So we are rolling on to thread #five –
We are not giving up, our PMA is still alive.

Put pure and simply,
We want to have babies,
God, please help everyone of these lovely ladies.

We support each other,
We are funny and kind,
And we will not be giving up,
Until we see that thick BFP line.

Aww moo your scan is gorgeous!!! It must have been do lovely finally seeing the little one!! Have you and your dh named your bean yet??!!

Thank you for all your kind wishes, it really does help. She's a funny one this month, very light, brown sometimes too and barely any cramps which is so not like me!!! Oh well just more new symptoms to add to the list!!

Patient so sorry she's got you too but we get to be cycle buddies at least!! 💐

Magpie I have everything crossed for you still, have you done a test since she came?? I think I'd be tempted even though you've had a bleed?? Xx

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/04/2017 19:54

Cakes I had EWCM for about 6 days before OV this month! In 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' book she says to have sex every day that you have EWCM (or every other day but no less than this) Grin happy pumpage!!

CakesALot · 27/04/2017 19:31

Ah sorry @notparticularlypatient. Enjoy you're evening though and your day off tomorrow. Some lovely time to treat yourself.

After a flurry of bfps we seem to be getting a flurry of unwelcome af. That can only mean a flurry of bfps to come soon though!

Apologies for the tmi but I'm cd9 and have noticed twice today rather substantial globs of ewcm. I do get a lot of it around ov and have known to have it from as early as cd8 but not this much I don't think. I do have a few boots opks in the cupboard. Worth a check do you think? Will dtd just in case anyway!

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/04/2017 19:30

Moo that scan picture is so beautiful and made me well up! I remember being the same with DS, I had no symptoms leading up to my 12 week scan so I was convinced that they'd tell me that I'd imagined it all and wasn't actually pregnant. So I was shocked too! 🙈

Patient sorry that AF rocked up, enjoy your night and then get back on the PMA wagon tomorrow Flowers

Magpie Come on Baby Bean Magpie, hang in there. All your virtual MN aunties are behind you Smile

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 18:47

magpie you give your ds a big hug and we will all keep everything crossed for you xxx

patient Flowers grrrrrrr so so so sorry about af ... when is she going to get the hint?! Enjoy the theatre and your day off ... big hugs 🤗 xxx

Magpie I am sorry for what might not be happy news, although I keep my fingers tightly crossed for you until we know for sure either way. And as you say: at least you know it can happen! Give DS a huge squeeze, and do something nice for yourself!

And sarah so sorry for af, I hope it is not long until you get your well-deserved bfp, it sounds like it is overdue!

Ah, the contrasts on this thread, Moo, what a lovely scan picture, and so happy for you that all is fine!

Af has arrived here as well. Had cramping yesterday, so not surprised. But sad and gutted, I really hope I feel better tomorrow. I have the day off, so at least I don't need to go into work and pretend I'm fine. And now I'm on my way to the theater to watch a play with some close friends, and that is my pma for todaySmile

MissMagpie · 27/04/2017 17:34

Yes I do Hippy. He is 2 and a half and hilarious and gorgeous - which helps in difficult times.

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 17:31

I meant as I recall sorry xxx

MissMagpie · 27/04/2017 16:18

Thanks Hippy.

I am trying to get the PMA going. Even if the worst has happened on this occasion, at least I know I can get pregnant. Which means I can do it again. Preferably next cycle!

Hoping my hormones won't be too messed up and slow things down...

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 16:04

Moo Wowsers that's a lovely scan pic. #loveitloveitloveit

Magpie we're all rooting for you that it's IB xxx

MissMagpie · 27/04/2017 15:12

That's lovely Moo! I cried when I had my first scan with my DS. It's just so overwhelmingly wonderful!!

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. It means a lot.

Update from me - still not the usual amount of period blood that I would expect to get - nothing on a towel, just on toilet paper. It's either gearing up for a full on tsunami or it's going to be a light one. Or it could be IB but I am not pinning my hopes on that. It's too unlikely really.

CakesALot · 27/04/2017 14:56

Gorgeous @Moo31!! Lovely scan!! I had 3 with DD and every time had to go and empty my bladder because they couldn't get a good look 🙄 at the 20 weeks one (which is incredible btw,so much detail) I had to walk a bit, do a few jumps, go for a wee, drink a bit, lie on my side, all sorts so they could get all the right measurements!! Was frustrating at the time but funny now!

Moo31 · 27/04/2017 14:02

Hi all I am so sorry I have been awol - spent Tuesday in a day-before-12-week-scan-daze and yesterday was crazy busy, I am shattered today! Yesterday was my booking app and scan amazing - scan was amazing, the booking stuff is incredibly boring (be warned).

The NHS experience is a little different to the private scan we had a 7 weeks. I will give you a laugh - the letter said to go with a full bladder, so I did, 45 mins after our appointment time we were still waiting so I asked if I could go and do a little wee - just a little one they said. Eventually got taken in for the scan an hour after our appointment time. Your bladder is too full ... I can't see baby very well ... go and empty it! OMG!

All is well :):):) - babies heartbeat, measurements, etc are all normal. Oh cried when he saw baby on screen :) I think I was in shock as I had geared myself up for there to be nothing there! Baby arched its back during the scan and then did a little Mexican wave type jiggle, it was really funny! I am on cloud 9 today Grin

Magpie I am so so sorry - sending you hugs and Flowers. Life is too cruel sometimes. xo

Sarah sorry she got you as well Flowers xo

Hope everyone else is well? Few bfps coming up soon?! xo

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 12:58

Archies Thank you for the clarity, you had me googling then!! I like to keep my uterus warm as I've been told its imperative, but it's not 'extreme' heat'. I never put the hot water bottle next to my naked skin, it's on the outside of my clothes... so I'm thinking #stopfretting :) #stopgoogling

Amanda I'm not sure whether you've missed Peggy or not but i had a similar opk dilema a few months back where i run out of pink cb opk sticks on cd15 so i had to go and buy some more, i brought the dual ones and started using them on cd15. i have since learnt from their website that the first day you test with the dual ones will always show a blank circle (thus why they suggest testing earlier, that and the fact they make more money). If i were you, i would test with a standard one if you want to be on the safe side (Boots ones are pretty good, x7 sticks for £10.99 i think)
whatever you do though... do not stress .... #imahypocrite
you're dtd EOD - you should be covered

Thanks Ladies. Sorry for my outburst. It wasn't a good morning that's for sure. Think I've calmed down a bit now.

Good to know about the heat thing. I think I've seen not to have really hot baths in 2ww so must be something to it.

Thinking of you Magpie

AmandaP86x · 27/04/2017 12:49

Oh that's really good tips it's a crazy old world this!

Sooooo I'm in a pickle now.

I had the Clear blue dual hormone ones (the purple) but I also have the pink clear blue one.

Vause I forgot to POAS this am I thought I would there - I didn't have any purple ones so used the other one and it came up the big low fertility 😢 Have I missed Peggy? Or has my urine been too diluted? 😭

I am not sure wether to buy some more dual hormone ones today and test in the morning. According to Ovia I am in Fertile week I'm CD17 pls help lol x

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/04/2017 12:43

Hippy I'm also a cold type! She said that a bit of heat is good, and it's good to keep warm. But just not extreme heat I think. My acupuncturist normally puts a heat lamp directly over my bare abdomen, but for today she said it was best to put a blanket over my tummy before she put the lamp on so it wasn't too hot Smile

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 12:41

Archies Thank you for sharing about the heat thing! I'm a cold type so I've read in all Emma Cannon's fertility books that its best to keep warm post ovulation, so now I am very confused! Hhhhhhhm I will speak to my accupuncture man on friday but for now have moved my hot water bottle from my abdomen to my lower back!

Really interesting about the heat @ArchiesMamaBird. Definitely worth remembering. I'm a naturally hot person anyway so tend to avoid hot bath because I just turn beetroot! But I do like a scolding hot shower. Worth having a luke warm one if that helps!!

CakesALot · 27/04/2017 12:24

Nooooo @MissMagpie that's so heartbreaking 😔 hope you're ok. Look after yourself. Vent and rant if you need to.

Totally get that @Anna2006. You thought you were going to get to chat to a pro and get some answers. How dare they make you wait another week?! You need some distractions to get you through. Time is so slow in the TTC world. I'm only cd9 but feel like I should be at cd27 and getting ready to test by now!

ArchiesMamaBird · 27/04/2017 12:12

Anna I totally know where you're coming from! After my scan I rang up for my results a week later and was told if have to wait another week and I was so desperate! Looking back 1 week is nothing, but in the world of ttc time seems to move so slowly doesn't it

I had acupuncture this morning and thought I'd share a little bit of advice with you all. The acupuncturist said that in the week after OV, heat can be toxic to your embryo. So avoid hot baths and hot water bottles until 8dpo, which is when you will be fine to start having them again. I am MASSIVELY regretting my steaming hot bath that I had last night now 🙈 here's hoping that it didn't really matter much as I was 2dpo 😬

Hippychic79 · 27/04/2017 11:03

Amanda happy pumpage this week :) can't believe you forgot to poas... although i can see how its easily done, i often wake up in a bit of a day dream and am almost on auto pilot ... easy to let that FMU go when you haven't woken up properly! EOD sounds like a good plan.... should be plenty of doreens waiting for peggy when the big O happens :) Hopefully a hug with your new godson gave you extra positive ttc vibes.

Anna Awwwww bless you .... I get annoyed if plans change at the last minute too, it can be so frustrating especially when you've psyched yourself up. Try not to stress .... you're in the 2ww, you need to stay calm. Hey hopefully you won't need the appointment anyway and the universe is just one step ahead of you #fatecanbegreat

Nooo @MissMagpie totally gutted for you Hun! That is soul destroying. Are you sure it's AF for deff? 😨😨😨

Someone needs to give me PMA this morning. I'd waited 4 weeks for my nurse practitioner appointment to discuss my bloods and possibly scan referral. My appointment was today at 8.40 and they rung me at 8.30 to cancel. I sobbed for a bit an then left for work in a state. How stupid of me. It's only an appointment. An I'm going next week instead. But its like I'd been waiting patiently an built up to this and the receptionist pushed me over the edge by saying the nurse is off sick so it's cancelled 😫😂

Jesus Christ. Who knew I'd be sobbing over a pissing appointment.

Just keep going ladies. We keep going. We WILL bloody get there. 🙏🙏🙏

AmandaP86x · 27/04/2017 10:40

Awww @magpie & @sarah sendings hugs to you both. She's such a flipping witch!!!!!! But I always think ur body is working properly your getting a regular cycle which is a healthy indication that ur body is working. New cycle again, new beginnings and a new chance 💜💜

@bellamoon CANNOT STOP laughing at u! Hahahaha jobbies such a good word ha ha

I am CD17 both mornings iv forgot to POAS so no idea if I have a flashy or static smiley. Might do it later but I actually get a horrible gut feeling it will have the big circle and I'll cry lol. Meant to be my FW this week. Started on Tuesday so DTD EOD. Fingers crossed (but not legs)

I met my wee godson for the first time last night but in turn a baby bomb on Facebook and then a friend who was trying same time as me is preg 🙄 Trying just to be calm and cool about it lol not happening!
