So pleased to hear your news Strawberry! You must have lots of conflicting emotions at the moment. I really hope everything goes well this time - I'm sure it will.

ShouldKnowByFriday - sorry to hear about your BFN . I have so been there with your testing tale. Still, until AF comes you never know...
(Hope noone minds me continuing to post on this thread for now, I'm avidly following everyone's progress and counting on some more company for me & MoseGirl on the April thread soon...)

ShouldKnowByFriday · 03/08/2004 21:55

Congrats Strawberry on your pregnancy!

Haven't mumsnetted for a few days as DH away and soooo very busy with 2 little ones. Then DH back and no time to sit down! Does anybody have the patience to count how many have graduated on this thread? It would be very interesting to know how many are still trying!!

Update on my attempts: CD 34, usually 32-34 and no AF. Nipped into starbucks with Early Response packet and couldn't wait for coffee, thought I would test first. B F N so didn't bother with the cofee, just went home to do some work to take my mind off of things. Boobs have settled down, not so sore, just puffy and heavy. Didn't feel preg twice before when I was so maybe its after 6-7wks that the nausea, taste and going off of coffee kicks in. ?

Strawberry, that's wonderful news! I know you were on the Dec thread...there are quite a few of us preg after m/c....I'm one of them and feel so very lucky. Lots and lots of luck - can you get an early scan like Tex suggested? I did at about 7/8 weeks, it really did help a great deal.

hope you have lots of other people to join you very very soon

katierocket · 03/08/2004 16:45

hester · 03/08/2004 16:31

COngrats Strawberry!! Let's all share in a huge sprinkle of baby dust from all those that have been successful!!

tex111 · 03/08/2004 12:21

Congrats Strawberry! Wonderful news. I know just what you mean about being concerned but I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Saying that, I know I'll be nervous too when we get pg again. Can they book you in for an early scan to help calm your nerves? It might help to see that everything is OK. Best of luck to you!

runtus · 03/08/2004 11:39

Just wanted to add my congratulations !!

There is so much babydust flying around this thread, very excited for the coming month!

Thanks Tex111 for that information and yes that does happen when i go to the loo (phew) i will definatly take your advice about the grapefruit juice etc.

Congratulations strawberry
try to enjoy you pg as much as you can. i remember how scared i was of mc with ds1 i was so paranoid that i got myself so stressed that i broke out in a stress rash. doc told me to calm down or i would make it worse. all the best and here's to a very healthy and sick free pg. CHEERS!!!

strawberry · 03/08/2004 08:50

Well, I did a pg test yesterday and it was positive. I am relieved that it has happened so quickly after my mc but TBH I feel absolutely terrified. With my ds I really enjoyed being pg but now I'm scared. I don't mean to sound ungrateful and I feel like I should be happy. I guess I'm still coming to terms with mc.

tex111 · 03/08/2004 07:25

Hello, 3dpo here so just waiting now. Ho hum.

Tessiebear, fertility friend is a website. I think it's www.fertilityfriend.com or something like that. I'm sure you could find it with a search engine. You can enter your temps online and see a graph of them. It makes is much easier to calculate ovulation. Another good website is www.ovusoft.com. They have charts too and lots of information. Good luck to you!

Tania2, you probably get the mucous but maybe it just doesn't come out very often so you don't see it. This may be tmi but... if you go to the loo around O and the loo paper sort of slips around a bit when you wipe, then that's probably the eggwhite mucous. If you're concerned about it just drink lots of water around O and they say a glass of pure grapefruit juice every morning helps too. You could also take a specific cough mixture called guafenisin (sp?). It's used to thin mucous in the lungs when you have a chesty cough and if you take it around ovulation it makes the cervical mucous thinner and easier for the sperm to swim through. Hope that helps!

Good luck Chacha, fingers crossed for you!

Tania2 · 03/08/2004 05:45

Hi Guys, feeling shit today. Iam 12dpo and expecting af in 5 days. This morning had spotting of fresh blood which seems to happen every month 1 week prior to af arriving. I really hoped that it would happen this month but still trying to stay +ive about it as with ds1 had a period first month i was pg didnt find out pg till i was 7 weeks. is it a must to have that mucus that everyone goes on about cause i hardly ever get it but i know i ov from the ov test. Could this be why it is not happening?

ChaCha · 02/08/2004 21:53

Evening all,
CD21! Had a 25 day cycle last month, so AF could be around the corner!
The whole world is pregnant! My best friend is on number 3 and wasnt even trying, as are two other friends..feel like i've been left on the shelf again. You know what i find hard..my friends husbands/partners discussing their kids all through dinner with DH...what are you supposed to say? People just dont think do they? Grrr..sorry just letting off some steam
Have a nice night x

Tessiebear · 02/08/2004 19:04

Is Fertility friend a website / chart????

lostinparis · 02/08/2004 14:45

Tessiebear - I'd start charting on fertility friend now so that when you do start ttc you'll have a really good idea when ovln is.

Tessiebear · 02/08/2004 14:35

Hi all, I often take a look at this thread to see how u are all doing. A quich question, i am not TTC (although i may be in a few months) but i was wondering If you have a 28-30 day cycle, pressuming the first day of your cycle is the day you start bleeding - do you ovulate approximately day 14 - 15 (half way through your cycle)????? Any advice on when this is would be most appreciated

mrsflowerpot · 02/08/2004 14:32

sorry you're having such a rotten day malinki. on your behalf.

Congratulations seabird and mosegirl - good luck to both of you for your pgs.

I'm back on line proper now after a week lurking - at my mum's and didn't want to get 'caught' as they don't know we're ttc again. CD23 of (28-30) today, however, managed to go away from dh absolutely mid-cycle this month so not too hopeful.
