Hippychic79 · 11/04/2017 12:55

So we are rolling on to thread #five –
We are not giving up, our PMA is still alive.

Put pure and simply,
We want to have babies,
God, please help everyone of these lovely ladies.

We support each other,
We are funny and kind,
And we will not be giving up,
Until we see that thick BFP line.

Archies Try saying it every time you have a time related worry... it really does work :)

Wow - sounds like you had a busy old night with your DS... bless him :) I never slept well as a baby either ... so my mum tells me, so i suspect I will have a little one who keeps me up all night too.

I like that affirmation Hippy Smile

Oh yeah Anna make the most of the sleep. DS is 3 and for some unexplained reason last night he decided to wake up for 3 hours between 1am and 4am. During this time he tried sleeping in our bed, his bed, wanted milk, asked to watch his iPad, asked to dress up as Spiderman and demanded to play with a toy gun. And the whole time he kept telling me that he was bored and doesn't like sleeping Grin

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 14:16

Dolly you're absolutely spot on, that's exactly how i feel... at 5-8dpo i was well into testing but now I'm 10dpo I just keep talking myself out of it. It is a bit of catch 22, it would lush to know early but then what's another day or two?

Anna Sounds like your PMA is back on the rise... yaaaaaay :)

To help me with the time issue, I've been saying the following affirmation every day this cycle - 'I trust the timings of my life.' It sounds a little crazy when i type it out but it does make me feel better

I know Archies some of gear GPS are morons. Yes for majority they should conceive again but it's not always the case. It will be for all of us though.

Yes I know your all right. It will happen when it happens & we should enjoy the sleep and non poop nappies until then

Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 13:30

Anna It will happen when it's meant to happen Smile I keep saying this to myself, and it really helps and stops me thinking "could I be doing more to help me conceive?"

Totally understand how annoying it is though, the first GP that I saw kept saying "well you got pregnant once, so there's obviously nothing wrong" Hmm Yeah ok I'll just go and tell that to all of those poor couples suffering from unexplained secondary fertility then

MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 12:57

Anna, I know it's frustrating but take the nurse's attitude as a positive in that she doesn't think there's too much to worry about.

It took me 12 months to conceive my son and I am on cycle 11 now. It feels like it should be much easier to have a baby but sometimes it just takes a while. Don't give up or get down. It will happen.

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 12:49

Haha hippy your not a hypocrite. We all do it. It seems so ages we're waiting an we crap at taking our own advise!

Yep fx girls the means nurse will be a distant memory and she will be right. It will happen when the time is right an now stressing will change that so we may as well sit back and enjoy the ride hey! (No pun intended )

Dollydaydream2829 · 03/05/2017 12:38

Thank you phase - how are you?

Thanks amanda - hope your TWW goes in quickly and great that you have a holiday to look forward to!

Hippy - you remind me so much of what I was like on the days leading up to my BFP! I desperately wanted to test 4/5/6 dpo then when the actual 9/10/11 DPO came round, I kept chickening! I tested very early at 11dpo and got a faint positive but the longer the wait, the better I guess! If you can tolerate it.... but then again, I always felt like if I got a BFP and it unfortunately didn't stick, I'd at least know I could get pregnant. It's a tricky decision....

I love your story too sophsta - just proves you don't need all those tricks and products all the time - relaxation and plain ol' DTD is all that's needed! Congrats again.

Anna glad your bloods were all fine and you don't need a scan. Hopefully you get your BFP in the next couple cycles and that nurse will be a distant memory!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 12:30

anna ... I'd take the nurses matter a fact attitude as a good sign, sounds like health wise you've got nothing to worry about. I know time does seem to drag on a bit when your ttc ... but she's right 6 months isn't that long .... says me the hypocrite 😉 Xxx

OP posts:
Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 12:24

Yes exactly. The nurse was a bit mean tbh! Bit cold and matter of fact. 😳😳 she was running on about I'm only 27 which has no reference to anything about how I feel!! An just said it's only been 6 months and would take some people bodies 6 months to get back into swing of things anyway. Ie basically was saying stop being an impatient bitch and suck it up 😂😂.

So I'm sucking it up and carrying on for now & try to be blissfully unaware and stop counting!

BellaMoon · 03/05/2017 12:01

@ArchiesMamaBird remember shout "hope your next shit is a hedgehog" hahahaahha

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 11:57

anna ... great to hear that all is well with your bloods .... hey hopefully you won't get to the 12 month stage .... come on cycle buddy .... Pma all the way xxx

Anna2006 · 03/05/2017 11:47

Yeh I had 11-12 LP as well. Seems quite common for lots of ladies an that length is fine! Like Hippy said 10 and under is considered maybe an issue.

Had my appointment with nurse today who said my bloods were fine (which I knew already) but wouldn't refer me for a scan as said it wasn't neccessry. Was hoping she wouldn't anyway just so I got reassurance all is still good. But nevermind looks like I'll just have to wait until 12 month mark!

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 11:44

soph thanks for your update .... i have to say it's one of my favourites .... I love the fact you just relaxed, I love the fact that your bfn turned into a bfp (clearly the best bit) and I love the fact you have no symptoms ..... #thereishopeforeveryone

I didn't do anything too differently apart from ensure we dtd about once every other day pretty much from my period to the end of fw. We were on holiday so that made it a little easier! I even went to a spa and went in the sauna so was fairly lax in general (and even had a drink or two, oops!).

In hindsight I tested too early which made me feel really down so in hindsight I would leave testing until after af is due. I also had zero symptoms so don't worry if you're feeling nothing! I still have nothing, not even sore boobs.

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 10:01

Cakes I hear ya on being bored of the 2ww.... I don't mind the first week but i find the second week drags on a bit .... hope you manage to keep yourself nice and busy ... well not too busy but enough to keep your mind off it.... is this even possible

Magpie thank you for keeping your fingers crossed ....

My LP tends to be 11-12 days I've noticed... i think as long as it's not less than 10 it's fine... anything below 10 is classified as LP defect according to Dr Google... :)

Archies I am trying to do the exact same .... stay positive but brace myself and try and stay grounded.... need to keep reminding myself that toddler tantrums are not acceptable at 38 years old! lol

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 09:40

Magpie I think as long as you have a decent length luteal phase then it doesn't really matter when you OV in your cycle. Mine has always been 14 days, but it was a super short 11 days last month which was strange. I'm wondering if it was something to do with the acupuncture as it was my first time going? So 'm not 100% sure when AF BFP is due this month now Hmm

MissMagpie · 03/05/2017 09:33

Congratulations on a lovely scan pic Dolly. So exciting!

And congrats on your BFP Soph! Yay!! What are your stats and method?...

I have my fingers crossed for you Archies, Hippy et al awaiting testing. Come on BFPs!

Concerning ovulating, I ovulate late but still have a 12 day luteal phase so it shouldn't affect ttc toi much I don't think?

Hope you are feeling better soon Bella. The first few weeks are the worse.

CakesALot · 03/05/2017 09:18

Haha the v flipping granny made me chortle!!! I kind of love that 'I'm old so I'll act how I like attitude'!! There has to be some perks to ageing 😂😂

I'm officially in the tww. Bored already

ArchiesMamaBird · 03/05/2017 09:09

Hippy Thank you, I'm trying not to be a major Negative Nancy, but don't want to get my hopes up too much either Grin

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 09:05

archies I know your very much in tune with your body but I am very much hoping you are wrong on this occasion

Loving the mean granny story .... #respectfornotretaliating

Morning ladies Smile

9dpo here and I woke up with my usual AF type cramps and back ache so I've lost my PMA a bit but still rooting for you Hippy!

And I got cut up on the way to work this morning by an OAP couple, and had to slam my brakes on, but thought 'I'm not going to do anything, respect your elders' and all that. Then I overtook them on the dual carriageway, looked in my rear view mirror and the old lady started flipping me the V's! I was gobsmacked!! #swearinggrannycrackedmeup

Hippychic79 · 03/05/2017 08:50

Sarahb Glad to hear you had a lovely weekend with DH and that’s great to hear that he’s agreed to get his doreen’s tested.

Moo Yeah I bet your right, you will go into labour when DH is on the golf course, lol. I think he’ll be fine with abandoning his game though.

Soph Sorry about my short post…. Wow, wow, wow, big hugs and congratulations. It’s amazing and very inspiring that your BFP was being elusive. I was wondering where you had got to, but I didn’t like to ask…. So I’m super pleased you came back with this news.

Anna Wow £40… yeah reflex is expensive but you’re right, it is so worth it, I absolutely love it but sadly can’t afford to do it weekly. My acupuncture is £15 for two sessions so £7.50 per week, but I only have 6-8 needles each week so it’s not as intense as Archies sessions. The acupuncturist just puts the needles in and then leaves me lying on the couch for 45-60 minutes. I really enjoy it though and as it’s so cheap, it would be rude not to go weekly.

Bella thank you for the #goodvibes… muchly appreciated. And loving the toad remark…. #gobellago

Patient thank you to you too for being excited for me …. Hopefully I will rise to the pressure.

Quick update from me… well I woke up at 4am this morning and clearly as DP doesn’t know I’m ttc I couldn’t really couldn’t go rooting round for my pee pot and sticks, so fmu was wasted. I then woke up at 6am and again, wasted another wee without really thinking. But having read about Soph’s elusive BFP, I’m thinking maybe I should wait a few more days …. I am 10dpo today. I did wake up at 4am with mild cramps and thought ‘oh no, she’s here’… but she’s not. FX she stays away. A few days ago I really wanted to test, but now I’m edging towards waiting…. I get all nervous about testing…. Not sure why! I will of course keep you all updated

Have a wonderful day you lovely ladies

@sarahboro1 can't lie it felt really good to get "fucking toad" out there. she was really nipping my nogging, commenting on my team update unnecessarily so she was put in her place lol. she does look like a toad as well, haha 😂

@AmandaP86x ah that's right, i remember now. well hopefully you got the heads up wee peggy was on her way and you planned the pumpage well enough. the 2ww is such an exciting time, hope peggy and doreen got on well 😁

@Dollydaydream2829 suppose i'll take a wee spot over projectile vom any day of the week. iv just entered week6 so i know it's more than likely the vom will appear in full force any day now. only had 1 ropey morning so far and i actually think that was down to overeating the night before. my appetite in the evenings is non existent #notcomplaining

@Sophsta so pleased for you chic. such amazing news. is this ttc #1 for you? (sorry i can't remember much). what was your approach last cycle? fill us in on all the usual info please #sharingiscaring

AmandaP86x · 02/05/2017 21:54
