Really moving story about the challenges of TTC in today's paper...

How you feeling grumpy?

hopingforabfp · 16/05/2017 12:30

Is anyone else 2dpo today?

DancingUnicorn · 16/05/2017 08:57

Jupiter glad you're having a wonderful, relaxing time. Glad you found a spot of wifi to steal! Thanks BillyandBolly!

Glad you're enjoying the dtd Tigger! Sounds like you have done everything you could have to catch the egg when it comes! Good luck in your exam! 🍀

Think my opk this morning was positive. Will do another when I get in from work, but looking out for ovulation signs again! Hoping the positive can help my mood a little. :s

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/05/2017 08:51

Tigger nice to hear you are feeling relaxed and positive. Good luck with your exam! The garden sounds lovely. Fingers crossed for good weather for your BBQ.

I had a hot bath and am feeling a bit calmer. It's just like a very heavy AF now but coming in waves not constantly (sorry if TMI). My head is very confused about what day date and planet I am on. Luckily I've only got one work call today - this afternoon so I think I'll be ok to do it. Not going to bother doing any other work today, so I'm glad my boss knows.

Tigger83 · 16/05/2017 08:41

Well another flashing smiley for me this morning so on track so far! We seem to be enjoying dtd too much for it to be eod lol Blushlong may it continue. Still feeling like I'm going to ovulate on or around Thursday (my bday!) so feel like it's a positive sign. Feeling much more chilled this cycle just enjoying it a bit more. Off to London for an exam in a bit which I'm dreading but after this one only one more in this module then I move on to the next one.

Think someone asked what I was doing weight loss wise and it's weight watchers, feels like it could be sustainable and healthy to do whilst pregnant too so that's my aim. I'd like to get most of the weight off by August then I can go dress shopping!

The garden is coming on a treat, all my summer plants are in and my veg are doing marvellously well I'll have salad coming out of my ears before I know it and given my current health kick not a minute too soon lol.

Mums still here this week. It seems a bit easier this week compared to last as we're settling into a bit of a routine. Also she went home for one night on Sunday so had a bit of a break. Sorry that sounds mean I love her to bits but she's never stayed in my house for any length of time and I think we both find it odd.

Well it's a beautiful sunny warm day here so far- keep your fingers crossed for the weekend as we're having a BBQ on Saturday and I don't think I'll cram 20+ people into my living room that easily lol

HeyJupiter · 16/05/2017 08:18

Found a tiny bit of wifi, have stolen it from someone with the internet handle BillyandBolly whilst sitting under a tree in some woods. Hope they don't set the dogs on me! Having a very peaceful and tranquil time - so nice to spend some proper time with DH.

Just quick check in to say hi and that I'm thinking of you grumpy and parsnips Flowers You are both so brave and am quite overwhelmed by what you're going through. grumpy really hope the cramping eases off and you've managed to avoid surgery.

orange so sorry to hear about your mum, how shocking and frightening. My mum had breast cancer 15 years ago. Relatively advanced, had full mastectomy, chemo and radiation. She is absolutely fine now (touch wood). Sending you all lots of love 💜It is a very treatable cancer and sounds like she got her diagnosis quickly x

Seven so very sorry about the bfn. It's so horrible seeing the whiteness of the FRER but it is still early days, AF may stay away and it will happen for you whether now or later. Hope you're being kind to yourself.

Just to say to everyone else that I think you're all amazing. Seeing all the support you've been giving over the last few days (and months!) is so heartwarming. Lots of love to all of you, see you in a few days 💜Oh and buzz sounds like you're having a fab time! Wonderful :)

orangefolly · 16/05/2017 08:05

grumpy hope today is easier for you. Woodburner sounds fantastic when it is done!

seven I'm sorry for the BFN love - always a bummer even when you thought you didn't think you were.

parsnips sorry that the family have added to your stress - it's not helpful!

buzz your beach pics look amazing. Glad you're having a great time.

otters ha we got a waffle maker for a wedding present too. I love it - best breakfast!

I'm afraid you lost me at super noodles wilde Grin

mummy have fun at the spa!

otters2017 · 16/05/2017 07:26

Hope the worst is over for you grumpy do take care of yourself. Glad you can find comfort in DD.

Sorry about the bfn seven but it's still early days so there's hope yet

Hope you can sleep better tonight mummy enjoy the spa

Happy Tuesday all Smile

buzzmoon · 16/05/2017 07:26

Morning lovelies!

grumpy glad the worst is over, you're amazing. And love that you're super organised sorting out the house stuff through all this!

seven I'm so hopeful for you!

Bloody love potato waffles, and other waffles and super noodles are life! Literally have them for lunch all the time 😂

mummy hope you enjoy the spa!

We're getting the bus into Palma today for a mooch around :) and then hopefully more relaxing! Are you proud of me girls- 2 of the girls went to bed at 10 (not preggers) and I stayed up till 1am! Can you believe it!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/05/2017 07:17

Had a lovely second bit of sleep with a warm DD in my arms and the cramping has eased a bit. So grateful the worst is over.

DancingUnicorn · 16/05/2017 07:13

Hope the cramping eases soon grumpy and that this means you won't need the surgery. Let dh deal with the wood burning stove people. Do whatever you need to get you through the day today. Thinking of you.

Seven so sorry about the bfn. There's still time, so I'm really hoping it appears. So hard to see though.

Sorry you didn't sleep well mummy. The spa sounds amazing - maybe you can have a little nap while you're there.

Mummyme87 · 16/05/2017 06:45

grumpy you're being so brave, I hope this is almost over for you. I'm glad you're at home with DH.

Sorry for the BFN seven I know that feeling. You will get there.

Awful night sleep in center parcs.. so hot in the rooms. So DS is still asleep and I'm wide awake typically. Swimming this morning followed by spa this afternoon

Seven0fNine · 16/05/2017 06:31

Awww Grumpy I'm so sorry, this is so shit xxx

Bfn here anyway. I was stupid and got my hopes up xxx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/05/2017 06:20

I can't even cry I'm so fed up. At least the main part is out. Waiting for the cramping to pass so I can maybe have a hot bath.

Got the wood burning stove fitters coming at 10:30am 😂 I couldn't waste a week off work.... I'm laughing at myself now at least

NaturWilde · 16/05/2017 06:17

Went to bed early and seems I misssd an evening of retro food, hope and sorrow.

What a thread and what a wonderful group of women!

Potatoes waffles...no! It's all about super noodles (chicken) which I ordered and devoured yesterday!

Good luck to any testers this morning.

My first thought upon opening this thread were with you grumpy. Your instinctual way of going through this, while also using your sharp mind, will get you through. I also work in a tough job, and was a shame for mum god years, so I know you're tough. But don't keep going if what you really need is more rest and bed... hugs to you.

Flowers
TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/05/2017 06:09

Spoke too soon. Cramping horribly.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 16/05/2017 05:10

Managed to calm down and sleep eventually but just been to the loo and I'm pretty sure it has now come out, I didn't look but I'm almost certain (sorry if this upsets anyone). Pain is like bad AF now but not as bad as I thought it would be. DH now making me a cup of tea.

Hoping this means I won't need surgery but if there is any chance anything is left I'll still opt for it.

Seven0fNine · 15/05/2017 22:35

Lots of love Grumpy Hope its over for you soon xxx

I like potato waffles with salad cream.....

Testing in the morning if I remember. I don't know why! I don't think I'm pregnant. Just hopeful the magic lube worked 😂

HbH · 15/05/2017 21:53

Haha otters I'm talking about good old retro potato waffles.... but now i REALLY want a sweet waffle from your maker, with some icecream...& you may aswell throw in a few cupcakes while you're there!! (Just as well I'm too lazy to get up off the sofa & actually seek out something sweet!)

grumpy 😢 Is there any calming yoga techniques you can try and employ to keep you calm? I can imagine the lack of being in control is rough x

Aw dancing don't beat yourself up for drinking/having fun, you completely deserve it & need to get it in before the next time! Wine

otters2017 · 15/05/2017 21:33

grumpy how are you feeling? Are you at home and have you got DH looking after you? I really wish it will happen quickly for you so you can move on.

Gorgeous pics buzz where are you?

charl sounds quite odd indeed, no idea what's going on but definitely get it checked out if it continues.

seven are you testing in the morning?

hb love waffles. It's a special treat at weekends (not every weekend!!) for us. We got a waffle maker for a wedding gift and I love using it every so often. The leftovers freeze well and taste delicious toasted. Mmmmm you're making me crave waffles now.

charl19 · 15/05/2017 21:28

Yeah think I will just have to keep an eye!! My sister is training to be a nurse and she thinks my body might just be adjusting since the MC, although have had a normal period in between she said it could take a while.

Aw grumpy take it easy and look after yourself, try not to panic (I know is easier said than done), much love to you xxx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 15/05/2017 21:18

Urgh this waiting is torture, I'm getting panicky Sad

Seven0fNine · 15/05/2017 21:13

That's a strange on Charl, I've had some pretty messed up afs since coming off the pill but just kinda left them to it. Go to docs if you are worried xxx

Thanks for talking me down girls. I've listened and will test in the morning.. No real symptoms only tired and feeling a bit sick today but that is probably just be cos ive been eating and drinking crap all weekend!

What type of waffles you talking Hb...like potato? Or breakfast variety? X

DancingUnicorn · 15/05/2017 21:09

Charl if it's not usual for you, and it carries on, it's definitely worth asking the question. Not something to feel bad about at all. Hope it improves for you.

Thinking of you grumpy. Hope you are holding up ok. Definitely don't feel bad about buying yourself things.

Just been out for drinks with some friends. Feel so guilty for having alcohol. And just generally feeling crap and miserable. I feel like I need to learn to breathe again, like my body has forgotten how. Sorry for moaning.
