Twiga, not personal exp but my friend fell pg 2 weeks after her m/c and now has a bouncing 4 month old.......

hester · 13/08/2004 10:15

It's so exciting reading about everyone else's two-week waits and so brilliant when it's good news and sad when it's not . Best thing of all is that it does take my mind off me, me, me for a bit, which is again.

Twiga,

After my m/c, I was advised to wait until I had my next AF. For me, this was 6 weeks afterwards but I then conceived 2 weeks after that...

I think it is possible to get pregnant before the AF though!

runtus · 13/08/2004 09:13

Happy Friday!

Well 4dpo here and trying not to think about it at all. My modus operandi for this month is to completely ignore the fact that we are ttc and just live as normally as possible. Tricky considering all the supplements and bding that has been going on but it's a good motto I've decided.

I was driving myself crazy analysing every twinge last month.....obviously this won't last pas thr weekend but bear with me girls!

Twiga · 13/08/2004 08:50

Feeling a bit scared about it - will test tomorrow after I finish my shift (am social worker at children's home and work from 2pm one day until 2.30pm the next) - Dh is off over the weekend so at least we can do this together. Mc started 12th July - we planted a rose in our garden last weekend to mark things, felt needed to do something as it has felt like an invisible loss.

Azure · 13/08/2004 08:31

Sorry Twiga, just clicked when you said the 9th. I think it is worth doing a test. I have heard that women are more fertile immediately after a m/c. Best of luck.

Welcome back and good luck Pamina3. Piffleofagus, fingers crossed for a BFP. Twiga, yes it is possible to get pregnant without having an AF after a m/c - how long ago was your m/c?

Tania2 · 13/08/2004 04:40

Tania2 · 13/08/2004 04:39

congrats to all the BFP results.
iam sorry for all AF's arriving
This ttc thing sucks so bad. Iam so over it. But Iam still taking my Angus Catcus, zinc and all the rest of that yucky stuff. nearly makes me throw up every morning (ohh maybe iam pg) ha ha.
Good luck to everyone who is due to test.
Baby dust all round!!

Twiga · 12/08/2004 23:34

Hi, just wandering is it possible to concieve after a mc without having AF? I know that things can't be counted entirely acurately cycle wise but I counted out from when mc started and AF worked out as the 9th if things running to normal timetable. Anyways still no sign of AF and boobs feeling stupidly big, which is the first thing I noticed last time. Not really sure how this whole thing is meant to work as was my first pregnancy, I'm probably not and it's probably wishful thinking and I guess this cycle could be totally different to normal due to mc. Any ideas?

Piffleoffagus · 12/08/2004 19:54

eeeeks af is offically late by 3 hours now...
Trying not to get hopes up too high!!!!
By Sunday I might just believe I am pg but not before...
good luck everyone else!!!!!

Well done Mitzi!
I'm on day 18 and enjoying the last few days before the monthly madness sets in. 'Ooh, there's a twinge, I must be pregnant! Ooh, there's a twinge, it must be my period!' etc ad nauseam...

Piffleoffagus · 12/08/2004 14:44

Still no signs of AF... golly starting to feel like a loony tune, checking all wipes etc on the loo...
Hmmm
sorry bluestar about AF signs, maybe next month petal....

bluestar · 12/08/2004 13:51

Cobweb - bding = baby dancing (as in sex for procreation - hopefully!!)

Tex111, know how you're feeling

If I wasn't spotting, would think I was pg. Very tired today, drained, boobs still sore (very unusual after 2 days spotting, usually stop being sore quite quickly) and feel sick. However have had low temp and spotting so guess I'm not but god I need a dose of energy to get me through work today!!

tex111 · 12/08/2004 12:50

Congrats Mitzi!! Great news.

Temp drop this morning and another BFN yesterday so that's me done for the month. now just hoping AF gets here soon so we can start all over again.

Cobweb · 12/08/2004 12:35

BDing?????????????

Sorry for being dim, but I think I know what it is, can someone confirm he he he he he xxx

runtus · 12/08/2004 12:34

Well done Mitzi - enjoy!!!

malinki · 12/08/2004 10:40

Well done Mitzi , good luck and I hope you sail through your pregnancy.

bluestar · 12/08/2004 09:50

Huge congrats to mitzi & xoz [smile

I'm still spotting and temp dropped this morning so af will no doubt turn up later today or in the morning. Know that I bd every other day and every day during ov so not sure what else I can try this month?? Will definitely make a reflexology appointment even if it is just for some relaxation. Might prove useful in my quest for a job and interviews too!

Good luck piffle x

xoz · 12/08/2004 09:45

Congratulations Mitzi. Fantastic news. Come join the "due april" thread.
Piffle, I've been biting everyones head off for the last 2 weeks (almost came to blows with an obnoxius woman in Germany when on hols last week!!! and I'm usually very non-confrontational) so there may be hope yet.....
lots of babydust to all of you

Azure · 12/08/2004 09:36

Mitzi - many, many congratulations . Cobweb - ovulation, on average, will be day 14, i.e. Saturday, but it's best to be BDing from now. Piffleofagus and Katierocket - unfortunately, it's a waiting game. You just can't tell until/if AF arrives. Having said that, I'm convinced that AF is just around the corner, and am feeling depressingly resigned to yet another month slipping by.

OP posts:
katierocket · 12/08/2004 08:28

congrats mitzi.
I have all the signs of AF - spots, crabbyness.

Piffleoffagus · 12/08/2004 08:28

oooooh mitzi congrats you lucky thing!!!!!!!!11
I've tested again still no +
bit dh's head of last night when he asked me to be quiet for a tv programme, realised it felt like PMT and spent rest of night bawling on my own...
Still no Af and it is due today... but not holding out much hope now...
