect you might not be ovulating? Don't let the OPKs make you think that. There's several threads on this board in which it's mentioned that people have def ovulated but their OPKs never went properly positive.

Im on CD9 and according to FF have just started FW but Ovia says next week (I've only just started with Ovia tho so not relying on it much). Me and DP just did a quick DTD as Im away the next few days, might as well get one in there! (RomanticHmmGrin). Typical to be missing most of FW but sod it, can't be helped!

Flatwhite31 · 17/05/2017 19:47

Who knows ladies. I always have this worry at the back of my mind that I'm not ovulating. Have just seen another pregnancy announcement on Facebook. I feel bad that they make me feel sad!

Pibbee · 17/05/2017 18:51

Yeah @flatwhite I think I agree with @ttc although god knows...it looks not quite positive but near enough?!

ttcnovice · 17/05/2017 18:39

Flat I think your OPK from Monday was your positive in all likelihood - like the others though I'm definitely no expert as they bloody confuse me to no end! Sounds like you've covered yourself with your DTD efforts anyway though Wink. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
