Cobweb, sorry to hear about your infection. Hope you're feeling better.

Miranda2, that does sound confusing. Have you done a pregnancy test just to make sure? Hope you get some answers soon.

Mitzi, no I don't smoke. I had never even tried it until a few years ago but it wasn't for me.

Tex111 · 19/07/2004 09:08

Congratulations Staceyk!! I had a little area of bleeding with DS when I had my 6 week scan but apparently that sometimes happens when they've been burrowing into the lining of the womb. I had a tiny bit of spotting and that was it. No problem. So pleased for you!!

hana · 19/07/2004 09:00

Congratulations StaceyK!! Such brilliant news, you must be over the moon! Best of luck for a wonderful pregnancy!!

bluestar · 19/07/2004 08:57

staceyk, many many congratulations to you & dh - wish you the very best x

CD8 for me, started the bding again last night!! Trying to be regular in that department this month. Also have an OPK on standby and am taking temp but trying not to rely on these methods.

mrsflowerpot · 19/07/2004 08:34

Fantastic news StaceyK - congratulations! What a lovely start to the week.

Cobweb · 19/07/2004 08:13

Just wanted to say congratulations StaceyK

Wonderful news and it gives the rest of us hope that one day it will be us

Love Cobwebxxx

Seabird · 19/07/2004 08:13

Oh I'm SOO pleased for you StaceyK - congratulations, that's so encouraging Fantastic that they showed you your little bean already, too!

Mitzi - I haven't smoked since a year before ttc DD.

Staceyk · 19/07/2004 07:58

Hi Mitzi

Yes I do smoke (25-30 a day) but the moment the doc showed me my baby (on scan) I haven't touched one! thats after 13 years of heavy smoking. It's taken me this long to get pg, I couldn't risk losing it for anything!

katierocket · 19/07/2004 07:58

fantastic news staceyK - good for you, you deserve it

Staceyk · 19/07/2004 07:57

Good Morning

Sorry for leaving you all guessing, but I went to hospital on Friday morning, and rather than do blood test and wait etc, my doc thought I might like to see my baby, so she scanned me there and then, and confirmed I am 7-8 weeks PG !!! I told Dh on Saturday and he is over the moon, we both are. Still keeping very quiet (not told a soul). Doc said there was small area of bleeding!! So I am booked in for another scan 30th July (10 weeks) and my 12 week scan (18th Aug)should have been Friday 13th Aug, but didn't fancy that date.
Thanks to all of you for your help and support, and it is possible, even after 18 months of ttc. I still don't think I'll relax until 18th Aug! Baby dust all round xxxx

Seabird · 19/07/2004 01:40

hello katierocket & good luck.

Sorry to hear about AFs ladies

Poor you BeckiF - hope you feel better tomorrow.

Good luck if you test tomorrow Aku. With DD I had cramps for about a week around the time AF would've been (got a BFP on the day I was due. Hadn't felt anything different from any previous month - only tested because I was going to a boozey birthday party that night). (well ok & because of my obsessive nature )

mitzi · 18/07/2004 21:57

just a quick question.do any of you smoke?

miranda2 · 18/07/2004 21:33

Well, i'm even more confused now than I was a fortnight ago when i had my bizarrely light 'period' - in that I've now got another 'period'!! So I've got no idea at all what is going on. Have just ordered a basal digital thermometer and some ovulation kits from a website, as it is very frustrating not knowing what is happening. Last time it all went like clockwork, stretchy mucus on day 14 etc!

Seabird · 18/07/2004 20:31

Poor you Cobweb - hope you're feeling better now.

Sorry about AF Piffleoffagus Hope your move isn't too stressful.

Well I Ov'd yesterday so my 2 weeks waiting is just beginning... If it doesn't happen this month DH and I are thinking about leaving DD with my mum and going to Disneyworld for a week in Sept, so that would be something nice to console me (Last chance to do the rollercoasters on our own. We went there on our honeymoon too. God knows what sort of impression that creates of me to you girls )

katierocket · 18/07/2004 20:21

hello, can I join please? have been trying for one month but not feeling overly optimistic for some reason.

BeckiF · 18/07/2004 19:58

Terrible Migraine yesterday and today ... Hope to be back on par soon

Piffleoffagus · 18/07/2004 19:38

Yes me too got AF 2 days early on Thursday.
We are due to move house next month so maybe I'm being thwarted until then for soem unknown reason...
Good luck everyone ...

Cobweb · 18/07/2004 19:21

Hi girls, haven't been on much as I have been recovering from an infection that I got after my D&C on 7th July

Good to see everyone today

xoz · 18/07/2004 18:49

Sorry to hear about af bluestar
welcome bibi20.. fingers crossed for you and aku and cyndii too.

Azure · 18/07/2004 18:39

Ooh, good luck Aku. To be honest, I have never had any inkling of being pregnant before testing, even the twice I have been pregnant.

OP posts:
Cyndii · 18/07/2004 18:17

Thanks Bluestar...... don't know what feeling I have inside. Love it to be positive but I really don't think dh & I bd on the right dates but sure I am still living in hope. Then if I'm not the "good" side to that is my brother is on his way back from Australia after a year of travelling; he is now in America and I just can't wait to see him. So I could have a few drinks it I'm not pregnant and if I am I wouldn't indulge!! Time will tell........... six days......... and I won't do a test until after Monday as I have tormented myself for the past three af testing too early......

bluestar · 18/07/2004 18:01

Cyndii, most people I know have not necessarily had symptoms as such but a feeling that they are pregnant. TBH, both pregnancies I have had (1 ds, 1 mc) I knew I was. Every month that I have not been pregnant (and there have been a fair few) deep down, I know that af will come eventually. I do believe that you get an instinct. With ds, the pregnancy test was negative day af was due but I wasn't upset as I knew that I was. A week later the test was positive. Good luck, hope it's your month. We need a graduate for next week!

aku · 18/07/2004 17:47

Thanks, I will do a test by the end of the week or tomorrow morning if I am brave enough

Cyndii · 18/07/2004 17:34

Good luck aku! Hope the pain subsides.

Let's just say if I were pregnant (due af Mon 19th) ~ wuold I have any early signs that I would be???? I know I'm starting to count my chickens before they hatch again this month but it's just that it's constantly on my mind!!

lostinparis · 18/07/2004 17:23

I understand that sometimes pregnant women have AF-like cramps when their AF would otherwise have been due.
