We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Yeah, had a pretty good weekend para. Feeling a bit more chilled and positive. Though I know I will be utterly terrified if/when I do get a real bfp. Still, it feels like I am actually doing something ATM, getting ready for next cycle. Any signs of af for you?

No idea about iron. Would it be something they can test for when you get your bfp? I think someone else had low iron though... (hb?) probably more use than me!

Salt scrub was amazing. May have to buy more of it. I keep touching my skin now though.

When is LA grumpy? Will you get much time to chill out, or will it be really work heavy?

Parastars · 23/04/2017 20:22

Love the NYC pics mummy it's definitely on my bucket list!
You sound excited to start ttc Dancing I'm loving your optimism!

Has anyone been taking iron supplements? My bloods came back post surgery as possible anaemia but have been clear since I haven't been pregnant so was definitely a preggo thing. I bought some iron vitamins today in the hope to try and combat that for next time. Anyone else have anything similar?

Penguin27 · 23/04/2017 20:06

Sorry you've been feeling grumpy, grumpy Wink you're definitely allowed, it's hard work growing a human!

I think a RL meet up would be great!! Unlike others, I'm rubbish at imagining what people look like so it would be nice to put a face to all these names.

youngmummy3105 · 23/04/2017 20:05

Wiggley I've never heard of that but someone has given me some Angus castus to see if that helps, it's supposed to be a herb to help you ovulate or something I don't know

Wiggleyfingers · 23/04/2017 18:09

Welcome to our lovely grouping yummymummy! You're symptoms sound very promising. I came off the mirena coil last year and convinced myself I was pregnant for a couple of months after and that somehow I have ovulated just before removal and it had implanted after. Sadly I wasn't Sad apparently it's quite common, it's called the Mirena Crash?! But it sounds like you're in with a good chance if you've been dtd since! My cycles returned to normal straight away!

Grumpy at lease you have the awareness that you're being hormonal! You're growing a human, it's allowed.

Dancing I love a good salt scrub! Sounds wonderful, enjoy!

I agree about the mass meet-up. Imagine how lovely it would be with all of our tiny ones. To be honest, you guys know more about me than some of my closest friends at the moment! It's hard not being about to talk about our plans to ttc, but I don't want the added pressure of people speculating when the time comes.

otters2017 · 23/04/2017 17:07

jb sounds like you've got it well covered so Fx. I didn't test this morning as ran out of sticks so I won't know if it would have been static or nothing. Probably try to dtd later just to be sure it's covered then a day off and another one for luck! We can symptom spot in the dreaded 2WW together!

Welcome youngmunmy symptoms sound promising so good luck and Fx!

tigger sounds like you had it well
Covered too so Fx !

dancing glad you're ready to try again. I've just ordered 50 opks and a thermometer from Amazon. Hope it will arrive soon.

mummy New York looks fab, one of my fav cities in the world. 33 miles is impressive!! Enjoy the pancakes Smile

penguin happy humping Blush hope you catch that egg!

grumpy glad you're feeling better today. You definitely win as you're pregnant Winkhope the mani/pedi was relaxing. I've booked one for next weekend pre holiday to Italy.

youngmummy3105 · 23/04/2017 16:42

Not sure yet Jupiter. Hoping to wait until AFs due date but don't know if I will! Grumpy I came off the coil in Feb so I don't know maybe that's why? My body trying to regulate itself after so long without periods & extra hormones

TheGrumpySquirrel · 23/04/2017 15:06

Thank you otters I'm fine today - just tired -and to be honest the sick feeling only lasted about an hour. It's like nausea combined with heartburn and feeling shivery - nice! Jupiter we'll see if the pattern continues tonight.. glad your nausea has been better the last few days.

Mummy I'll PM you my details! Yes and we should all do a meet up at some point too! Great view of NYC! Well done on the walking - at least you are keeping fit at the same time.

Welcome youngmummy ☕️ I also had pregnancy type symptoms the first couple of months off the pill but crossing my fingers you get your BFP soon!

Good luck tigger and dancing hope you both catch an egg!

Hb and JB lovely sunny walks.. hope you enjoyed them. It's cold and cloudy / sunny here.

Well I'm officially a hormonal mess.. very grumpy this morning as MIL was being fussy and moving all my things around (I love her to bits and we get on great) and DH insisted on poaching the eggs so damn slowly that we were late leaving (they were big eggs so apparently couldn't be done quicker.. water wasn't even simmering!!! Hmm) and I got so stressed out I full on cried! He had to pack his bike in the car and I swear it took 45 minutes 👹 and the rush was because I have a mani pedi booked (pre LA) so I am also obviously a diva. But I'm pregnant so I win.

DancingUnicorn · 23/04/2017 14:49

Get on it penguin!!

Totally agree Jupiter a mass meet-up would be brilliant. Yes, this thread is completely amazing. I'm hoping to get some of the thread luck rubbing off.

Think I'm about to run myself a hot bath. Found some salt scrub in my clear out yesterday, so planning on getting my chill on. I'll exercise another day apart from I probably won't...

JB1983 · 23/04/2017 14:42

Go for it penguin!!

HeyJupiter · 23/04/2017 14:42

Hi young and welcome :) Those symptoms all sound very encouraging, have everything crossed for you. Any idea when you might test?

Tigger really hope you got it covered, sounds like you probably did - maybe sneak a few more in just in case.

Dancing I don’t know about ovulating when hcg still present… hmm, maybe the body attempts it anyway? Really excited for you for next month. Lovely Hb for sending her OPKs. Love this thread.

Grumpy how reassuring that mummy can give an amazing review of your midwife team. That must feel brilliant. We’ll ALL have to meet for coffee at some point when the babies have all arrived. That would be amazing.

mummy sounds like you are having a fabulous time! So happy for you. Your static face might be just around the corner. Oh and fab photo, what a view.

JB wow a gorgeous photo, now views like that would even tempt me to go on a walk! And Hb, loving all the spring sunshine shot.

Penguin27 · 23/04/2017 14:40

Hey all! So much to catch up on.

Such a small world grumpy and mummy! It'll be so exciting if you were to meet up and make this all very real.

Welcome young, fingers crossed for a bfp this month!

Those views are beautiful! Love NYC and the countryside.

CD19 today and according to Ovia I'm in my FW... need to get humping Blush

JB1983 · 23/04/2017 14:33

Yeah I'm in Scotland Hb.

Haha mummy who needs toys when there is a mouse to catch!

Mummyme87 · 23/04/2017 14:30

Those countryside pictures are equally gorgeous just so different 😍
I love NYC. I'm on my 4th trip. I'm bloody knackered though. Every muscle in me aches. I'm missing DS as well 😕 He's having a fab time with my sister though.. catching a mouse which seems to have made its way in the house!!

HbH · 23/04/2017 14:23

Are you in Scotland Jb ?

JB1983 · 23/04/2017 14:16

I loved NY mummy but remember the endless walking well. DH shoes fell apart and we had to go buy him new ones 😂. Enjoy the pancakes!

That looks a lovely walk Hb, the weather makes all the difference!

HbH · 23/04/2017 14:09

My morning walk! Not quite as epic as the hills or NYC but such a lovely day!

mummy I'm SO jealous of this view!!! It's completely stunning (& the pancakes!)

DancingUnicorn · 23/04/2017 13:59

Jb so jealous of the gorgeous scenery. I really need to do some exercise!

Mummyme87 · 23/04/2017 13:58

This was my view yesterday.. from One World Trade Center

8miles up a hill is pretty heavy going JB at least my walking has in the main been flat!

Just getting dressed then off for a day in Central Park... after some pancakes obvs 😂

JB1983 · 23/04/2017 13:52

Thanks Jupiter, I hope we catch the egg this month but won't be too disheartened if not as only getting back in the swing of trying.

mummy you are putting my 8 mile walk up the hills today to shame with your 33 miles. Can't beat the fresh air and blue skies though on a hangover-free weekend!

Fx young your symptoms sound promising.

dancing I have the one step OPKs too and got them cheap off eBay. I'm not sure what sensitivity they are.

Seven0fNine · 23/04/2017 13:49

Hey guys,
Cd14 here, haven't OPKed this month yet as I don't normally ov until about day 23 at the earliest.

Welcome young!!

Hope you are having a brilliant time mummy

DancingUnicorn · 23/04/2017 13:46

Thanks tigger. Decided to go all out and bought a bbt thermometer too! :) Actually feeling a little bit excited.

Tigger83 · 23/04/2017 13:42

Dancing I buy the strip ones from Amazon they're around £5.99-£9.99 for 50 I think? They're 20iu sensitivity I think x

HbH · 23/04/2017 12:20

Of course! PM me your address and I'll get them in the post on Monday x

DancingUnicorn · 23/04/2017 12:17

33 miles?! Wow Mummy that's incredible. I'm SOOOO lazy! Oo, you really might get baby Brooklyn? How much longer are you there for?

I'm going to ignore the HPT for now. When I rang EPU last week they said it would be 3-4 weeks until it was negative. I guess I just need to learn to be patient. it is not my strong suit!

HB Really? That would be amazing!
