Dancing we’ve told most of our close friends and family and will be telling colleagues at work next week (although I imagine my manager has already spread this around - not the end of the world!) Feels so nice that it’s out in the open. So scared of something going wrong but I guess if it does then people will need to know either way. So glad you’ve got lots to look forward to over the next few weeks, what sort of things have you got planned?

Springer so sorry that the bleeding has continued, you poor thing. Hope you’re looking after yourself this weekend Flowers

Oh biker your story is so moving. Thank you for sharing it with us. It sounds as though you are surrounded by people that are looking after you. You’re amazing and so strong. I will be rooting for you and little biker on Monday. Please do let us all know how it goes.

JB you definitely need a trampolining reference haha :D

grumpy excellent work on stocking up! Love it.

Oh my god seven exactly the same this end. I’ve been full on organisation mode today - our utility room is basically finished so have ordered a tumble dryer, some tiles for the kitchen, a sofa bed for our snug-come-dining room and looking for second hand furniture for the babies room (chest of drawers mainly). I’ve also made a list for our handyman of bits and bobs to do around the house before the baby comes. Basically I've bankrupted us already but I feel SO much better for doing all that. I think we are nesting early aren’t we lovely :)

Time to think about making our evening meal (the ol’ feta cheese and spinach lasagne is coming out again - swear i’m craving it for the folic acid) and start the next season of Breaking Bad. Good times! Have a fab Saturday evening all x

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 16:59

Lol @Seven0fNine I went through similar in the first couple of weeks - husband thought I was pregnant even before I did a HPT! It's good though - keep that energy going! Smile

Seven0fNine · 20/05/2017 16:46

Hello ladies. Massive welcome to dirty and springer but so sorry to hear of your losses.
Dirty what a sad but incredibly moving story and lovely that you have a way to remember her xx Congratulations though on conceiving again so soon and we will help you through Monday xx

Springer I'm so sorry for what you are going through. We are here if you need to rant or talk or just need your mind taking off it xx

Glad you are having a nice weekend Grumpy Can't wait to see a pic of your stoves when they're in. Love your collection of ttc goodies. You need some magic lube for that stash!

Haha JB bless you, hope you can relax the rest of today.

Buzz are you feeling better today?

We've been on a bit of a mission today. DH sold some of his weights on ebay so we went to deliver them and spend the money on a new graphics card for his computer (my eyes are rolling) but it's the last time he's going to get anything nice (if all goes to plan) for a long time and he is in a mega good mood now so that's a bonus!

I am in full cleaning mode...surely it's far too early to be nesting right?! But I can't help it!! Just have an urge to clean and sort and chuck stuff out. I guess it's the only useful thing I can do at the moment.

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 16:35

Thank you 😘

@TheGrumpySquirrel That is a crazy amount of kit - no wonder your OH was shocked on cost 😂 TBF I bought loads as well, every time there was a 3 for 2 deal etc! Where did you order all that from? Was it cheaper than buying them singularly from Boots etc?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 20/05/2017 16:08

Oh biker what a heartbreaking story. That must've been so so difficult especially over the Christmas period. So glad you have your rainbow baby now. I'm sure you must be anxious about the scan but we will all be here to chat you through it. Here's hoping it all goes well ❤️❤️

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 16:03

Thank you everyone 😘 it's actually the first time I've ever typed our story out, so thank you for being so kind.

@Springersprung I had no bleeding or any other symptoms before the ERPC. A little spotting before the procedure after the softening pills. After the procedure I had an AF type bleed (medium flow) and mild cramps for about 2-3 days, and then light spotting for another 3-4. Total lasted about a week. They did a decent job.

otters2017 · 20/05/2017 15:40

How's Saturday going for everyone?

grumpy i missed the post about the babygro -great idea! Love the ideas already and can't think of another one at the moment but will let you know

Springer I bled for about 7/8 days I think. Stopped for a little in the middle of that. But I had surgical management, so I don't know if that affects things. Emotionally, it's still very painful, and always on my mind. But it does get easier.

JB1983 · 20/05/2017 15:05

Welcome biker and springer. So sorry that you both had such difficult experiences. Congratulations biker on your rainbow baby, no wonder you are terrified for your 12 week scan, we will be here to hand hold on Monday.

Glad you are njoyong your weekend away natur

grumpy get haggling for those wood burning stoves

tigger keeping my fingers crossed that the sun stays shining for your BBQ

Hope you pirated out your DS in the end mummy

jupiter static smiley 😂😂. I thinking 'trampolining=bouncing baby' hahaha

Rudely woken up from nightshift slumber by DH having a political debate on the doorstep with a canvasser. Give me strength! 🙈

Springersprung · 20/05/2017 14:53

Thank you so much biker. I'm sorry you have been through this, but pleased there is hope for you now. I didn't quite make it to my scan mc started 5 days before.
So far everything has happened naturally, I haven't had a ercp. I hope you don't mind me asking, and I know it will vary from person to person, but how long did you bleed for after your mc?

DancingUnicorn · 20/05/2017 14:30

Oh biker. Your story gives me so much hope. I also found out at my 12 week scan; it was such a shock as I had no clue at all (apart from, I realise now, far more fear than I should have had for that morning). That was 7 weeks ago. I can completely understand your fear for Monday, but I desperately hope for you that it goes well and you see your perfect little one with a heart beating for you both. ❤️

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 14:29

I meant to say also to those going through it now - I still get emotional when I think about her and what stage we would be at now had she survived, but it does get easier to deal with; the grief does lighten. Do give it whatever time you need to, and never give up, ladies xx

dirtygrubbybikerchick · 20/05/2017 14:18

Thanks all. It's something we just wish didn't happen to anyone.

@DancingUnicorn It was very tough for awhile. Discovered just before Christmas at my 12 week scan that the baby had died a few weeks earlier, but my body hadn't recognised it yet so I was walking around with all the same pregnancy symptoms. As it was Christmas I had to wait 6 days to have my ERPC, so that was almost a week of continuing to walk around no longer oblivious to what was going on inside me. Can't even measure how many tears I shed that week and the weeks that followed. I was already in love and the grief that followed was so overwhelming.

When the hospital finished their brief diagnosis we opted to collect the remains for cremation. The crematorium director was amazing - first person who really knew what to say / not to say. Family and friends tried but as none of them had ever been through it they just tried all the usual platitudes which just made it worse so I had to keep away from them for awhile.

Husband took her (we like to think it was a her) ashes for a brief motorcycle ride through a park, and we then buried her in my PIL's garden, and planted a beautiful camellia japonica 'tree' and flowers to commemorate her and have a place of memories. I was distraught at the time, especially when digging and placing her little bamboo pouch of ashes on and under a bed of dirt, but afterwards it did help to start the healing process. We went away for a few days and later on for a couple of weeks, and those really helped too.

Afterwards I flitted between wanting to TTC straightaway to never doing it again out of fear. But desire outweighed the fear and so we tried again after my first AF which came about 5 weeks after the ERPC.

Nothing happened the first month but the next month it did (we were stunned) and we are 12 weeks today. 12 week scan on Monday (5 months to the day of my last 12 week scan and devastating news) so I am scared as hell!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/05/2017 14:11

Tigger I hope you are having an amazing party x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/05/2017 14:10

Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday. It's mostly sunny here which is nice. I went for a walk on the common with DH this morning but needed a nap afterwards - just woke up from a blissful 2hr sleep! Now I'm badgering him to finish the living room DIY we need to do so we can finally sit in it! My stove quote came back a bit pricey so I've asked them to give a discount given that we are buying 2.. fingers crossed!

Parastars · 20/05/2017 12:44

Haha, nope not pregnant. I wish!

Welcome to the newbies; these lot are just lovely! ❤

Springersprung · 20/05/2017 11:47

Tigger fingers crossed the weather is better where you are than it is here!

Springersprung · 20/05/2017 11:45

Thank you for the lovely welcome everyone. It is so sad to think that so many people have been in the same situation.
My bleeding us fluctuating too. I thought it was easing off on Thursday morning, then by Thursday evening, I was back feeling like I was having contractions and it got very heavy. Eased off during Friday and is a bit heavier again this morning. I have been wondering whether I should get some iron tablets.

DancingUnicorn · 20/05/2017 11:04

Have everything crossed for the weather Tigger. Hope it all goes ok and not too overwhelming.

Wilde glad you are having a wonderful time. Are you just away for the weekend?

Yeah, really looking forward to it Jupiter. Has come around really quickly. These things always do. Got lots to look forward to in the coming weeks too, which I'm hoping will keep me sane! Are you still clinging on to the relaxed feeling from your trip? And have you announced baby Jupes to the world?

Biker, thank you. ❤️ How are you feeling about things now?

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 20/05/2017 10:52

Grumpy have you tried taking iron pills? My inlaws for me some supplements yesterday - too soon to see if they've had any impact yet but I've been feeling exhausted too and had big black rings round my eyes. I'm on the multivits with extra iron for a couple of months now. Could be worth a try until you get back on your feet.

@Parastars any chance you could be pg again already?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/05/2017 10:43

@Springersprung hi and welcome. This is a lovely supportive group. How is your bleeding now? Mine is super annoying as it seems like it stops for a few hours then bam. It's been a week since the first spotting and almost 3 days since the MC completed. I'm still very tired especially when I eat but feeling a bit stronger today.

Thank you @dirtygrubbybikerchick for your kind words and sorry to hear about your loss.

Tigger83 · 20/05/2017 10:43
