Omg confused that's awful!! How can she speak to you like that Angry ridiculous that she expects you to know everything she does and isn't open to you asking questions! Could you ask to see a different consultant?

confusedat23 · 09/05/2017 14:15

Awhhh Buzz what a beautiful Keith! Lol

Sorry about the spotting Penguin i'm sure its just implantation or something 🤞🏻

Well my appointment was interesting... i accidently left my questions in my notes when the consultant looked through them and it seemed to get her back up a bit. She told me in no uncertain terms that she's not in the slightest bit concerned about it but they would keep the extra scans i've been booked in with but until 28 weeks she's not even going to give it a second thought.

I tried asking a question regarding the really low level and she told me it wasn't considered really low to her as she had once seen a patient with 0.1 and god when i asked if there was a risk of premature birth (as mentioned in other trusts guidlines) she spoke to me so patronising i actually cried when i left the room.

So I actually know nothing more now than I did before apart from being greatful that obviously my situation could be worse... however my mum has text me to say she has spoken to one of the midwives who has given her alot more information than what we were given and apparently it was very reassuring.

Although i'll have to get used to this woman as she's my consultant until Birth now

hopingforabfp · 09/05/2017 13:31

Aww Buzz Keith is due on my birthday! Xx

charl19 · 09/05/2017 13:25

Buzz lovely picture!! Hi Keith! ☺️

JB1983 · 09/05/2017 13:21

Aww buzz check out wee Keith! Glad everything is well and you didn't pee yourself 😂 Roll on Friday for yours jupiter! Exciting seeing all the scan pics coming in.

grumpy I would so come to your yoga retreat, sounds amazing right now!

penguin I had spotting too and my lines kept getting stronger so assuming everything is fine. Fx for you too x

Hope your appointment went ok confused

orangefolly · 09/05/2017 13:13

Hi Keith! Grin

DancingUnicorn · 09/05/2017 13:12

Congrats buzz. Lovely picture.

No mention of full bladder when I had my scan either grumpy. I assume it just depends on the equipment?

Penguin bless you. It's such an emotional time!! And it's completely normal to be concerned by spotting. Hopefully you'll be able to get some reassurance. I'm sorry the course is hard. Do you work in accountancy? If not, and there's anything specific I may be able to help... feel free to dm me.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 09/05/2017 13:04

Oh buzz! What a gorgeous picture! Hello Keith!!! Glad all went well.

I am sitting here delighted as a girl in my office has just asked me if I'm using something different on my face or had a facial as my skin looks great and I'm glowing apparently! I was like oh just a bit of extra concealer today 😂😂😂 Seemingly she noticed when she saw me yesterday which is the first day I was in work since BFP confirmed - how weird!

Long may that last!!

Buzz gorgeous 😁

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/05/2017 12:46

Buzz Keith looks great! Congrats!

Mummy that would explain why EPU scan was transvaginal I guess it's harder to see when it's so small. I wrongly assumed that the 12 week scan was also transvaginal because it said I don't need a full bladder. Is the abdominal scan tech more advanced to not require it then? Sorry for all the Qs!

penguin hope you feel better and the spotting calms down soon x

I'm flying to Barcelona tonight straight after work and I'm exhausted as I didn't sleep well at all last night - anxious and emotional about performing at work to "prove myself" more before they find out I'm pregnant. Took all my stress out on DH so we argued. All fine in the end but exhausting. I wish I worked in a more female friendly environment! Actually scratch that I'm going back to my 5yr plan to move to the coast and run yoga retreats. Got no meetings this Friday and weekend in Spain on my own so I will be RELAXING hard.

Mummyme87 · 09/05/2017 12:34

And penguin it's normal to have some spotting on early pregnancy. Is it red or brown? When was AF due?

No sign at all of AF here 😀😀

Mummyme87 · 09/05/2017 12:33

grumpy you shouldn't need a TVS for your Nuchal unless they couldn't see anything due to high BMI which you don't have. Also you don't need a full bladder for any scan here.

penguin lovely to see a CB test 😊 My EDD is about 17th January ish. Different on different sites. NHS said 17th as I have a shorter cycle.

buzz glad you scan went well 😀😍

HeyJupiter · 09/05/2017 12:14

Sorry you're feeling so awful Penguin, is the spotting still brown? If so then am sure it's nothing to worry about. Good to get some advice though Flowers sounds like work isn't helping particularly xx

HeyJupiter · 09/05/2017 12:13

Ahhhh buzz look at little baby Keith! What a little lovely :) So happy for you, what a wonderful picture. So excited for you and your DP. Roll on November indeed 💜💜

buzzmoon · 09/05/2017 12:07

Oh penguin I'm sure it's okay! You got another bfp today. But check in if you're worried and it's making you stressed. Sorry about work, that sounds shit!

Penguin27 · 09/05/2017 11:42

Sorry for the bfn orange Flowers

Penguin27 · 09/05/2017 11:41

Omg buzz that's so exciting!!! Such a great picture, congratulations lovely Smile

I'm feeling a bit sick (not sure if it's in my head?) I'm on a financial accounting course at work and finding it difficult, so getting stressed and tearful. I'm a little bit worried ... I've had light spotting for the past 4 days?? Seems a bit odd for implantation bleeding? I've done a self-referral to the antenatal unit today so can call them if I need to I guess.

buzzmoon · 09/05/2017 10:56

Sorry for bfn orange, hope af doesn't come!

Inspired by your crumpets hb I went to get some on the way home!!

penguin so excited for your bfp!! How are you feeling?

confused hope your appointment goes okay ❤️ let us know how you get on

I went in for scan and she couldn't see the Nuchal so had to go out for 10 mins and wait for bladder to get fuller, so deffo drink an hour before cause I went in early it was only 45 mins! He was moving all over the place it was so weird to see! Gosh just so excited now want November to come now!

buzzmoon · 09/05/2017 10:50

Meet Keith! Due 24th November :)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/05/2017 10:42

I think I can refuse but they seem to be standard at my local antenatal unit - mummy will know better as she works there! Smile

HeyJupiter · 09/05/2017 09:49

Hb before my private scan they recommended that you empty your bladder and then drink a pint of water approx one hour before the scan. It was uncomfortable but not completely unbearable. It was better for me to have that in mind than try and guess when I should last have a wee etc and estimate how much water to drink and when. I'm going to do this again on Friday.

grumpy why do you have to have a transvaginal scan lovely?

HeyJupiter · 09/05/2017 09:46

orange so sorry for the BFN, how frustrating. The symptoms you are experiencing might be an indicator of something happening (i.e. fertilisation but not implantation on this occasion.) You're not out until AF shows but hope you aren't feeling too disappointed Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/05/2017 09:21

Good luck buzz! At least it's an abdominal scan (although the holding a full bladder must be torture!). Mine will be transvaginal apparently - so no full bladder required - but pretty uncomfortable 😣
Looking forward to your update!

HbH · 09/05/2017 09:13

Oh buzz I've been worried about this full bladder thing since my letter came through! Hopefully it's almost done now and you can have a big wee!

Sorry for BFN orange Flowers

orangefolly · 09/05/2017 08:57

So it's another BFN for me this morning with a FRER. I think the 'symptoms' I had must have been a bunch of red herrings and wishful thinking. I'm not going to test again now unless in the unlikely event AF doesn't show. Can't bear to get my hopes up for that!

Good luck for this morning buzz and confused.
