Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Good luck jam! And thanks for the list - no idea what is happening with my cycle yet. Got a squinter on an ic last night so the hormones still haven't quite gone from the mc, but I think nearly there.

binky I think it's pug who might have a secondment not me - when do you find out pug?

skipper that's so annoying. Happened to me and DH on return flight of our recent trip. For some reason they'd put all the solo travellers in either aisle or window leaving all middle seats free?! So we ended up in 2 middle seats in consecutive rows. We were going to ask someone to swap but when it came to it we just ended up watching films and sleeping so didn't bother. I was fuming at check in though!

HepKestrel · 09/05/2017 08:38

skipper no chance last night. OH was knackered. He has long days tonight and tomorrow.

dtd o-3 and o-4 i think, (or possibly o-4 and o-5) so not completely out this month.

TMI alert. I had EWCM on friday, so thought i had ov-d at weekend? ah well.

sk1pper · 09/05/2017 08:29

You'll be fine to go back to work. I could of easily - just chose not to.

Londonjam · 09/05/2017 08:20

It is criminal what long term TTC does to your sex life! To be honest though we were very lazy about it before so it's actually been a bit of a kick up the bum for us.

On my way to the hospital now feeling pretty nervous , have taken two paracetamol ... I'm going straight into work afterwards 😕 is that not ideal? I've got a publisher meeting this afternoon so need to be in.

And good luck today jam!

Pyjamas81 · 09/05/2017 08:05

Ha! Can't remember the last time we had spontaneous sex skipper! FW really takes it out of us (we were quite happily a once a week at most couple before) and we just can't bring ourselves to it. Ah, the joys of TTC...

Kathrino · 09/05/2017 07:53

Good luck today Jam, hope it all goes well and isn't too painful.

sk1pper · 09/05/2017 07:46

Hep - can't believe you crumbled! A GOS today should be okay or did you manage it last night.

Jam - good luck today! Have you got the whole day off?

Pyjamas - Flowers some our our "sessions" are like that. But there is nothing wrong with functional sex when you have a means to an end. I just hope there is still some spontaneous sex in there outside of FW?

Welcome Paige!

Paige434 · 09/05/2017 06:27

Hello!

I'm a first-time poster on here. Really interested to follow other people's journeys. I would like to talk to friends/family but don't want to tell anyone we're ttc. So am hoping to make some pals in cyber space instead!

Am I too late to join this one? Here are my deets anyway:

Paige
30
Cycle 7
Had a few problems with my pesky ovary last year - unsure of any long term effects. Cycles range from 24 to 45 days.
AF due on 12 May, but have had symptoms for 1.5 weeks now.

Sorry if I get acronyms and stuff wrong. Still a newbie!

SmittenPears · 09/05/2017 00:43

Hi all -- welcome newbies. Sending good vibes for everyone's FWs, tests, and the trials of life.

SmittenPears
age: 32
TTC #1
cycle: 4
CD: 5

Jam you can put me down for June 18.

I ordered my basal thermometer today!

Pyjamas81 · 08/05/2017 23:27

I considered it as well bassett but I also didn't feel I could trust the results.

Fx you get two seats together skipper!

That right there is bloody typical hep - get shagging though!

Well we HS again - I would call it a GOS but that would be a stretch. Totally functional and I can tell he's glad it's over as soon as we're done. No cuddles, nothing. He just gets up immediately and gets dressed. I'm so over this.

Londonjam · 08/05/2017 22:56

Basset I looked into it but decided not to as felt I wouldn't be able to trust the result. It could upset you unnecessarily. I'd ask your GP to order one if you're concerned.

I've added those dates 👍🏼

Hep get to it! 😉

Gahhhh! After saying I was taking a break from opks.... I cracked. Nice +ve .

Why is it only positive when oh and I are knackered????

In other news 5.5km run today!

Did I mention I'm tired? Blush

Tommygirl10 · 08/05/2017 22:42

Hey Jam
Can you put me down for the 24th May please? Even though my cycles are still all over the place.
I'm hoping this thread is lucky for many of you lovely ladies. I've been following this thread for a while now and it's about time you got your successful BFPs xx

sk1pper · 08/05/2017 22:32

Winging - that's made me feel a bit better, I've used their online form to raise a ticket. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon. Im sure it'll be fine even if we are sat apart but I don't fancy it.

Jam - can you put me down for 26th may hon?

QuietTime · 08/05/2017 22:12

Thanks jam not sure whether feeling hopeful or not; good luck tomorrow, hope it goes OK

bassetmum · 08/05/2017 21:47

Oh I forgot to say that we have unexplained infertility - as far as any dr can say everything is tickety-boo ...except for the lack of any BFPs.

Londonjam · 08/05/2017 21:38

Your doctor sounds really thorough rainbow. Hardly any seem to check for endometriosis, but then perhaps you need to be showing signs you might have it.

My friend who very sadly had that late miscarriage had undetected endometriosis Sad her uterus ruptured and she was lucky to survive. She had gone into hospital with stomach pain at 30 weeks and was sent home! Shocking.

Well done doing boot camp penguin !

Thanks with the best wishes for HSG, it's at 9am tomorrow so getting it out the way first thing

Great news about the repeat SA Eva it sounds like it may have been an infection at work then? Fx BFP to follow

Binky I drink the odd glass or two in the TWW, I don't think it will make much difference personally

Oh skipper Shock which airline is it? Have you called them? I hope you/they can do something

Hi tommy hope you're not waiting long for Ov

Aww pug glad you're feeling a bit better, your dogs sound cute. Thanks for the HSG tip I will get some painkillers down and try to stay relaxed. I'm a bit worried that I'll get my hopes up for post HSG BFP too but we've not had that effect here in our group so maybe that will temper my expectations

Hilda hopeful and the shag wagon defo standard thread vocab now 👌🏼😂

KerryLeanne84 · 08/05/2017 21:35

Thanks for the new thread Jam!

Welcome new people! Nice to have you here.

Bassett - if you're worried, I'd go to the dr early and just lie about how long you've been trying. By the time you've had the basic tests and been referred to a consultant it will be that long anyway.

I'm Kerry, 33 in June (and feeling older by the day, bastard wrinkles!)
Cycle 18 just started which means next period is due on 3 June. At least not on my birthday this year...

Skipper - sorry to hear that about the seats! Someone may well swap with one of you. Or it might be nice to just read and chill out by yourself (but maybe not if you're upset about it!). x

WingingIt83 · 08/05/2017 21:29

Bugger sk1p but they never fill all the seats so hopefully they'll be able to help you out. The same happened to us on our flight to Japan, at the check in queue we asked if they could do anything, they released the final row at the back which was just a row of 2 and they hadnt previously made available to select.
