Landed safe and sound in London! Flight was not the smoothest but nowhere near as bad as the LAX to JFK one. Reckon I slept about 2 hours, better than nothing.

I'm so stupid I didn't realise you could see the next episode of a series on the in flight entertainment so I watched the pilot of Big Little Lies (how awesome is Reese Witherspoon?) and the pilot of Billions (highly recommend! It's my industry so all the more gripping for me) but then thought I couldn't watch any more - only realised at the end of the flight! Will have to find them online somehow (Amazon / Netflix?)

JB woohoo! So glad it's settled down and you have nice strong lines.

Parsnips have you had your appointment yet? How'd it go?

Mummy I am crossing my fingers for you when you wake up to test later!

When are you testing orange?

Dancing sorry AF is a bit grim this month. Hope it's over soon and you can get humping again!

Buzz you realise that you will have to call the baby Keith now right? 😂

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow - wow! This is really happening. Sometimes when I think about having an actual baby I get so emotional I just need to have a massive cry (but I haven't yet as I've been holding it all in to deal with work and this trip). Not sad crying - just "this is so huge I can't even deal with the feelings". I'm starting to get a bit nervous about the scan, what will be will be I guess. I can't believe how long the first trimester feels.

DancingUnicorn · 06/05/2017 09:18

I'm not sure I can mummy but I'm so bad at seeing them. Plus, it never shows up as well on a photo. Fx there is a squinter for you!!!

Mummyme87 · 06/05/2017 09:16

Right. 10dpo. This was after 3-5mins. I swear I can see something. Faint as hell and only at certain angles but I think I can. 🤔

So glad to hear it's stopped jb. You must be so excited to tell him. I'm amazed you managed to hold out, I never would be able to!! And boo to the night shift. I am always in awe of people who can do them. I did it once was a few weeks, and it was horrific!!

Buzz have a great time at the venue. It's coming up now! So glad people are excited for you!

Enjoy the shagging seven! I'm actually quite looking forward to it all. I'm sure that'll fade!

Cd4 today. Af would normally be buggering off around now, but has been a lot heavier than usual, and seems like it might hang around. Gr! I'm a bit worried I've placed too much hope on this cycle... and when af comes around again I'm going to come crashing down. Definitely haven't already worked out what my edd would be. Nope, definitely have not.

HeyJupiter · 06/05/2017 09:02

Good luck with testing today mummy, have everything crossed for you. How are you orange, are you testing today too?

JB fantastic news!! Yes no doubt a chemical would be getting fainter. So happy for you, bet you can't wait to tell your DH :)

parnsips In officially 11+2 with scan next Friday! Yay for the big boobs.

Thanks lovely buzz, the dinner was really fun and I got in a power nap in first so ploughed through until 11pm (wow!)

I've actually got another week of work before my leave but on Friday, after the scan, we're off to Plymouth for a week to stay in a cottage in the woods by the sea.. no wifi or phone signal though ahhhh, I'll have to dip in and out of the thread as we roam around during the day :)

Hb 10 weeks! That's amazing and really so close to me and buzz dates wise. Won't be long until your scan either (when is the date of yours?)

seven being without OPKs may not be a bad thing, can do lots of DTD-ing without focusing purely on timings :)

Sounds like a good plan Tigger if AF does show.. although guess you're not out yet! And bring on the shagathon Dancing

Oh lovely confused, really hope that mummy has reassured you. Have the hospital been informative and supportive?

Good luck with the new role MrsC, sounds challenging but fun.

Penguin and Wiggley those symptoms sound very promising! How are you both today?

Safe trip grumpy :)

JB1983 · 06/05/2017 08:28

Enjoy your shagging week seven Grin

JB1983 · 06/05/2017 08:27

Aww buzz that's cute that she is so excited. Baby buzz sounds like they are going to be well loved!

No we never DTD --had knackered ourselves out during the humpathon during fertile week*. I think if it was a chemical pregnancy the lines would be fading on tests and they are not so hoping it was just implantation spotting.

Seven0fNine · 06/05/2017 08:26

Not for two weeks Jb currently in the shagging window 😂

buzzmoon · 06/05/2017 08:18

Safe trip grumpy!

JB that's really great news!! Did you dtd or anything when you got the spotting? That's really common to get some. Are you home alone for the weekend and DH back Monday evening?

mrs exciting about the new job, hope it goes well! Sorry about the vomming though! Hope that eases 🤞🏽

dancing well done on the exercise! I really, REALLY need to do more!!

penguin I think I remember getting that, but didn't think anything of it at the time! Fingers crossed for you!

Told my aunt and cousins yesterday, they were so excited it was so lovely! I've never seen my cousin so excited! She's 16 and a real bookworm and was talking about reading to Keith and babysitting and stuff was so sweet :)

Off to venue now as we couldn't go last week :) happy Saturday!

JB1983 · 06/05/2017 08:09

When are you due seven?

Seven0fNine · 06/05/2017 08:08

I think Ovia and I are finally seeing eye to eye. She's telling me not to test until after af due!

JB1983 · 06/05/2017 08:07

I'm nightshift tonight Hb so I feel your pain at having to work weekends 👎🏼 However I'm meeting friends and their babies for a walk and lunch so still a nice weekend despite work.

No he doesn't suspect a thing as I told him AF was starting before he left technically I was spotting so might not have been a lie. He is actually back tomorrow evening but if he is rough as guts will probably wait till Monday to tell him.

Seven0fNine · 06/05/2017 08:06

Awww Hb can you sleep more tomorrow? Have a good rest of you can my love xx

Seven0fNine · 06/05/2017 08:05

Yay congratulations Jb!!! Have you moved yourself on the list?

Welcome back confused... Despite not having a clue what your levels mean it's a good job we have mummy here to reassure.

HbH · 06/05/2017 08:02

Ah so good to hear Jb welcome to the dark side!! Is DH back Monday?? Do you think he suspects?!

Hope you got back ok grumpy and had a nice reunion with your favourites!

Trying to drag myself up... working today booooooooo 😭 So sleepy despite nearly 10 hours sleep!

JB1983 · 06/05/2017 07:30

Well I'be had no more spotting other than the those two single occasions and it really was minimal. Did another FRER and IC this morning and both positive with nice lines so I think I'm going to have to accept that I am actually upduffed! My boobs are getting a bit tender at the sides so I now actually have a symptom of being pregnant too.

Happy weekend ladies x

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 06/05/2017 06:13

Safe travels Grumpy! Bet you can't wait to get home!

OP posts:
TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/05/2017 23:04

Thanks! It was pissing with rain in New York today anyway!

DancingUnicorn · 05/05/2017 22:45

Have a safe trip home grumpy! Bet you can't wait to be back. (Sorry about the weather in advance!!)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/05/2017 22:10

I'm on my way to the airport now. Can't wait to be home and hug DD and DH.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/05/2017 22:09

MrsC so sorry about the vomiting! How far along are you now? New job sounds like an exciting challenge to focus on!

Welcome back confused! Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know).

Wiggley harmony is just a blood test, I imagine I'll get a letter but I'm not sure! I'm going to ask them of course.. I can't wait to find out the sex!

Parsnips good luck with your booking in tomorrow!

Dancing well done on the exercise! Aside from the two yoga classes in LA I've done nothing for weeks really. And next week will be a write off as well as I'm travelling Tuesday to Sunday.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/05/2017 22:04

You lot have been chatty today!

The issue with saying it's an appointment (dentist or whatever) is that I have combined bloods the previous Friday morning; so I could say that for that one and then come into work late, and then maybe work from home the following Friday for the scan - but the scan day is prior to the long weekend so "working from home" will look like slacking and the appointment is in the middle of the day so I can't go into work before / after. Anyway I'm fine taking the day off because I want to pack for camping without being in a rush and then start driving out of London as soon as DD gets off school at 4. DH is also taking the day off. I'll got to yoga and have brunch with DH in the morning or something nice like that.

Also I'm likely to need an actual dentist appointment ASAP because my fixed wire retainer behind my top teeth has just come partly unglued! Argh! Just my luck (well the very crispy bacon I ate this morning)!!

DancingUnicorn · 05/05/2017 20:44

Oh, sorry! Penguin I have never experienced such a thing... but I'm sure I've read other people mention it on threads. Can't remember if it's pregnancy symptom though... which is not helpful of me!

DancingUnicorn · 05/05/2017 20:43

Evening all. Managed to walk part way home from work today, trying really hard to get a bit fitter and be doing enough exercise that I have something to carry on with if/when I get my bfp. I'm usually super lazy though, so not holding my breath that I'll keep it up!

Welcome back confused. Hope you had a great time!! Must be a bit worrying to find you have a low result, but sounds like you're in good hands and extra scans will hopefully be a good thing!

Congrats mrsc. Glad everything's progressing with the new job. Lots to sort!

Grumpy can you not just say you have an appointment? I guess it might be too much of a give away? So frustrating for you! At least you've a whole nice day planned though! :)

Have everything crossed for you in the morning mummy. Is anyone else testing this weekend? We must have people close to testing!
